The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

This paper extends the analysis of the fourth model of Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement(EPSA IV)and our proposed modification of the Libyan Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement(LEPSA I)to field *** paper focuses on risk evaluation and analyzing the sensitivity of the fiscal terms of EPSA IV model(cost recovery,A factors,and B factors)and the fiscal terms of LEPSA I model(initial production share,the geologic probability of success,and the oil reference price)on the profitability indicators of Net Present Value(NPV)and Internal Rate of Return(IRR).The deterministic analysis method and stochastic analysis method using the monte Carlo Simulation have been used in this *** two methods were used to show the probability distribution of the NPV and IRR on the basis of the random variables of fiscal terms in the two models of EPSA IV and LEPSA I,*** simulation output of the development field scenario of enhanced oil recovery using CO2 injection showed that the cost recovery is a very sensitive term on the NPV and IRR in the EPSA IV ***,the A and B factors in the EPSA IV model have different sensitivities on the NPV and *** B factor 3 and B factor 1 are more sensitive on the NPV and IRR than are other *** B factor 4 and A factor 4 have shown less effect on the NPV and IRR than the other ***,the simulation output showed that the initial share and reference price are more sensitive to the NPV and IRR than the probability of success on the basis of the LEPSA I model.

AIm:To study the effect of renalase peptide,RP-220,on cell viability of human corneal epithelial cells after alkali ***:A dose-response relationship between cell viability and exposure to NaOH solution were characterized using cultured human corneal epithelial *** of corneal epithelial cells was determined using commercially available mTT and CyQUANT?***:At a concentration of 6 mmol/L,insult with NaOH leads to reduced corneal epithelial cell viability by approximately 30%.This reduced viability was prevented by treating the cells after initial insult with the 20-amino acid renalase derived peptide(RP-220).CONCLUSION:RP-220 has a pro-survival role for RP-220 following alkaline insult to corneal epithelial cells.

Plants have evolved and diversified to reduce the damages imposed by in- fectious pathogens and herbivorous insects. Living in a sedentary lifestyle, plants are constantly adapting to their environment. They employ various strategies to increase per- formance and fitness. Thus, plants developed cost-effective strategies to defend against specific insects and pathogens. Plant defense, however, imposes selective pressure on in- sects and pathogens. This selective pressure provides incentives for pathogens and insects to diversify and develop strategies to counter plant defense. This results in an evolution- ary arms race among plants, pathogens and insects. The ever-changing adaptations and physiological alterations among these organisms make studying plant-vector-pathogen interactions a challenging and fascinating field. Studying plant defense and plant protec- tion requires knowledge of the relationship among organisms and the adaptive strategies each organism utilize. Therefore, this review focuses on the integral parts of plant-vector- pathogen interactions in order to understand the factors that affect plant defense and disease development. The review addresses plant-vector-pathogen co-evolution, plant defense strategies, specificity of plant defenses and plant-vector pathogen interactions. Improving the comprehension of these factors will provide a multi-dimensional perspective for the future research in pest and disease management.

AIm:To investigate the key factors in developing the trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)-induced postinflammatory irritable bowel syndrome(PI-IBS)model in rats. mETHODS:TNBS was administered to rats at the following conditions:(1)with different doses(20,10,5 mg/0.8 mL per rat);(2)with same dose in different concentrations(20 mg/rat,25,50 mg/mL);(3)in different ethanol percentage(25%,50%);and(4)at depth either 4 cm or 8 cm from *** 5 d and 4 wk after TNBS administration,inflammation severity and inflammation resolution were *** 4 and 8 wk after TNBS application,visceral hyperalgesia and enterochromaffin(EC)cell hyperplasia were assayed by abdominal withdrawal reflex test,silver staining and capillary electrophoresis. Second harmonic generation and sum frequency generation(SHG and SFG)provide effective means to realize coherent light at desired frequencies when lasing is not easily *** have found applications from sensing to quantum optics and are of particular interest for integrated photonics at communication *** the footprints of nonlinear components while maintaining their high up-conversion efficiency remains a challenge in the miniaturization of integrated *** we explore lithographically defined AlGaInP nano(micro)structures/Al_(2)O_(3)/Ag as a versatile platform to achieve efficient SHG/SFG in both waveguide and resonant cavity configurations in both narrow-and broadband infrared(IR)wavelength regimes(1300-1600 nm).The effective excitation of highly confined hybrid plasmonic modes at fundamental wavelengths allows efficient SHG/SFG to be achieved in a waveguide of a cross-section of 113 nm×250 nm,with a mode area on the deep subwavelength scale(λ2/135)at fundamental ***,we demonstrate direct visualization of SHG/SFG phase-matching evolution in the *** together with mode analysis highlights the origin of the improved SHG/SFG *** also demonstrate strongly enhanced SFG with a broadband IR source by exploiting multiple coherent SFG processes on 1μm diameter AlGaInP disks/Al_(2)O_(3)/Ag with a conversion efficiency of 14.8%mW^(−1) which is five times the SHG value using the narrowband IR *** both configurations,the hybrid plasmonic structures exhibit>1000 enhancement in the nonlinear conversion efficiency compared to their photonic *** results manifest the potential of developing such nanoscale hybrid plasmonic devices for state-of-the-art on-chip nonlinear optics applications.

Primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSC)is a chronic,progressive,hepatobiliary disease characterized by inflammation and fibrosis of the intra-and extra-hepatic bile *** natural history is one that generally progresses towards cirrhosis,liver failure,cholangiocarcinoma,and ultimately disease-related death,with a median liver transplantation-free survival time of approximately 15-20 ***,despite its lethal nature,PSC remains a heterogenous disease with significant variability in outcomes amongst different regions of the *** are also many regions where the outcomes of PSC have not been studied,limiting the overall understanding of this disease *** this review,we present the geoepidemiologic variations in outcomes of PSC,with a focus on survival pre-and post-liver transplantation as well as the concurrence of inflammatory bowel disease and hepatobiliary neoplasia.

Background: major burns are life threatening. Fluid resuscitation is required for survival to maintain intravascular volumes and prevent hypovolemic shock. Bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) has been recognised as a potential method of monitoring fluid shifts after burn and in other disease states. The aims of this study were to examine the reliability of BIS across different dressing conditions and electrode positions, establish the influence of Acticoat?on BIS variable measures and determine the validity of whole-body BIS to assess net fluid shift in the presence of moderate to major burns. methods: An observational longitudinal cohort study was conducted from December 2014 to February 2016. Patients with over 15% total body surface area (TBSA) burns and injury less than 48 h were enrolled in the study. BIS triplicate measures were collected in an open wound and with an ActicoatTmdressing (at 5 half hour intervals). Standard and alternate electrode placements were utilised for the reliability analysis and standard placement only for determining the validity of BIS in moderate to major burns. The Impedimde SFB7 was used to collect whole-body and segmental BIS measures. Stata statistical software, release 14 was utilised to analyse all results. Descriptive analyses were performed and were reported using the means and standard deviations (SD). Results: BIS-repeated measures established BIS raw resistance (R), and predicted volume variables were reliable in any condition (intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) 0.996-0.999, 95% confidence intervals (CI) 0.996-0.999) without a systematic difference. Acticoat?dressings significantly influenced all BIS-predicted volumes (p≤0.01) as determined by multilevel mixed effects (mLmE) linear regression analysis.
