Influence of genotypes and environmental factors on leaf triterpenoid content and growth of Cyclocarya paliurus

Cyclocarya paliurus, an economically valuable tree species, has traditionally been used as a nutraceutical food or medicine in China. However, limited information is available on its genotype selection and cultivation under a wide range of environmental conditions for growth and targeted health-promoting substances. We studied the effects of genotype and environment, and their interaction on leaf triterpenoid content and tree growth for 12 genotypes of C. paliurus grown at four sites. We quantified the correlation between leaf triterpenoid accumulation and tree growth. The contents of cyclocaric acid B, cyclocarioside I, and arjunolic acid ranged from 0.06 to 3.89, 0 to 3.71, and 0.65 to 8.86 mg g^-1, respectively. Three individual triterpenoids were primarily influenced by genotype (variation ranged from 53.7 to 68.0%), while environment accounted for most of the variation in total triterpenoid content and tree growth (71.3–89.5%). Most tested environmental parameters were significantly correlated to total triterpenoid content, but not to the contents of the individual triterpenoids measured. Growth in tree height and diameter at breast height were significantly negatively correlated with total triterpenoid content but were non-significantly correlated with individual triterpenoid contents. We conclude that genotypic selection, manipulation of environmental conditions, and implementation of appropriate silvicultural operations would be important strategies for increasing the accumulation of health-promoting phytochemicals.

Typhoon-Induced Ocean Waves and Stokes Drift:A Case Study of Typhoon Mangkhut(2018)

Ocean waves and Stokes drift are generated by *** study investigated the characteristics of ocean waves and wave-induced Stokes drift and their effects during Typhoon Mangkhut using European Centre for MediumRange Weather Forecasts(ECMWF)ERA5 datasets and observational *** results revealed that the typhoon generated intense cyclones and huge typhoon waves with a maximum wind speed of 45 m/s,a minimum pressure of955 h Pa,and a maximum significant wave height of 12 *** Stokes drift caused by typhoon waves exceeded 0.6m/s,the Stokes depth scale exceeded 18 m,and the maximum Stokes transport reached 6 m^(2)/*** spatial distribution of 10-m wind speed,typhoon wave height,Stokes drift,Stokes depth,and Stokes transport during the typhoon was highly correlated with the typhoon *** distribution along the typhoon track showed significant zonal asymmetry,with greater intensity on the right side of the typhoon track than on the left *** findings provide important insights into the impact of typhoons on ocean waves and Stokes drift,thus improving our understanding of the interactions between typhoons and the ocean *** study also investigated the contribution of Stokes transport to the total net transport during typhoons using Ekman-Stokes Numbers as a comparative *** results indicated that the ratio of Stokes transport to the total net transport reached up to 50%within the typhoon radius,while it was approximately 30%outside the *** Stokes transport induced by typhoon waves led to divergence in the transport direction,which resulted in upwelling of the lower ocean as a compensation ***,Stokes transport played a crucial role in the vertical mixing of the ocean during *** findings suggested that Stokes transport should be paid more attention to,particularly in high latitude ocean regions,where strong winds can amplify its effects.

The efficient electrocatalysts with low cost, high activity and good durability plays a crucial role in the application of direct formic acid fuel cells. Herein, Pd nanoparticles supported on N-doped hollow carbon nanospheres (NHCN) embedded in Ndoped graphene (NG) with three-dimensional (3D) layered porous configuration by a simple and economical method were investigated as direct formic acid fuel cell catalysts. Owing to the unique 3D interconnected layered porous configuration doped with nitrogen atoms, Pd/NHCN@NG catalyst with smaller Pd nanoparticle size shows large catalytic active surface area, superior electrocatalyticactivity,highsteady-statecurrentdensity,strongabilitytoresistCOpoisoning,farsurpassingthoseofconventionalPd/C,Pd/NG,andPd/***/GOratio,itisfoundthatwhenthe HCN/GO mass ratio is 1∶1, Pd/NHCN@NG catalyst has the most outstanding performance in catalytic oxidation of formic acid,with an activity 4.21 times that of Pd/C. This work has developed a superior carbon-based support material for electrocatalysts, which brings broad application prospects for the development of fuel cells.

Effect of annealing temperature on microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-Zn-Zr-Nd alloy with large final rolling deformation

In this study,the Mg-3Zn-0.5Zr-χNd(χ=0,0.6)alloys were subjected to final rolling treatment with large deformation of 50%.The impact of annealing temperatures on the microstructure and mechanical properties was *** rolled Mg-3Zn-0.5Zr-0.6Nd alloy exhibited an ultimate tensile strength of 386 MPa,a yield strength of 361 MPa,and an elongation of 7.1%.Annealing at different temperatures resulted in reduced strength and obviously increased elongation for both *** mechanical properties for the Mg-3Zn-0.5Zr-0.6Nd alloy were achieved after annealing at 200℃,with an ultimate tensile strength of 287 MPa,a yield strength of 235 MPa,and an elongation of 26.1%.The numerous deformed microstructures,twins,and precipitated phases in the rolled alloy could impede the deformation at room temperature and increase the work hardening *** annealing,a decrease in the work hardening effect and an increase in the dynamic recovery effect were obtained due to the formation of fine equiaxed grains,and the increased volume fraction of precipitated phases,which significantly improved the elongation of the ***,the addition of Nd element could enhance the annealing recrystallization rate,reduce the Schmid factor difference between basal and prismatic slip systems,facilitate multi-system slip initiation and improve the alloy plasticity.

企业影子银行业务作为非传统的信贷方式,在实践中对企业投资形成了一定的影响。本文阐述了影子银行对企业投资影响的作用机理,建立实证模型进行分析,研究发现:影子银行业务对企业投资呈现负面影响;影子银行业务可以通过资金空转、形成债务等渠道对企业投资形成影响效应;经营资产回报率较高企业在再贷款方面的影响更为显著,而经营资产回报率较低企业在购买金融资产等方面的影响更为显著。基于此,应提出进一步完善企业参与影子银行业务的风险识别机制,构建多元化影子银行规模动态监测系统、逐步提升资本市场的配置效率,不断完善直接融资功能、改善实体企业的投资环境,防止一些企业“脱实向虚”资金空转的发展势头,进一步加强企业信息披露以及资金运用的监管。

在数字经济时代,数字化转型有助于实现企业的“降本增效”,对企业投资也具有重要的推动作用。本文首先阐述了我国数字化转型与企业投资的发展状况、数字化转型对企业投资的影响机理,其次使用双向固定效应模型进行实证检验,实证结果发现:数字化转型对企业投资具有正向促进作用。选取企业价值、创新投入和人力资本变量进行传导机制检验,实证结果表明:数字化转型通过企业价值、创新投入和人力资本对企业投资起到正向促进作用。基于此,管理部门应当通过积极改革为数字化转型创造良好的氛围,企业应当积极重视数字化转型对企业投资带来的促进作用,以及企业应当重视在数字化转型中中介变量的影响作用。

Synaptic aging disrupts synaptic morphology and function in cerebellar Purkinje cells
