Separation of the ionospheric and thermospheric contributions in the data from the Triple Ionosophere Photo Meter onboard the Feng-Yun 3E satellite

The Triple Ionosphere Photo Meter （TRIPM） is a far ultraviolet nadir-view photometer that is onboard the secondgeneration,polar-orbiting Chinese meteorological satellite Feng-Yun 3E （FY-3E）,which was launched on July 5,*** has three channels,and each is used to measure different types of emissions:（1） 135.6 nm airglow produced by the recombination of the O+ions and electrons in the absence of sunlight （nighttime channel）;（2） 135.6 nm airglow from the OI when sunlight is present （daytime/dusk-dawn 135.6 nm channel）;and （3） Airglow in the N2LBH of the TRIPM （daytime/dusk-dawn N2LBH channel）.FY-3E is a satellite operating in the early morning ***,the data are mostly distributed on the dawndusk side or at times when the solar zenith angle is relatively *** this study,combined with simulation calculations,the data are *** further explore the application value of the data products,a model is used to separate the ionospheric radiative recombination contribution from the thermosphere photoelectron impact excitation contribution in the data from the daytime/dusk-dawn 135.6 nm *** approach not only improves the accuracy of O/N2derived from the 135.6 nm channel and N2LBH channel but also provides the ionospheric 135.6 nm radiance at the same time as the *** results show that the 135.6 nm radiance originating from the combination of O+and electrons extracted from the measurement data exhibits similar equatorial anomaly peak structure characteristics and seasonal variations as the corresponding GPS total electron content （TEC） *** the other hand,the separated 135.6 nm radiance generated from the thermosphere photoelectron collision excitation does not contain radiative recombination contributions;thus,the ionosphere influence is greatly avoided when the O/N2is obtained.

Bacterial indole-3-propionic acid inhibits macrophage IL-1β production through targeting methionine metabolism

The gut microbiota plays key roles in host health by shaping the host immune responses through their metabolites, like indole derivatives from tryptophan. However, the direct role of these indole derivatives in macrophage fate decision and the underlying mechanism remains unknown. Here, we found that bacterial indole-3-propionic acid(IPA) downregulates interleukin-1beta(IL-1β) production in M1 macrophages through inhibition of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB) signaling. Mechanistically, IPA binds specifically with methionine adenosyltransferase 2A(MAT2A) to promote S-adenosylmethionine(SAM) synthesis, which facilitates the DNA methylation of ubiquitin-specific peptidase 16(USP16, a deubiquitinase), and in turn promotes Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4) ubiquitination and NF-κB inhibition. furthermore,IPA administration attenuates sepsis in mouse models induced by lipopolysaccharides(LPS), showcasing its potential as a microbial-derived adjunct in alleviating inflammation. Collectively, our findings reveal a newly found microbial metabolite-immune system regulatory pathway mediated by IPA.

Expression of N-methyl-D-aspartic acid 2A-B and 2B receptors in anterior thalamic nucleus and subiculum complex of rats

BACKGROUND：Glutamate acid ionotropic receptor N-methyl-D-aspartic acid （NMDA） takes part in long-term potentiation, thereby influencing the process of learning and memory. OBJECTIVE： To verify expression of NMDA 2A/B and 2B receptors in the anterior thalamic nucleus and subiculum complex of rats. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A single-sample observation was performed at Department of Anatomy in Dalian Medical University （Dalian, Liaoning, China） from April to September in 2007. MATERIALS： Ten adult Wistar rats were used for this study, as well as rabbit anti-NMDA 2A/B and 2B antibodies. METHODS： The rats were anesthetized and perfused, followed by brain resection and coronal sectioning of the brain tissue. A 1：3 series was selected for immunohistochemistry, using antibodies specific to NMDA 2A/B and 2B receptors. Photos were taken using the Nikon image analysis system. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： Expression and distribution of immunohistochemistry staining of NMDA 2A/B and 2B receptor subunits. RESULTS： There were a large number of NMDA 2A/B and 2B receptor-positive neurons distributed throughout the anterior dorsal thalamic nucleus. In the anterior ventral thalamic nucleus, distribution of positive neurons was rare, staining intensity was lighter, and cell bodies were smaller compared with the anterior dorsal thalamic nucleus. In the subiculum complex, staining intensity of NMDA 2A/B and 2B-positive neurons was weakest in the molecular layer and stronger in the pyramidal layer, in particular the region with large cell bodies adjacent to the molecular layer. In the multiform layer, more positive neurons of various sizes were detected. CONCLUSION： NMDA 2A/B and 2B receptor subunits were richly distributed in the anterior thalamic nucleus, with a small difference existing between the anterior dorsal nucleus and anterior ventral nucleus. These neurons were also differentially distributed within the three layers of the subiculum complex.

Effect of Heat Treatment on Structure and Wear Resistance of High Chromium Cast Steel Containing Boron

The microstructure, mechanical properties and wear resistance of high chromium cast steel containing boron after different heat treatments were studied by means of the optical microscopy （OM）, the scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, hardness, impact toughness, tensile and pin-on-disc abrasion tests. The results show that as cast microstructures of boron-free high chromium steel consist of martensite and a few （Cr, Fe）_7C_3 carbide, and the macro-hardness of boron-free high chromium steel is 55-57 HRC. After 0.5 mass% B was added into high chromium cast steel, as-cast structure transforms into eutectic （Fe, Cr）2B, （Cr, Fe）7 （C, B）a and martensite, and the macro-hardness reaches 58-60 HRC. High temperature quenching leads to the disconnection and isolated distribution of boride, and there are many （Cr,Fe）_23 （C,B）_6 precipitated phases in the quenching structure. Quenching from 1050 ℃, high chromium steel obtained the highest hardness, and the hardness of high chromium cast steel containing boron is higher than that of boron-free high chromium steel. The change of quenching temperature has no obvious effect on impact toughness of high chromium steel, and the increase of quenching temperature leads to tensile strength having an increasing tendency. At the same quenching temperature, the wear resistance of high chromium cast steel containing boron is more excellent than that of boron-free high chromium steel. High chromium cast steel guide containing boron has good performance while using in steel bar mill.

With the rapid development of flexible wearable electronics,the demand for stretchable energy storage devices has *** this work,a novel gradient-layered architecture was design based on single-pore hollow lignin nanospheres(HLNPs)-intercalated two-dimensional transition metal carbide(Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene)for fabricating highly stretchable and durable *** depositing and inserting HLNPs in the MXene layers with a bottom-up decreasing gradient,a multilayered porous MXene structure with smooth ion channels was constructed by reducing the overstacking of MXene ***,the micro-chamber architecture of thin-walled lignin nanospheres effectively extended the contact area between lignin and MXene to improve ion and electron accessibility,thus better utilizing the pseudocapacitive property of *** these strategies effectively enhanced the capacitive performance of the *** addition,HLNPs,which acted as a protective phase for MXene layer,enhanced mechanical properties of the wrinkled stretchable electrodes by releasing stress through slip and deformation during the stretch-release cycling and greatly improved the structural integrity and capacitive stability of the *** electrodes and symmetric flexible all-solid-state supercapacitors capable of enduring 600%uniaxial tensile strain were developed with high specific capacitances of 1273 mF cm^(−2)(241 F g^(−1))and 514 mF cm^(−2)(95 F g^(−1)),***,their capacitances were well preserved after 1000 times of 600%stretch-release *** study showcased new possibilities of incorporating biobased lignin nanospheres in energy storage devices to fabricate stretchable devices leveraging synergies among various two-dimensional nanomaterials.

The explicit representations for tensorial Fourier expansion of 3_D crystal orientation distribution functions (CODFs) are established. In comparison with that the coefficients in the mth term of the Fourier expansion of a 3_D ODF make up just a single irreducible mth_order tensor, the coefficients in the mth term of the Fourier expansion of a 3_D CODF constitute generally so many as 2m+1 irreducible mth_order tensors. Therefore, the restricted forms of tensorial Fourier expansions of 3_D CODFs imposed by various micro_ and macro_scopic symmetries are further established, and it is shown that in most cases of symmetry the restricted forms of tensorial Fourier expansions of 3_D CODFs contain remarkably reduced numbers of mth_order irreducible tensors than the number 2m+1 . These results are based on the restricted forms of irreducible tensors imposed by various point_group symmetries, which are also thoroughly investigated in the present part in both 2_ and 3_D spaces.

Spectral Parameters of Nd^(3+) in the Nd^(3+):GdMgB_5O_(10) Crystal

The absorption and emission spectra of Nd3+:GdMgB5O10 crystal were inves- tigated. Based on Judd-Ofelt theory the three parameters of oscillator strength were obtained as follows: ?2 = 2.099×10-20 cm2, ?4 = 4.599×10-20 cm2 and ?6 = 5.139×10-20 cm2. The fluorescence branch rations were also obtained: β1 = 0.424, β2 = 0.474, β3 = 0.094 and β4 = 0.005. The radiative lifetime is 416 μs and quantum efficiency ηc 9.13%. The emission cross section σp (1.06 μm) is 4.38×10-19 cm2.

High strength-ductility nano-structured high manganese steel produced by cryogenic asymmetry-rolling

A bulk nanostructured twinning-induced plasticity （TWIP） steel with high ductility and high strength was fabricated by cryogenic asymmetry-rolling （cryo-ASR） and subsequent recovery treatment. It was found that the cryo-ASRed TWIP steels exhibit simultaneous improvements in the ductility, strength and work hardening. Typical microstructures of the cryo-ASR TWIP steel were characterized by shear bands and intensive mechanical nano-sized twins induced by cryogenic deformation. These mechanical nano-scale twins remain thermally stable during the subsequent recovery treatment. It is believed that the ductility enhancement and high work-hardening ability for the cryo-ASR TWIP steels should be mainly attributed to the high-densitv pre-existing nano-scale twins.

Power supply arm protection scheme of high-speed railway based on wide-area current differential

When fault occurs on cross-coupling autotransformer(AT)power supply traction network,the up-line and down-line feeder circuit breakers in the traction substation trip at the same time without selectivity,which leads to an extended power *** on equivalent circuit and Kirchhoff’s current law,the feeder current characteristic in the substation,AT station and sectioning post when T-R fault,F-R fault,and T-F fault occur are analyzed and their expressions are *** the traction power supply system is equipped with wide-area protection measurement and control system,the feeder protection device in each station collects the feeder currents in other two stations through the wide-area protection channel and a wide-area current differential protection scheme based on the feeder current characteristic is *** a short-circuit fault occurs in the power supply arm,all the feeder protection devices in each station receive the feeder currents with time stamp in other two *** data synchronous processing and logic judgment,the fault line of the power supply arm can be identified and isolated *** simulation result based on MATLAB/Simulink shows that the power supply arm protection scheme based on wide-area current differential has good fault discrimination ability under different fault positions,transition resistances,and fault *** verification of measured data shows that the novel protection scheme will not be affected by the special working conditions of the electrical multiple unit(EMU),and reliability,selectivity,and rapidity of relay protection are all improved.

Effect of excess lanthanum on corrosion and magnetocaloric property of LaFe11.5Si1.5 compounds

The corrosion and magnetocaloric property of LaFe11.5 Si1.5 compound with excess La from 0 wt% to 15 wt% were investigated by a scanning electron microscope(SEM), electrochemical workstation and a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM). With the increase of excess La from 0 wt%, 5 wt% to 10 wt% and15 wt%, most of the La-rich phase changes from granular La2 O3 phase to grain boundary LaFeSi *** La2 O3 is more stable than the main 1:13 phase, while LaFeSi phase is easy to be corroded than the1:13 phase. The maximum entropy change-△Smaxis 18.60, 21.48, 19.66 and 16.28 J/(kg·K) for 0 wt%,5 wt%, 10 wt% and 15 wt% excess of La, respectively. As adding 5 wt% excess La in LaFe11.5 Si1.5 compound leads to nearly single 1:13 phase, the largest magnetic entropy change and better corrosion resistance are obtained.
