Biodiversity of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (AM) fungi in mangroves of Goa in West India

Seventeen mangrove species of eight families at seven river- ine and fringe habitats in Goa West India were surveyed for Arbuscular Mycorrhizal （AM） fungal diversity. Sixteen species were found to be mycorrhizal and one species showed no AM fungal colonization. AM root colonization was recorded at all seven sites and ranged from 6%-77%. Maximum root colonization was recorded in Excoecaria agal- locha （77%） and minimum colonization in Avicennia marina （6%）. Paris-type colonization was predominant at all sites. Auxiliary cells were recorded in roots of Acanthus ilicifolius, Ceriops tagal and Sonneretia alba. AM fungal root colonization and spore density varied by plant species and site. Site average spore density ranged from 1.84 spores.g^-1 to 0.54 spores.g-1 of soil. In total, 28 AM fungal species of five genera, viz. Glomus, Acaulospora, Scutellospora, Gigaspora and Entrophospora, were recovered. Glomus was the dominant genus, three species of which were sporocarpic forms. Maximum site species richness （SR） ranged from 16 to 5. Species richness was maximum in A. ilicifolius where seven species of three genera were recovered. Based on relative abun- dance （RA） and isolation frequency （If）, two common species, viz. G. intraradices and A. laevis, were recovered from all seven sites.

This paper presents new results for strong solutions and their coincidence sets of the obstacle problem for linear hyperbolic operators of first order. An inequality similar to the LewyStampacchia ones for elliptic and parabolic problems is shown. Under nondegeneracy conditions the stability of the coincidence set is shown with respect to the variation of the data and with respect to approximation by semilinear hyperbolic problems. These results are applied to the asymptotic stability of the evolution problem with respect to the stationary coercive problem with obstacle.

Meloxicam(MLX) is an anti-inflammatory drug susceptible to variations and crystalline transitions. In compounding pharmacies, the complete crystallographic evaluation of the raw material is not a routine procedure. We performed a complete crystallographic characterization of aleatory raw MLX samples from compounding pharmacies. X-ray diffraction indicated the presence of two crystalline forms in one sample. DSC experiments suggested that crystallization, or a crystal transition, occurred differently between samples. The fTIR and ~1H NMR spectra showed characteristic assignments.^(13)C solid-state NMR spectroscopy indicated the presence of more than one phase in a sample from pharmacy B. The Hirshfeld surface analysis, with electrostatic potential projection, allowed complete assignment of the UV spectra in ethanol solution. The polymorph I of meloxicam was more active than polymorph III in an experimental model of acute inflammation in mice. Our results highlighted the need for complete crystallographic characterization and the separation of freely used raw materials in compounding pharmacies,as a routine procedure, to ensure the desired dose/effect.

This study assessed the quality parameters and consumer perception and behavior of butter processed with different ratios of cow and sheep milk *** milk cream butter(CMCB)showed lower moisture content and higher fat content,smaller fat globules,and higher concentrations of long-chain saturated fatty acids and monounsaturated fatty acids,resulting in improved potential health *** addition,CMCB showed yellow color,little salt,and butter taste as the main sensory characteristics,resulting in grateful and good digestibility *** milk cream addition improved the rheological properties of the products(lower viscosity,consistency index,and rigidity(J0),and higher fluidity and viscoelastic behavior(J1)),mainly due to the increased concentrations of short-chain and medium-chain saturated fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty ***,sheep milk cream butter(SMCB)was characterized by a greasy and striking aroma,with a lower perception of good digestibility and good appearance,and a higher bitter *** association of cow and sheep milk cream could be an exciting option to obtain products with improved fatty acid profiles,health indices,and yet maintain desired rheological and sensory *** formulation with 60%sheep milk cream and 40%cow milk cream would be the suggested combination.

Pool and billiards are amongst a family of games played on a table with six pockets along the rails. This paper presents an augmented reality tool designed to assist unskilled or amateur players of such games. The system is based on a projector and a Kinect 2 sensor placed above the table, acquiring and processing the game on-the-fly. By using depth information and detecting the table's rails(borders),the balls' positions, the cue direction, and the strike of the ball, computations predict the resulting balls' trajectories after the shot is played. These results—trajectories, visual effects, and menus—are visually output by the projector, making them visible on the snooker table. The system achieves a shot prediction accuracy of 98% when no bouncing occurs.
