Comparative study on CO_2 corrosion behavior of N80,P110,X52 and 13.r pipe lines in simulated stratum water

To better understand the carbon dioxide (CO2) corrosion behavior of carbon steel and its influence on petroleum development (including drilling,production and transportation) in the Daqing Oilfield,CO2 corrosion behaviors of N80,P110,X52 and 13.r pipe lines in simulated solution at high temperature and high pressure condition are investigated by dynamic corrosion experiments,scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) *** show that the corrosion rate of all pipe lines increases quickly when CO2 partial pressure increases from 0.5 to 1.5 MPa,but it slows down when CO2 partial pressure further increases from 1.5 to 4.5 MPa,during which localized corrosion is *** the experimental temperature ranges from 60 to 120°C,localized corrosion *** corrosion rate of all pipe lines decreases sharply when the temperature changes from 60 to 100°C,and it becomes stable after the temperature is higher than 100°*** the flow rate is in the range of 0–1.5 m/s,the corrosion rate of sample X52 remains unchanged,but localized corrosion gradually becomes very serious when the flow rate further *** analyzing the corrosion product scales of sample 13.r,some remarkable phenomena are *** the temperature range of 60–100°C,the corrosion product scales are loose and thick,but become very compact when the temperature increases above 100°*** the later case,localized corrosion is *** main components of the corrosion product scales are FeCO3.and Cr2O3.

Microstructural Features During Strain Induced Ferrite Transformation in 08 and 20Mn Steels

The microstructure evolution during strain induced ferrite transformation was followed in thermal-simulation tests of clean 08 and 20Mn steels. The influences of carbon equivalence and initial austenite grain size on ferrite grain refinement and the volume fraction of ferrite during straining were inspected. The results revealed that the accelerating effect of ferrite transformation by strain was increased as the carbon equivalence decreased. However, finer ferrite grains were obtained at higher carbon content. At strain of similar to1.5 ferrite grains less than 3.mum and 2 mum can be obtained in 08 and 20Mn steels respectively. Whereas the ferrite grain refinement in 08 steel was due to both effects of strain induced transformation and ferrite dynamic recrystallization, that in 20Mn was mainly due to strain induced transformation. Heavy strain can produce fine ferrite grains in coarse austenite grained 08 steel, but it would lead to band microstructure in coarse austenite grained 20Mn.

Producing Calcium-Bearing Mullite Thermal-Insulating Refractories by Kyanite

To improve the physical properties, a series of experiments have been camed out to produce calcium-bearing mullite thermal-insulating refractories by using kyanite as major raw materials. The experiments were carried out by a foaming technique and using white cement as a combing agent. The results show that the calcium-bearing mullite refractory has much better physical properhes than traditional clay refractory and high-alumina refractory.

Aluminum Control in CrNiMoV Steel during Electroslag Remelting Process

The residual aluminum content has a great influence upon CrNiMoV steel properties and the optimal content is about 0.010%. The aluminum control during the ESR process has been investigated in this paper. All experiments were car ried out in a 20 kg ESR furnace. The results show that when a 60%CaF_2-3.%Al_2O_3.5%SiO_2-5%CaO slag system and proper deoxidizing schedule is used, a reasonable ingot with optimal aluminum contents can be obtained. Silicon and magnesium contents are approximately the same with those in the electrode.

A New Genetic Algorithm Based on Niche Technique and Local Search Method

The genetic algorithm has been widely used in many fields as an easy robust global search and optimization method. In this paper, a new generic algorithm based on niche technique and local search method is presented under the consideration of inadequacies of the simple genetic algorithm. In order to prove the adaptability and validity of the improved genetic algorithm, optimization problems of multimodal functions with equal peaks, unequal peaks and complicated peak distribution are discussed. The simulation results show that compared to other niching methods, this improved genetic algorithm has obvious potential on many respects, such as convergence speed, solution accuracy, ability of global optimization, etc.

CABOSFV algorithm for high dimensional sparse data clustering

An algorithm, Clustering Algorithm Based On Sparse Feature Vector (CABOSFV),was proposed for the high dimensional clustering of binary sparse data. This algorithm compressesthe data effectively by using a tool 'Sparse Feature Vector', thus reduces the data scaleenormously, and can get the clustering result with only one data scan. Both theoretical analysis andempirical tests showed that CABOSFV is of low computational complexity. The algorithm findsclusters in high dimensional large datasets efficiently and handles noise effectively.

Adhesion of NiCu Films DC Biased Plasma-Sputter-Deposited on MgO (001)

NiCu films about 60nm thick were deposited on MgO (001) substrates at 23.℃ by DC plasma-sputtering at 2.7kV and 8mA in pure Ar gas using a Ni90Cu10 target. A DC bias voltage of 0, 60, 110 or 140V was applied to the substrate during deposition. The adhesion of the film to the substrate was studied using a scratch test as a function of . The application of is very effective in increasing the adhesion of the film to the substrate. In conclusion, the adhesion increases with cleaning the substrate surface by sputtering off impurity admolecules during the film initial formation due to the energetic Ar ion particle bombardment.

The precipitation and effect of nano nitrides in HSLC steel

The existing forms of N and Al in HSLC (high strength low carbon) steel produced by TSCR (thin slab casting and rolling process), the precipitation thermodynamics and kinetics of AlN, and its effects on structure and mechanical property are studied. The experimental results show that only a small quantity of nitrogen is com- bined into AlN in HSLC steel produced by TSCR and most of the nitrogen in steel is still free nitrogen. Aluminum-nitride is mainly precipitated during the period of slow air cooling after coiling, but not during rolling and water cooling. The acid-soluble aluminum has no obvious effect on the grain size and mechanical property of HSLC steel produced by TSCR whose acid-soluble aluminum content is 0.005%―0.043.. The precipitation of AlN is not the main cause of grain refinement of HSLC steel produced by TSCR, nor is AlN the dominating precipitate that has precipitation strengthening effect. The nano nitrides are not pure AlN, but have complex compositions.

Indian Ocean-MORB-type isotopic signature of Yushigou ophiolite in North Qilian Mountains and its implications

In order to explore the disputed issue concerning the tectonic affinity ofthe ancient ocean mantle of North Qilian Mountains (NQM), geochemical and Sr, Nd, Pb isotopiccompositions of pillow basalts of the Yushigou Ophiolite (YSGO) suite from NQM have been analyzedsystematically. The pillow basalts exhibit tholeiitic characteristics, with flatchondrite-normalized REE patterns ((La/Yb)_N = 0.98—1.27). They display no Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf negativeanomalies, and show MORB features in 2Nb-Zr/4-Y and Ti/100-Zr-YX3.tectonic discrimination *** results indicate that the Yushigou ophiolite is most likely to be formed in a mid-ocean ridgeor mature back-arc basin. Their isotopic data show a relatively broad and enriched ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr(0.70509 — 0.70700), restricted ^(143.Nd/^(144)Nd (0.512955-0.512978). Pb isotopes are in the rangeof ^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb (18.054-20.562), ^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb (15.53.-15.743. and ^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb(3..068-3..53.). These isotopic data imply that the basalts originated from the depleted mantle(DMM), with the involvement of enriched mantle components (mainly EMII). Geochemical comparisonsbetween the basalts in YSGO and the MORB-type basalts of ophiolite suites occurring in the knownancient Tethyan tectonic domain indicate that the ancient oceanic mantle represented by YSGO suiteforming in early Paleozoic in the North Qilian Moutains is very similar to the Tethyan mantle inboth trace elements and isotopic compositions. The North Qilian Mountains should be a part of theTethyan tectonic domain in early Paleozoic. This further implies that the Tethyan tectonic domaincan be deduced to early Paleozoic in the study area, which will be helpful to discussing thetectonic affinity and evolution of the North Qilian Mountains.

Calculation Models of Mass Action Concentrations for Metallic Melts Involving Monotectic

Based on the phase diagrams, measured activities as well asDeltaG(m) and DeltaG(xs), calculating models of mass action concentrations for metallic melts involving monotectic have been formulated. The calculated results agree with practice on the whole, showing that the models deduced generally can reflect the structural characteristics of these melts. The metastable compounds formed in the melts are of the types A(2)B(3., AB(2), A(2)B(3. or AB and A(2)B(3.+AB etc..
