This study delves into the combustion behavior of various lignite types within a circulating fluidized bed boiler(CFBB),with a primary focus on the impact of different bed material sphericity ratios(0.5,0.7,and 0.9).Utilizing bed material with a sphericity ratio of 0.9 sourced from theÇan power plant and verified through experimentation,the research reveals several key ***,furnace temperatures tended to rise with higher sphericity ratios,albeit with variations between lignite types,particularly highlighting the complexity of this relationship in the case of glI-Tunçbilek *** levels in the combustion chamber remained consistent across different sphericity ratios,indicating minimal influence on pressure *** combustion efficiency,especially at the bottom of the boiler,was observed at lower sphericity levels(0.5 and 0.7)forÇan lignite,as reflected in CO_(2) mole *** NO_(x) emissions generally decreased with lower sphericity,the sensitivity to sphericity varied by lignite type,with Ilgın lignite showcasing low NO_(x) but high SO_(2) emissions,underscoring the intricate interplay between lignite properties,sphericity,and ***,this study advances our understanding of CFBB combustion dynamics,offering insights valuable for optimizing performance and emissions control,particularly in lignite-based power.

Image denoising,one of the essential inverse problems,targets to remove noise/artifacts from input *** general,digital image denoising algorithms,executed on computers,present latency due to several iterations implemented in,e.g.,graphics processing units(gPUs).While deep learning-enabled methods can operate non-iteratively,they also introduce latency and impose a significant computational burden,leading to increased power ***,we introduce an analog diffractive image denoiser to all-optically and non-iteratively clean various forms of noise and artifacts from input images–implemented at the speed of light propagation within a thin diffractive visual processor that axially spanslength of *** all-optical image denoiser comprises passive transmissive layers optimized using deep learning to physically scatter the optical modes that represent various noise features,causing them to miss the output image Field-of-View(FoV)while retaining the object features of *** results show that these diffractive denoisers can efficiently remove salt and pepper noise and image rendering-related spatial artifacts from input phase or intensity images while achieving an output power efficiency of~30–40%.We experimentally demonstrated the effectiveness of this analog denoiser architecture using a 3D-printed diffractive visual processor operating at the terahertz *** to their speed,power-efficiency,and minimal computational overhead,all-optical diffractive denoisers can be transformative for various image display and projection systems,including,e.g.,holographic displays.

The objective of this study was to determine the annual crop residue potential in terms of types,quantities and mapping in *** calorific values of agricultural residues were determined by calorimeter according to ASTM D 5865 Standard Test Method for Coal and Coke *** this study,the energy potential of annual crop residues was evaluated by ArcgIS^(TM) which is a geographical information system *** total amount of unused annual crop residues was approximately 15.24 Mt/*** was found that the total calorific value of the field crop residues was around 268 PJ/a for the 2012 production period in *** major crops included in the ratio of the total calorific value were maize(45.81%),wheat(21.30%),sunflower(15.10%)and cotton(18.1%).The amount of CO_(2) emitted into the atmosphere can be reduced by 30 Mt/a year through the use of agricultural residues.

This study was aimed to determine biogas amount and the energy value which could be made from animal manure in *** this purpose,biogas potential was calculated with the number of dairy cattle and laying hens taking into consideration,which have high availability *** has a total of about 8.9 million dairy cattle and 98 million laying *** total 92.1 million tons of manure is obtained from these *** are 89.2 million tons of cattle manure and 2.9 million tons of laying hens *** 1.6 billion m3 of biogas can be produced from the usable amount of this *** heating value of biogas produced from this manure is about 36.7 *** values can provide 1.1%of Turkey’s annual energy consumption(80.5 Mtoe).The distribution of these calculated data by province was mapped using a gIS Software’s mapping *** provinces are ranked according to the amount of biogas production,the top 10 are Konya,Erzurum,İzmir,Balıkesir,Kars,Afyon,Diyarbakır,Aydın,Ankara and Ağrı.Furthermore,the greenhouse gas(gHg)emission abatement was calculated for demonstrating the environmental benefits of the biogas production from animal *** was determined that the CO2 emission abatement annually ranging between 17.2-25.3 million tons could be provided with the evaluation of biogas potential which was calculated.

This study examines the development and sedimentology of Can-Etili lignite basin in Biga Peninsula(NW Turkey) along with the palynologic and petrographic properties of the coals in this *** CanEtili lignite basin discordantly overlies Oligocene-aged Can *** basin consists of caldera type sedimentation developed by the combined effects of volcanism and *** volcanic rocks forming the basement of the basin consist of andesitic,dacitic and basaltic lava flows as well as agglomerates,tuff and silicified tuffs,and kaolin which is their alteration *** basement volcanic rocks cooled from high potassium and calc-alkaline *** trace element geochemistry of different rocks within the volcanics reveals that they are from a volcanic *** Can Formation contains lignites and consists of6 lithofacies representing alluvial,fluvial,marsh and lacustrine *** lithofacies are the lower volcanogenic conglomerate,the claystone,the lignite,the laminated organic claystone,the tuff intercalated sandstone-siltstone and the upper volcanogenic *** lignite in the basin is limnic and is formed in a non-fluvial marsh and marsh-lake *** abundant percentage of vegetation(Engelhardia,Sapotaceae,Cyrillaceae) is compatible with temperate and subtropical climatic conditions in the basin during sedimentation of *** coals of Can-Etili basin are humic with high sulfur content(6-6.5%average) mostly containing huminite compounds belonging to the class of lignitelow bituminous(C-A) *** coalification rank is between 0.38%and 0.56%*** coals are formed in limnic-limnotelmatic marsh zones based on their microlithotype *** inorganic components of the coal mostly consist of pyrite and *** trace elements,As,Th,U and V,are higher than international coal *** coal quality is adversely affected by high sulfur content and sulfur driven trace element *** lignite reserve(possible-proved)

It is a well-established fact that wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are very power constraint networks, but besides this, they are inherently more fault-prone than any other type of wireless network and their protocol design is very application specific. Major reasons for the faults are the unpredictable wireless communication channel, battery depletion, as well as fragility and mobility of the nodes. Furthermore, as traditional protocol design methods have proved inadequate, the cross-layer design (ClD) approach, which allows for interactions between different layers, providing more flexible and energy-efficient functionality, has emerged as a viable solution for WSNs. In this study we define a fault tolerance management module suitable to the requirements, limitations, and specifics of WSNs, encompassing methods for fault detection, fault prevention, fault management, and recovery. The suggested solution is in line with the ClD approach, which is an important factor in increasing the network performance. Through simulations the functionality of the network is evaluated, based on packet loss, delay, and energy consumption, and is compared with a similar solution not including fault management. The results achieved support the idea that the introduction of a unified approach to fault management improves the network performance as a whole.

The current earthquake forecast algorithms are not free of shortcomings due to inherent ***,the requirement of stationarity in the evaluation of earthquake time series as a prerequisite,significantly limits the use of forecast algorithms to areas where stationary data is not *** shortcoming of forecast algorithms is the ergodicity assumption,which states that certain characteristics of seismicity are spatially *** this study,a new earthquake forecast approach is introduced for the locations where stationary data are not *** this purpose,the spatial activity rate density for each spatial unit is evaluated as a parameter of a Markov *** temporal pattern is identified by setting the states at certain spatial activity rate *** using the transition patterns between the states,1-and 5-year forecasts were *** method is suggested as an alternative and complementary to the existing methods by proposing a solution to the issues of ergodicity and stationarity assumptions at the same time.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to review the urine products of bone breakdown as markers of bone resorption and usefulness of urinary hydroxyproline.Data related researches published in 1985 -2000 were systematically reviewed.Results Bone markers could be used for early diagnosis of bone metabolic diseases. Biochemical markers of bone resorption that reflect osteoclast activity and/or collagen degradation provide a new and potentially important clinical tool for the assessment and monitoring of bone metabolism. Assessment of bone resorption can be achieved with measurement of urinary hydroxylysine glycosides, urinary excretion of the collagen pyridinium cross-links, urinary excretion of type I collagen telopeptide breakdown products (cross-linked telopeptides) and urinary hydroxyproline.Conclusion Urinary hydroxyproline has been in use as a marker of bone resorption, but it lacks sensitivity and specificity. It is a modified aminoacid that is a metabolic product of collagen breakdown. Hydroxyproline may be released either free or with fragments of the collagen molecule attached during bone resorption, and it is also liberated by the breakdown of complement and nonskeletal collagen.

Dexmedetomidine is anα2 agonist that is frequently used for sedation in intensive care units(ICUs).Hypotension and bradycardia are common adverse effects observed in clinical *** perioperative conditions,polyuria is a rare adverse effect with limited case reports after dexmedetomidine *** to this situation,in ICU,there are rare *** present the case of a 59-year-old man who developed polyuria secondary to high-dose intravenous dexmedetomidine infusion in the medical ICU.
