Using the experimentally known aromatic icosahedral superatoms I_(h)b_(12)H_(12)2−and D_(5d)1,12-C_(2)b_(10)H_(12)as building blocks and based on extensive density functional theory calculations,we predict herein a series of core–shell superpolyhedral boranes and carboranes in a bottom-up approach,including the high-symmetry Th b_(12)@b_(152)H_(72)2−(2),C2h C_(2)b_(10)@b_(152)H_(72)(3),D_(3d)b_(12)@b_(144)H_(66)(4),I_(h)b_(12)@C_(24)b_(12)0H_(72)2−(6),and D_(5d)C_(2)b_(10)@C_(24)b_(12)0H_(72)(7).More interestingly,the superatom-assembled linear D2h b_(36)H_(32)^(2−)(8),close-packed planar D_(3d)b_(84)H_(60)^(2−)(10),and nearly close-packed core−shell D_(3d)b_(12)@b144H_(6)6(4)can be extended periodically to form the one-dimensional(1D)α-rhombohedral borane nanowire b_(12)H_(10)(Pmmm)(9),two-dimensional(2D)α-rhombohedral monolayer borophane b_(12)H_(6)(P m1)(11),and the experimentally known three-dimensional(3D)α-rhombohedral boron(R m)(12)which can be viewed as an assembly of the monolayer b_(12)H_(6)(11)staggered in vertical direction,setting up a bottom-up strategy to form low-dimensional boron-based nanomaterials from their borane“seeds”via partial or complete *** bonding analyses indicate that the high stability of these nanostructures originates from the spherical aromaticity of their icosahedral b_(12)or C_(2)b_(10)structural units which possess the universal skeleton electronic configuration of 1S21P61D101F8 following the Wade’s n+1 *** infrared(IR)and Raman spectra of the most-concerned neutral b_(12)@b144H_(6)6(4)and C_(2)b_(10)@C_(24)b_(12)0H_(72)(7)are computationally simulated to facilitate their experimental characterizations.

Contemporary demands necessitate the swift and accurate detection of cracks in critical infrastructures,including tunnels and *** study proposed a transfer learning-based encoder-decoder method with visual explanations for infrastructure crack ***,a vast dataset containing 7089 images was developed,comprising diverse conditions—simple and complex crack patterns as well as clean and rough ***,leveraging transfer learning,an encoder-decoder model with visual explanations was formulated,utilizing varied pre-trained convolutional neural network(CNN)as the *** explanations were achieved through gradient-weighted class activation mapping(Grad-CAM)to interpret the CNN segmentation ***,accuracy,complexity(computation and model),and memory usage assessed CNN feasibility in practical *** performance was gauged via prediction and visual *** investigation encompassed hyperparameters,data augmentation,deep learning from scratch *** learning,segmentation model architectures,segmentation model encoders,and encoder pre-training *** underscored transfer learning’s potency in enhancing CNN accuracy for crack segmentation,surpassing deep learning from ***,encoder classification accuracy bore no significant correlation with CNN segmentation *** all tested models,UNet-EfficientNet_b7 excelled in crack segmentation,harmonizing accuracy,complexity,memory usage,prediction,and visual explanation.

Inspired by flight biology,morphing flight technology has great potential to improve the adaptability and maneuverability of *** paper is devoted to the flight control problem of morphing aircraft,and aimed at safe and fuel-saving flight through morphing ***,the longitudinal dynamics of a morphing aircraft with telescopic wings is modelled as a strict-feedback nonlinear *** fitting the expression of aerodynamic parameters by the mor-phing ratio,the model uncertainties induced by morphing errors are embedded in the *** meet the safety and fuel-saving requirements,an Adaptive Coordinated Tracking Control Scheme(ACTCS)is then proposed,which consists of a morphing control module and a tracking control *** the morphing control module,an on-line morphing decision model is given in an optimization process with respect to the morphing ratio,and a second-order tracking filter is introduced to smooth the decision output and ensure the physical *** the tracking control module,the novel adaptive controllers for the velocity and altitude subsystems are proposed based on the dynamic surface control method,in which adaptive mechanisms are designed to com-pensate for the model ***,the proposed ACTCS is simulated in nine different cases of the test flight mission,to verify its effectiveness,robustness and fuel-saving effect.

Karrikins and strigolactones govern plant development and environmental responses through closely related signaling *** transcriptional repressor proteins SUPPRESSOR OF MAX21(SMAX1),SMAX1-like2(SMXL2),and D53-like SMXLs mediate karrikin and strigolactone signaling by directly binding downstream genes or byinhibiting the activities of transcription *** this study,we characterized the non-transcriptional regulatory activities of SMXL proteins in *** discovered that SMAX1 and SMXL2 with mutations in their ethylene-responsefactor-associated amphiphilic repression(EAR)motif had undetectable or weak transcriptional repression activities but still partially rescued the hypocotyl elongation defects and fully reversed the cotyledon epinasty defects of the smax1 smxl2 ***1 and SMXL2 directly interact with PHYTOCHROME INTERACTION FACTOR4(PIF4)and PIF5 to enhance their protein stability by interacting with phytochrome b(phyb)and suppressing the association of phyb with PIF4 and *** karrikin-responsive genes were then identified by treatment with GR24ent-ssa,GR24 analog showing karrikin ***,INDOLE-3-ACETIC ACID INDUCIbLE 29(IAA29)expression was repressed by GR24^(ent-5D)streatment in a PIF4-and PIF5-dependent and EARindependent manner,whereas KARRIKIN UPREGULATED F-bOX 1(KUF1)expression was induced in a PIF4-and PIF5-independent and EAR-dependent ***,the non-transcriptional regulatory activity of SMAX1,which is independent of the EAR motif,had a global effect on gene *** together,these results indicate that non-transcriptional regulatory activities of SMAX1 and SMXL2 mediate karrikin-regulated seedling response to red light.

Suspended vegetation in rivers,lakes,reservoirs and canals can change flow structure,which will in turn affect the sediment transport and cause the variation of water ecological *** order to study the characteristics of bend flow through suspended vegetation,three-dimensional numerical simulations are carried out by using the multi-relaxation-time lattice boltzmann method(MRT-LbM).The drag force induced by vegetation is added in the velocity correction in the equilibrium distribution and a hybrid format combined bounce and specular reflection scheme is applied in the solid-fluid *** the validation of this model,six cases are designed to conduct the numerical simulations according to the root depth and the arrangement of *** simulated results show that the suspended vegetation can redistribute the flow structure in curved open *** the arrangement of suspended vegetation,the main flow moves to the side without vegetation,and the distribution of velocity tends to be balanced when vegetation is arranged on the entire cross section,the range of circulating current is reduced from the whole cross section to the local position without vegetation,however,the circulating current can still exist in the curve where the suspended vegetation enters less than half of the water *** addition,it can also be concluded that the suspended vegetation can affect the lateral gradient of flow velocity,and the bed shear stress in the curved channel.

Populus trinervis is native to China and plays an irreplaceable role in maintaining the ecological balance of boreal and temperate *** mainly grows in high-altitude *** present,there are limited studies on the response of *** to different light qualities,so it is necessary to investigate the photosynthetic physiological changes of *** in different light *** our study,*** was grown for 8 months under light filtered by three different colored *** three treatments were blue film,green film,and white plastic *** effects of blue(b),green(G),and white(W)light on photosynthetic pigment content,absolute growth,photosynthetic parameters,soluble sugar content,and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters were studied,*** to the Wtreatment,the chlorophyll a and b,carotenoids,total chlorophyll content(a+b),absolute growth of seedling height,net photosynthetic rate(PN),water use efficiency(WUE),total soluble sugars,sucrose,and nonphotochemical quenching(NPQ)of *** were significantly increased under b ***,chlorophyll a and b,carotenoids,total chlorophyll(a+b),transpiration rate(Tr),intercellular CO_(2) concentration(Ci),stomatal conductance(gs),absolute growth of seedling height and leaf length,reducing sugar,total soluble sugar content,and NPQ were significantly increased under G *** results showed that the absolute growth and chlorophyll content of *** were increased under b light,while the sugar and photosynthetic parameters were increased under G *** studies may look into how b light impacts absolute growth and promotional mechanisms,as well as how G light affects the accumulation of sugar levels.

MoSe_(2),with high theoretical specific capacity,has attracted a lot of *** remains an open challenge to effectively suppress the irreversible selenium dissolution and rapid capacity decrease induced by severe volume change during ***,we synthesize MoSe_(2)nanoflowers dispersed on one-dimensional(1D)N-doped carbon nanofibers(MoSe_(2)@NCNFs)for use as a freestanding *** this unique structure,the 1D N-doped carbon nanofibers are found to not only enhance the conductivity but also ensure the structural integrity during the Li^(+)/Na^(+)insertion/destraction *** expected,at 2 A·g^(-1),the specific capacity of the MoSe_(2)@NCNFs is maintained at 180 mAh·g^(-1)after 500 cycles when used in lithium storage ***,in the case of sodium storage,at 1 A·g^(-1),the MoSe_(2)@NCNFs shows a capacity of 122mAh·g^(-1)after 500 *** findings suggest that the MoSe_(2)@NCNF electrodes may be a promising candidate for use in reversible Li/Na storage applications.
