convolutional Neural Networks(cNNs)models succeed in vast *** are available in a variety of topologies and *** challenge in this area is to develop the optimal cNN architecture for a particular issue in order to achieve high results by using minimal computational resources to train the *** proposed framework to automated design is aimed at resolving this *** proposed framework is focused on a genetic algorithm that develops a population of cNN models in order to find the architecture that is the best *** comparison to the co-authored work,our proposed framework is concerned with creating lightweight architectures with a limited number of parameters while retaining a high degree of validity accuracy utilizing an ensemble learning *** architecture is intended to operate on low-resource machines,rendering it ideal for implementation in a number of *** common benchmark image datasets are used to test the proposed framework,and it is compared to peer competitors’work utilizing a range of parameters,including accuracy,the number of model parameters used,the number of GPUs used,and the number of GPU days needed to complete the *** experimental findings demonstrated a significant advantage in terms of GPU days,accuracy,and the number of parameters in the discovered model.

A rapid and efficient, one pot synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives has been attempted by three- component reaction of isatin, malononitrile and carbonyl compound possessing a reactive c^-methylene group by using task specific ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium hydroxide [bmim]OH as a catalyst. The important features of this methodology are straight forward route in short reaction time at room temperature and avoid any hazardous organic solvent, toxic catalyst, tedious purification step. Interestingly, this protocol is not only limited to mono-systems but also to the synthesis of newer bis- spirooxindole system. The separation of the product and reusability of the catalyst are easy with excellent yield. The [bmim]OH catalyst system could be reused up to five recycles without appreciable loss of activity.

The stabilization problem for a class of nonlinear networked control systems (NcSs) is investigated in this paper. A Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent the nonlinear controlled plant in the NcSs. based on parallel distributed compensation (PDc) technique, a novel model of the nonlinear NcSs is established firstly in consideration of both network-induced delay and packet losses in transmission. Then a stability condition of the nonlinear NcSs is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) by using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method and the delay input approach. Furthermore, the control design of the nonlinear NcSs is developed by means of LMIs. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In order to achieve a lower consumed energy, the performance of a new type of rotating volumetric pump with two profiled rotors (variant I) which is compared with a centrifugal pump (variant II) is presented. The analysis regarding the same flow rate of transported liquid and the same pressure increases points out the conduct of the system at the variation of the key operating parameters. The actual driving power of the rotating volumetric pump is higher stating that is more advantageous in operation. The effective efficiency of the system is improved due to the original constructive solution.

Finite element analysis(FEA) method was employed to perform three-dimensional(3D) electric field simulations for gas detectors with multiple wire electrodes.A new element refinement method developed for use in conjunction with the FEA program ANSYS allows successful meshing of the wires without physically inputting the wires in the chamber geometry. First, we demonstrate a model with only one wire, for which we calculate the potential distributions on the central plane and the end-cap region. The results are compared to the calculations obtained using GARFIELD, a two-dimensional program that uses the nearly exact boundary element method. Then we extend the method to same model, but with seven *** results suggest that the new method can be applied easily to the 3D electric field calculations for complicated gas detectors with many wires and complicated geometry such as multiwire proportional chambers and time projection chambers.

The LIGO detection of gravitational waves(GW) from merging black holes in 2015 marked the beginning of a new era in observational astronomy. The detection of an electromagnetic signal from a GW source is the critical next step to explore in detail the physics involved. The Antarctic Survey Telescopes(AST3),located at Dome A, Antarctica, is uniquely situated for rapid response time-domain astronomy with its continuous night-time coverage during the austral winter. We report optical observations of the GW source(GW 170817) in the nearby galaxy NGc 4993 using AST3. The data show a rapidly fading transient at around 1 day after the GW trigger, with the i-band magnitude declining from 17:23 ± 0:13 magnitude to 17:72 ± 0:09 magnitude in ~1:8 h. The brightness and time evolution of the optical transient associated with GW 170817 are broadly consistent with the predictions of models involving merging binary neutron stars. We infer from our data that the merging process ejected about ~10^(-2) solar mass of radioactive material at a speed of up to 30% the speed of light.

Various amounts(up to 10 wt%)of palygorskite nanofibers functionalized by 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTES)coupling agent were used to reinforce polyamide 11 nanocomposites prepared by melt *** covalent bonding of the silane on the palygorskite surface was confirmed by infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis.X-ray diffraction revealed the retention of theα-form of polyamide crystals upon the addition of both natural and silane treated palygorskite *** the investigated nanocomposites showed an improvement of the thermal stability,especially when surface treated palygorskite nanofibers were *** tests and dynamic mechanical thermal analyses on the prepared materials evidenced how the incorporation of palygorskite nanofibers significantly increased the elastic and the storage moduli of polyamide,and this enhancement was more evident when natural palygorskite nanorods were used.

HANbIT is a magnetic mirror confinement device. Recent physics experimentshave been mainly focused on identifying discharge characteristics and on getting stable plasmaproduction and operation modes, by using a 500 kW slot antenna system at a fixed RF frequency of 3.5MHz and varying discharge conditions such as fueling rate, RF power, and b-field intensity incentral cell. Two distinct operation modes are found to be very sensitive to the RF power as well asthe ratio of the RF frequency to the ion cyclotron frequency. A MHD interchange mode of m = - 1 isclearly observed and the stabilizing mechanism can be explained by the sideband coupling theory.

Multiphasic scaffolds for the repair of osteochondral defects:Outcomes of preclinical studies

Osteochondral defects are caused by injury to both the articular cartilage and subchondral bone within skeletal joints. They can lead to irreversible joint damage and increase the risk of progression to osteoarthritis. current treatments for osteochondral injuries are not curative and only target symptoms, highlighting the need for a tissue engineering solution. Scaffold-based approaches can be used to assist osteochondral tissue regeneration, where biomaterials tailored to the properties of cartilage and bone are used to restore the defect and minimise the risk of further joint degeneration. This review captures original research studies published since 2015, on multiphasic scaffolds used to treat osteochondral defects in animal models. These studies used an extensive range of biomaterials for scaffold fabrication, consisting mainly of natural and synthetic polymers. Different methods were used to create multiphasic scaffold designs, including by integrating or fabricating multiple layers, creating gradients, or through the addition of factors such as minerals, growth factors, and cells. The studies used a variety of animals to model osteochondral defects, where rabbits were the most commonly chosen and the vast majority of studies reported small rather than large animal models. The few available clinical studies reporting cell-free scaffolds have shown promising early-stage results in osteochondral repair, but long-term follow-up is necessary to demonstrate consistency in defect restoration. Overall, preclinical studies of multiphasic scaffolds show favourable results in simultaneously regenerating cartilage and bone in animal models of osteochondral defects, suggesting that biomaterials-based tissue engineering strategies may be a promising solution.
