Plant migration and gene flow from genetically modified or exotic trees to nearby lands or by crossing with wild relatives is a major public and regulatory *** genetic strategies exist to mitigate potential gene flow;however,the long delay in onset of flow-ering is a severe constraint to research *** used heat-induced FT overexpression to speed assessment of the expected floral phenotypes after CRISPR knockout of poplar homologs of the key floral genes,lEAFY and *** selected events with previously characterized CRISPR-Cas9 induced biallelic changes then re-transformed them with the Arabidopsis thaliana FlOWERInG lOCUS T(AtFT)gene under control of either a strong constitutive promoter or a heat-inducible *** successfully obtained flowering in both a male and female clone of poplar,observing a wide range of inflorescence and floral forms among flowers,ramets,and insertion ***,flowers obtained from the selected lFY and AG targeted events were consistent with what would be predicted for loss-of-function of these ***-targeted events showed small catkins with leaf-like organs,AG-targeted events had nested floral organs consistent with reduction in floral determinacy and absence of well-formed carpels or *** findings demonstrate the great developmental plasticity of Populus flowers during genetically accelerated flowering,which may be of horticultural *** also provide an informative early view of floral phenotypes and apparent sterility from knockouts of both these gene targets.

Rolling dynamic compaction (RDC),which employs non-circular module towed behind a tractor,is an innovative soil compaction method that has proven to be successful in many ground improvement *** involves repeatedly delivering high-energy impact blows onto the ground surface,which improves soil density and thus soil strength and ***,there exists a lack of methods to predict the effectiveness of RDC in different ground conditions,which has become a major obstacle to its *** this,in this context,a prediction model is developed based on linear genetic programming (lGP),which is one of the common approaches in application of artificial intelligence for nonlinear *** model is based on in situ density-related data in terms of dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) results obtained from several projects that have employed the 4-sided,8-t impact roller (bH-1300).It is shown that the model is accurate and reliable over a range of soil ***,a series of parametric studies confirms its robustness in generalizing *** addition,the results of the comparative study indicate that the optimal lGP model has a better predictive performance than the existing artificial neural network (Ann) model developed earlier by the authors.

Atmospheric pressure air/Ar/H_2O gliding arc discharge plasma is produced by a pulsed dc power supply. An optical emission spectroscopic（OES） diagnostic technique is used for the characterization of plasmas and for identifications of OH and O radicals along with other species in the plasmas. The OES diagnostic technique reveals the excitation Tx？≈？5550–9000 K, rotational Tr？≈？1350–2700 K and gas Tg？≈？850–1600 K temperatures, and electron density n？（1.1-1.9） ′101 4 cm^（-3） e under different experimental conditions. The production and destruction of OH and O radicals are investigated as functions of applied voltage and air flow rate. Relative intensities of OH and O radicals indicate that their production rates are increased with increasing Ar content in the gas mixture and applied voltage. nereveals that the higher densities of OH and O radicals are produced in the discharge due to more effective electron impact dissociation of H_2O and O_2 molecules caused by higher kinetic energies as gained by electrons from the enhanced electric field as well as by enhanced n *** productions of OH and O are decreasing with increasing air flow rate due to removal of Joule heat from the discharge region but enhanced air flow rate significantly modifies discharge maintenance properties. besides, Tgsignificantly reduces with the enhanced air flow rate. This investigation reveals that Ar plays a significant role in the production of OH and O radicals.

We have developed a 2D analytical model for the single gate AllnSb/lnSb HEMT device by solving the Poisson equation using the parabolic approximation method. The developed model analyses the device perfomance by calculating the parameters such as surface potential, electric field distribution and drain current. The high mobility of the AlInSb/InSb quantum makes this HEMT ideal for high frequency, high power applications. The working of the single gate AllnSb/InSb HEMT device is studied by considering the variation of gate source voltage, drain source voltage, and channel length under the gate region and temperature. The carrier transport efficiency is improved by uniform electric field along the channel and the peak values near the source and drain regions. The results from the analytical model are compared with that of numerical simulations （TCAD） and a good agreement between them is achieved.

Open data initiatives have promoted governmental agencies and scientific organizations to publish data online for *** of geoscience focuses on processing georeferenced quantitative data(e.g.,rock parameters,geochemical tests,geophysical surveys and satellite imagery)for discovering new *** knowledge is the cognitive result of human knowledge of the spatial distribution,evolution and interaction patterns of geological objects or *** graphs(KGs)can formalize unstructured knowledge into structured form and have been used in supporting decision-making *** this paper,we propose a novel framework that can extract the geological knowledge graph(GKG)from public reports relating to a modelling *** on the analysis of basic questions answered by geology,we summarize and abstract geological knowledge elements and then explore a geological knowledge representation model with three levels of“geological conceptsgeological entities-geological relations”to describe semantic units of geological knowledge and their logic ***,based on the characteristics of mineral resource reports,the geological knowledge representation model oriented to“object relationships”and the hierarchical geological knowledge representation model oriented to“process relationships”are proposed with reference to the commonly used geological knowledge graph *** research in this paper can provide some implications for the formalization and structured representation of geological knowledge graphs.
