Abundance and Fluctuation in Spider Diversity in Citrus Fruits from Located in Vicinity of Faisalabad Pakistan

Spiders for the present study were collected from different fruit gardens（i.e. citrus） located at various localities（i.e., Tehsil Samundri, Jaranwala, Tandlianwala and Faisalabad） of District Faisalabad, Pakistan. Spiders belonging to six families and 33 species were captured from the two fruit gardens during the one year of this study. The citrus fruits garden was found to be best populated habitat as compared to other fruit garden. These sites were sampled by using pitfall traps; each month for five consecutive days from September 2010 to March 2011. As a result, 1 054 specimens were captured representing six families viz： lycosidae, thomosidae, gnaphosidae, saltisidae, araneidae and clubionidae. Lycosidae was more abundant, while clubionidae was less diverse during the study. Maximum population fluctuation among the spider specimens showed during the months from September and October, while the least abundance of spider specimens was reordered during June, November and December. Maximum taxonomic diversity was recorded from September to November, with the peak in September. It was concluded during these three months, when the citrus and guava gardens were attacked by the most of the pest insects. During the months of July and November diversity was moderate and mutually comparable, while in June and December, it was the least. This study contributed to the identification of spider diversity in the agro-ecosystem which could be used in the biological pest control.

With the development of Internet technology, methods, and tools of the development of information systems, especially in electronic commerce field, leads to make theoretical and practical studies for developing electronic commerce systems. Since Yemen is a developing country, we have to pay a great deal of attention to the great role that the Internet plays in the world of business. This thesis presents study of the state of development information systems in Yemen especially in E-Commerce information systems, also focusing on the methods and tools which were used in the developing information systems in Yemen, and the rate of using Object-Oriented Software Engineering in the universities and software companies of Yemen through developing information systems. The study showed that about 95% of information systems in Yemen were developed by using traditional software engineering, only about 5% of information systems were developed by using Object-Oriented software engineering. Since Yemeni government is moving towards E-Commerce & E-Government and based on the above results, this thesis also presents case study of developing electronic commerce information system of Online bookstore System (ObS) for sales the books through the Internet.On one hand , the Online bookstore System has been developed by using the Object-Oriented technology as software engineering methodology based on Coad & Yourdon method for Object-Oriented Analysis model which has five layers and Object-Oriented Design model which has four components, because the Coad & Yourdon method is easy to study and apply. The case study can be seen as 3-Tier Architecture E-Commerce System which has become popular today. On the other hand, every developer, programmer, and who interested in developing information systems especially in electronic commerce systems and software engineering can make use of such kind of this thesis.

Immunocytochemical identification of the different cell types in the pituitary gland of bagrus bayad was performed using antisera against mammalian (human and rat) and piscine hormones. The adenohypophysis was composed of rostral pars distalis (RPD), proximal pars distalis (PPD) and pars intermedia (PI). Prolactin and adrenocorticotrophic cells were located in the rostral pars distalis of the pituitary. Gonadotrophic and growth hormone cells were distributed in the proximal pars distalis, but gonadotrophic cells appear also at the border of the pars intermedia. Somatolactin cells, as well as alpha-melanotrophic cells were located in the pars intermedia of b. bayad pitui-tary. The prolactin (PRL) cells were distributed in the RPD stained with orange G and showed strong immunoreactivity with antiserum to chum salmon. The adrenocorticotrophic (ACTH) cells were lead hema-toxylin-positive (PbH+) and showed strong im- mu-noreactivity with anti-human ACTH;these cells bor-dered the neurohypophysis and grouped in islets be-tween PRL cells in the RPD. Growth hormone (GH) cells were densely distributed with the gonadotrophic (GTH) cells in the PPD. They were orange G positive and reacted with antiserum to chum salmon. GTH cells were located in the central area of the PPD and in the external border of the PI. These cells were Alcyan blue and PAS positive, and immunostained with anti-chum salmon GTH Iβ and anti-chum salmon GTH IIβ. In addition, antiserum to rat thyrotropin stimulating hormone β (TSHβ) reacted positively to the GTH cells. These results suggest that GTH I, GTH II and TSH are synthesized in the same cells in the pituitary of b. bayad. The PI was composed mainly of PbH+ cells and a PAS+ cell adjacent to the neurohypophysis. The PAS+ cells from the PI bound specifically to anti-chum somatolactin. Anti-alpha- melanin stimulating hormone (MSH) stained only the PbH+ (alpha-melanotrophic) cells of the PI.

小唐松草碱（ocoteine）1～10 mg/kg iv对麻醉、清醒的正常血压大鼠和肾性高血压大鼠均有迅速而持久的降压作用,脑室内注射给药也有明显的降压作用。切断双侧迷走神经合用阿托品,及用苯海拉明不影响 ocoteine的降压作用。在毁脊髓大鼠,ocoteinc 1～3mg/kg使甲氧明的量效曲线平行右移,而不影响b-HT920的量效曲线。结果提示ocoteine选择性阻断血管性平滑肌突触后α1受体,并可能具有中枢性降压作用;其降压作用不是通过迷走神经或释放组胺。

高取代度淀粉醋酸酯合成工艺优化及结构表征

以玉米淀粉为实验材料,在催化剂用量、醋酸与醋酸酐体积比、反应时间、反应温度4个单因素试验基础上,利用响应面试验设计法进行试验设计,获得取代度与各单因素的函数关系,并建立高取代度淀粉醋酸酯合成工艺模型。通过回归方程和响应曲面,得到淀粉醋酸酯最佳合成工艺为催化剂用量0.11mL、醋酸与醋酸酐体积比1:1.39、反应时间1.59h、反应温度87.61℃。验证实验结果显示,在此条件下淀粉醋酸酯取代度为2.95。傅里叶红外光谱分析表明,淀粉醋酸酯葡萄糖单元上的羟基逐渐发生酯化,而且随着取代度测定值升高,乙酰基含量增大。扫描电镜照片显示,淀粉醋酸酯表面变得更为粗糙,孔隙增多且呈蜂窝状,说明酯化反应不仅发生在淀粉颗粒表面,同时也发生在淀粉颗粒内部。

Predatory Efficacy of Cotton Inhabiting Spiders on bemisiatabaci, Amrascadevastans Thripstabaci and Helicoverpa armigera in Laboratory Conditions

Distinction of predator＇s diet and prey choice preference is a hot topic of current investigations. Spider being generalist predator and cosmopoliter in nature acts as biological control agent in many agro-ecosystems. In the current study, predatory efficacy of five spiders （Pardosa birmanica, Cyclosa insulana, Thomisus projectus, Plexippus paykulli and Lycosa terrestris） inhabiting the cotton fieldevaluated in the laboratory conditions maintained at （27＋2）℃ temperature, 65%-5% relative humidity and 12 ： 12 h of light and dark photoperiod. Four key cotton pests＇ viz. bemisiatabaci, Amrascaderastans Thripstabaci and Helicoverpa armigera were utilized in the choice and no-choice predatory studies. The findings of current investigation revealed that each predatory spider utilized at least one pest species. Predation rate was found higher in the no-choice predation because of unavailability of substitutes feeding source. The investigation also indicated each predatory spider killed more pests than consumed. The findings of this study support the predatory role of spiders in controlling the cotton major pests.

In the present study 100 cardiac patients were randomly selected from the cardiology ward, Allied Hospital Faisalabad, Pakistan. All the selected cases were analysed for different parameters like Hepatitis b surface Antigen (HbsAg), bilirubin, Alkaline phosphatase, serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase, and serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase. Out of total 16% patients were lying in the age of 21-30 year, 25% in the age of 31-40 year, 35% in the age of 41-50 year, 19% in the age of 51-60 years and 5% patients in the age of 61-70 years. No subject was found positive in age group 21-30 years patients. 35% patients have higher value of SGPT while, other 26% were with higher value of SGOT. Rest of the 32 and 24% have higher ALP and bilirubin levels, respectively. Assay profile revealed that ALP level was increased with increasing age, body mass index, Creactive protein, diabetes, smoking, sex, serum uric acid, lead, cadmium, hypercholesterolemia, lesion of liver and cardiovascular disease. The serum of the eight HbsAg positive cases were tested for the presence of HbV through PCR and no sample was found positive. At the end of the study, PCR amplified samples were run on 1.5% agarose gel to confirm the case.
