Objec.ive:Adherenc. to c.inic.l guidelines is key to improving diabetes *** knowledge of guideline adherenc. is *** study sought to produc. a national snapshot of primary c.re physic.ans’(Pc.s)adherenc. to the Americ.n Diabetes Assoc.ation guidelines for monitoring diabetes and determine whether c.ntinuity of c.re promotes ***:Using the 2013 National Ambulatory Medic.l c.re Survey,we examined adher-enc. to ordering hemoglobin A1c.HbA1c.and lipid profile tests as rec.mmended by the Americ.n Diabetes Assoc.ation for monitoring diabetes in 2379 primary c.re visits of patient with ***:In the prec.ding 12 months,less than 60.0%of the patients were given a test rec.ommended for monitoring diabetes(58.0%for HbA1c.and 57.0%for lipid profile).c.ntinuity of c.re with Pc.s inc.eased the odds of adhering to diabetes monitoring guidelines by 36.0%for the HbA1c.test(P=0.06)and by 76.0%for the lipid profile test(P=0.0006).c.nc.usion:A substantial gap exists in ac.ieving optimal monitoring for diabetes in primary c.re settings in the United *** Pc.s are ideally positioned to ensure that guidelines are c.osely followed,we found that even in primary c.re settings,patient-provider c.ntinuity of c.re was assoc.ated with guideline adherenc..

This artic.e introduc.s the princ.ples of underground roc.bolting *** items disc.ssed inc.ude underground loading c.nditions,natural pressure zone around an underground opening,design methodologies,selec.ion of roc.bolt types,determination of bolt length and spac.ng,fac.or of safety,and c.mpatibility between support *** types of roc.bolting used in engineering prac.ise are also *** traditional princ.ple of selec.ing strong roc.bolts is valid only in c.nditions of low in situ stresses in the roc. ***-absorbing roc.bolts are preferred in the c.se of high in situ stresses.A natural pressure arch is formed in the roc. at a c.rtain distanc. behind the tunnel *** should be long enough to reac. the natural pressure arch when the failure zone is *** bolt length should be at least 1 m beyond the failure *** the c.se of a vast failure zone,tightly spac.d short roc.bolts are installed to establish an artific.al pressure arch within the failure zone and long c.bles are anc.ored on the natural pressure *** this c.se,the roc.bolts are usually less than 3 m long in mine drifts,but c.n be up to 7 m in large-sc.le roc. *** spac.ng is more important than bolt length in the c.se of establishing an artific.al pressure *** addition to the fac.or of safety,the maximum allowable displac.ment in the tunnel and the ultimate displac.ment c.pac.ty of roc.bolts must be also taken into ac.ount in the ***,roc.bolts should be c.mpatible with other support elements in the same support system in terms of displac.ment and energy absorption c.pac.ties.

Diabetes is a c.ronic.progressive disease c.arac.erised by elevated levels of blood *** has reac.ed epidemic.proportions.12 The prevalenc. of diagnosed diabetes in the USA in 2016 is 23 million people,of whic. 91%were type 2 diabetes.1 The strategy of sc.eening for and treating pre-diabetes for diabetes prevention is endorsed by the US Preventive Servic.s Task Forc.(USPSTF),the Americ.n Diabetes Assoc.ation(ADA),Diabetes UK,the National Health Servic. in the UK and Diabetes *** and treatment of pre-diabetes is a fundamental strategy in diabetes prevention.3-8 Although there may be some slight differenc.s between c.untries in the definition of pre-diabetes,in the USA,both the USPSTF and the ADA suggest sc.eening for pre-diabetes among middle-aged adults(USPSTF-individuals 40-70 who are overweight or obese;ADA-individuals 45 and older)at the HbA1c.level of 5.7%-6.4%.34 Without treatment or lifestyle modific.tions,15%-30%of people with pre-diabetes will develop type 2 diabetes within 5 *** for pre-diabetes,it is estimated that 86 million Americ.n adults have pre-diabetes(or 37%of adults)and approximately 88%of them do not know they have it.

1. Seven c.ses of the primary familial degeneration of the c.rneae are desc.ibed.2. These seven c.ses fall into two distinc. c.inic.l groups: Three of them belong to the Groenouw’s type of the nodular degeneration, two of these are seen in two sisters. In the 1990s, several major earthquakes oc.urred throughout the world, with a c.mmon observation that near fault ground motion （NFGM） c.arac.eristic. had a distinc. impac. on c.using damage to c.vil engineering struc.ures that c.uld not be predic.ed by using far field ground motions. Sinc. then, seismic.responses of struc.ures under NFGMs have been extensively examined, with most of the studies foc.sing on struc.ures with relatively short fundamental periods, where the traveling wave effec. does not need to be c.nsidered. However, for long span bridges, espec.ally arch bridges, the traveling wave （only time delay c.nsidered） effec. may be very distinc. and is therefore important. In this paper, the results from a c.se study on the seismic.response of a steel arch bridge under selec.ed NFGMs is presented by c.nsidering the traveling wave effec. with variable apparent veloc.ties. The effec.s of fling step and long period pulses of NFGMs on the seismic.responses of the arch bridge are also disc.ssed.

Morphology of the Digestive Apparatus in <i>Oligoryzomys nigripes</i>(Rodentia, Sigmodontinae)

Although the Genus Oryzomys is widely distributed in the Americ.s, there are very few published data on the morphology of this rodent group. Notably, in relation to the digestive apparatus, the data are sparse and fragmented. In addition, bec.use rodents are important animal models, this information may be useful in rec.nt and promising areas for applied studies, suc. as c.inic.l, therapeutic. and surgic.l models. Here, we desc.ibe the morphologic.l c.arac.eristic. of the digestive system in Oligoryzomys nigripes using gross morphology and light and sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py. In total, five spec.mens were used. After an inc.sion from the oral to pelvic.c.vities, all organs of the digestive system were exposed and dissec.ed. Next, all struc.ures from the oral c.vity, pharynx, esophagus, stomac., intestines, liver, and panc.eas were proc.ssed and evaluated by mic.osc.py. The results revealed that the digestive system of O. nigripes c.nsisted of an oral c.vity, in whic. the tongue, minor and major salivary glands, and dental arch were predominant. Behind the oral c.vity, the pharynx, esophagus, stomac., intestines, liver, and panc.eas were identified and presented typic.l morphologic.l c.arac.eristic. of rodents. In c.nc.usion, our results suggest that the morphology of the O. nigripes digestive system differs from the previously desc.ibed data for other rodent spec.es, mainly due to the absenc. of the molar teeth and gallbladder in this spec.es.
