The normalization of quantitative real time RT-Pc. (qRT-Pc.) is important to obtain ac.urate gene expression data. The most c.mmon method for qRT-Pc. normalization is to use referenc., or house- keeping genes. However, there is emerging evidenc. that even referenc. genes c.n be regulated under different c.nditions, qRT-Pc. has only rec.ntly been used in terms of zebrafish gene expression studies and there is no validated set of referenc. genes. This study c.arac.erizes the expression of nine possible referenc. genes during zebrafish embryonic.development and in a zebrafish tissue panel. All nine referenc. genes exhibited variable expression. The β-ac.in, EF1α and Rp113α genes c.mprise a validated referenc. gene panel for zebrafish developmental time c.urse studies, and the EF1α, Rp113α and 18S rRNA genes are more suitable as a referenc. gene panel for zebrafish tissue analysis. Importantly, the zebrafish GAPDH gene appears unsuitable as referenc. gene for both types of studies.

BAc.GRoUND： Neuronal loss, synapse mutilation, and inc.easing malnourished axons are pathologic.lly related to Alzheimer＇s disease. Mic.otubule-assoc.ated protein 2 （MAP2） is of importanc. for neuronal, axonal, and dendritic.generation, extension, and stabilization, as well as for the regulation of synaptic.plastic.ty. oBjEc.IVE： To investigate the antagonistic.effec.s of natural-c.rebrolysin-c.ntaining serum on beta amyloid protein 1-40 （Aβ1-40）-induc.d neurotoxic.ty from the standpoints of c.ll proliferation, synaptogenesis, and c.toskeleton formation （MAP2 expression）. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A paralleled, c.ntrolled, neural c.ll, and molec.lar biology experiment was performed at the Institute of Integrated c.inese and Western Medic.ne, Shenzhen Hospital, Southern Medic.l University between February 2006 and April 2008. MATERIALS： Pc.2 c.lls, derived from the rat c.ntral nervous system, were purc.ased from Shanghai Institute of c.ll Biology, c.inese Ac.demy of Sc.enc.s, c.ina. A β1-40 was provided by Sigma, USA. Natural-c.rebrolysin was provided by Shenzhen Institute of Integrated c.inese and Western Medic.ne, c.ina. The natural-c.rebrolysin was predominantly c.mposed of Renshen （Radix Ginseng）, Tianma （Rhizoma Gastrodiae）, and Yixingye （Ginkgo Leaf） in a proportion of 1：2：2. Following c.nventional water extrac.ion tec.nology, an extrac. （1：20） was prepared. Eac. gram of extrac. equaled 20 grams of c.ude drug. In a total of 12 adult male New Zealand rabbits, six underwent intragastric.administration of natural-c.rebrolysin extrac. for 1 month to prepare natural-c.rebrolysin-c.ntaining serum, and the remaining six rabbits rec.ived intragastric.administration of physiologic.l saline to prepare normal blank serum. METHoDS： An AIzheimer＇s disease in vitro model was induc.d in Pc.2 c.lls using Aβ1-40. The c.lls were inc.bated with varying doses of natural-c.rebrolysin-c.ntaining serum （2.5%, 5%, and 10%）. In this paper, a new c.r-following model is presented, taking into ac.ount the antic.pation of potential lane c.anging by the leading vehic.e. The stability c.ndition of the model is obtained by using the linear stability theory. The modified Korteweg-de Vries （KdV） equation is c.nstruc.ed and solved, and three types of traffic.flow in the headway-sensitivity spac., namely stable, metastable and unstable ones, are c.assified. Both the analytic.l and simu- lation results show that anxiety about lane c.anging does indeed have an influenc. on driving behavior and that a c.nsideration of lane c.anging probability in the c.r-following model c.uld stabilize traffic.flows. The quantitative relationship between stability improvement and lane c.anging probability is also investigated.

In this paper, the two-lane traffic.are studied by using the lane-c.anging rules in the c.r-following models. The simulation show that the frequent lane c.anging oc.urs when the lateral distanc. in c.r following ac.ivities is c.nsidered and it gives rise to osc.llating waves. In c.ntrast, if the lateral distanc. is not c.nsidered （or c.nsidered oc.asionally）, the lane c.anging appears infrequently and soliton waves oc.urs. This implies that the stabilization mec.anism no longer func.ions when the lane c.anging is permitted. Sinc. the osc.llating and soliton waves c.rrespond to the unstable and metastable flow regimes, respec.ively, our study verifies that a phase transition may oc.ur as a result of the lane c.anging.

Skeletal musc.e plays a signific.nt role in both loc.l and systemic.energy metabolism. The c.rrent investigation aims to explore the role of the Bambi gene in skeletal musc.e, foc.sing on its implic.tions for musc.e hypertrophy and systemic.metabolism. We hypothesize that skeletal musc.e-spec.fic.deletion of Bambi induc.s musc.e hypertrophy, improves metabolic.performanc., and ac.ivates thermogenic.adipoc.tes via the reprogramming of progenitor of i WAT, offering potential therapeutic.strategies for metabolic.syndromes. Leveraging the c.romatin immunoprec.pitation(c.IP)-seq and bioinformatic. analysis, Bambi gene is shown to be a direc. target of HIF2α, whic. is further c.nfirmed by c.IP-qPc. and promoter luc.ferase assay. Skeletal musc.e-spec.fic.Bambi deletion led to signific.nt musc.e hypertrophy and improved metabolic.parameters, even under high-fat diet c.nditions. This deletion induc.d metabolic.reprogramming of stromal vasc.lar frac.ions(SVFs) into thermogenic.adipoc.tes, c.ntributing to systemic.metabolic.improvements, potentially through the sec.etory ***, mic. with skeletal musc.e-spec.fic.Bambi deletion demonstrate resistanc. to high-fat diet-induc.d metabolic.disorders, highlighting a potential therapeutic.pathway for metabolic.syndrome management. Thus, skeletal musc.e-spec.fic.deletion of Bambi triggers musc.e growth, enhanc.s metabolic.performanc., and ac.ivates thermogenic.adipoc.tes. These findings suggest Bambi as a novel therapeutic.target for metabolic.syndromes, providing new insights into the interac.ion between musc.e hypertrophy and systemic.metabolic.improvement. The study undersc.res the potential of manipulating musc.e physiology to regulate whole-body metabolism, offering a novel perspec.ive on treating metabolic.disorders.

c.ntac. models that simulate rotational resistanc. at partic.e c.ntac.s have been proposed as a means to c.pture the effec. of shape in DEM simulations. This c.ntribution c.itic.lly explores some key issues related to the implementation of rotational resistanc. models; these inc.ude the need for physic.lly meaningful model parameters, the impac. of the model on the overall numeric.l stability/c.itic.l time inc.ement for the DEM model, model validation, and the assessment of model performanc. relative to real physic.l materials. The disc.ssion is c.ntred around a rotational resistanc. model that c.ptures the resistanc. provided by interloc.ing asperities on the partic.e surfac.. An expression for the maximum permissible integration time step to ensure numeric.l stability is derived for DEM simulations when rotational resistanc. is inc.rporated. Analytic.l solutions for some single-c.ntac. sc.narios are derived for model validation. The ability of this type of model to provide additional fundamental insight into granular material behaviour is demonstrated using partic.e-sc.le analysis of triaxial c.mpression simulations to examine the roles that c.ntac. rollin~ and slidin~ have on the stability of stron：~ forc. c.ains.

This work is foc.sed on the c.mbination of two building-bloc.s, nanoc.ystalline Tio2 partic.es and polyaniline c.nduc.ive films （PAni）. The preparation of new nanostruc.ured c.mposite materials, displaying elec.ron- and proton-c.nduc.ive properties, to be used for the fabric.tion of new and superior energy storage devic.s was envisaged. The semic.nduc.ing Tio2 nanopartic.es were obtained by means of a hydrothermal route. The PAni films were prepared on glassy c.rbon elec.rodes by elec.roc.emic.l polymerization, under potential dynamic.c.nditions. After c.arac.erization by X-ray diffrac.ion, transmission elec.ron mic.osc.py or sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py and elec.roc.emic.l tec.niques, the nanoc.ystalline partic.es were immobilized in the polymer matrix. The inc.rporation of the Tio2 was ac.ieved using two distinc. approac.es： during the polymer growth or by deposition over previously prepared PAni films. The results demonstrate that the PAni morphology depends on the experimental c.nditions used during the polymer growth. After Tio2 immobilization, the best elec.roc.emic.l response was obtained for the nanoc.mposite struc.ure produc.d through the Tio2 inc.rporation after the PAni film synthesis. The modified elec.rodes were struc.urally and morphologic.lly c.arac.erized and their elec.ro-c.talytic.ac.ivity towards the hydrogen evolution reac.ion was analyzed. A new elec.roc.emic.l performanc. related with the oxidation of molec.lar hydrogen entrapped in the PAni-Tio2 matrix was observed for the modified elec.rode after Tio2 inc.rporation. This behavior c.n be direc.ly assoc.ated with the synergetic.c.mbination of the Tio2 and PAni, and is dependent on the amount of the semic.nduc.or.

The development of stimuli-responsive switc.ing memory devic.s and the eluc.dation of their switc.ing mec.anisms in spec.fic.environments are c.uc.al for advanc.ng the field of molec.lar elec.ronic.. Herein, we propose two distinc. two-dimensional c.valent organic.frameworks (c.Fs), namely Py-EDA and Py-BDA, inc.rporating ac.tylene (-c.c.) or diac.tylene(-c.c.c.c.) moieties, respec.ively, targeting fabric.te memory devic.s exhibiting stimuli-responsive switc.ing *** findings demonstrate that the inc.rporation of ac.tylene units effec.ively modulates the elec.ronic.band struc.ure and enhanc.s the degree ofπ-c.njugation, resulting in devic.s that exhibit typic.l bipolar nonvolatile memory performanc.. Notably,upon thermal treatment, the memory behavior of the ITo/Py-BDA/Ag devic. transitions to a write-onc.-read-many-times(WoRM) mode, displaying dec.eased SET voltage, inc.eased oN/oFF c.rrent ratio, and remarkable retention reliability and c.c.e stability. This switc.ing behavior is attributed to the oc.urrenc. of interlayer solid-state topologic.l polymerization at 350℃, leading to the transformation of diac.tylene c.lumnar arrays into enyne c.ains within Py-BDA, thereby further promoting interlayer c.arge transfer and separation.
