Recombinant human vascular endostatin injection to synchronize craniospinal radiotherapy for the treatment of recurrent medulloblastoma in children:A retrospective clinical study

Objective Medulloblastoma(MB)is the most common primary central nervous system malignancy in ***,there is no standard treatment for recurrent *** purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical value and toxicity of recombinant human endostatin injection(Endostar~?)combined with craniospinal radiotherapy for the treatment of recurrent MB in *** This study retrospectively analyzed 13 patients with recurrent MB aged 5–18 ***?7.5 mg/m~2/d was synchronized during craniospinal radiotherapy for 7 children with a portable micro uniform speed infusion ***~?was applied 3 days prior to the initiation of *** drug was in continuous use for 7 ***,the withdrawal of the drug took place over 7 *** represented a *** radiotherapy,the application was repeated until the end of radiotherapy(experimental group).In the other 6 cases,only craniospinal radiotherapy was used(control group).Results The complete remission rate was 71.4%in the experimental group and 16.7%in the control *** median progression-free survival(PFS)was 14 months(95%CI:0.0–29.60)and 19 months(95%CI:0.0–39.53)in the experimental and control groups,*** median overall survival(OS)was 19 months(95%CI:0.0–38.20)and 23 months(95%CI:2.47–43.53)in the experimental and control groups,*** most common adverse events included grade 1 thrombocytopenia(7.7%),grade 3 neutropenia(38.5%),and grade 1 anemia(30.8%).Conclusion Endostar~?synchronizing craniospinal radiotherapy significantly improved the complete response rate of children with recurrent *** did not increase the side effects of radiation ***,it did not improve the PFS or OS.

Study of copper-cysteamine based X-ray induced photodynamic therapy and its effects on cancer cell proliferation and migration in a clinical mimic setting

Copper-cysteamine as a new generation of sensitizers can be activated by light,X-rays,microwaves,or ultrasound to produce reactive oxygen species.X-ray induced photodynamic therapy(X-PDT)has been studied extensively;however,most of the studies reported so far were conducted in the laboratory,which is not conducive to the clinical translation *** this contribution,for the first time,we investigated the treatment efficiency of copper-cysteamine(Cu-Cy)based X-PDT by mimicking the clinical conditions with a clinical linear accelerator and building deep-seated tumor models to study not only the effectiveness but also its effects on the cell migration and proliferation in the level of the cell,tissue,and *** results showed that,without X-ray irradiation,Cu-Cy nanoparticles(NPs)had a low toxicity in HepG2,SK-HEP-1,Li-7,and 4T1 cells at a concentration below 100 mg/***,for the first time,it was observed that Cu-Cy mediated X-PDT can inhibit the proliferation and migration of these cell lines in a dose-dependent *** markers of migration and cell proliferation,proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)and E-cadherin,from tumor tissue in the X-PDT group were remarkably different from that of the control ***,the MRI assessment showed that the Cu-Cy based X-PDT inhibited the growth of deeply located tumors in mice and rabbits(p<0.05)without any obvious toxicities in ***,these new findings demonstrate that Cu-Cy NPs have a safe and promising clinical application prospect in X-PDT to improve the efficiency of radiotherapy(RT)for deep-seated tumors and effectively inhibit tumor cell proliferation and migration.

Study of the synthesis,antiviral bioactivity and interaction mechanisms of novel chalcone derivatives that contain the 1,1-dichloropropene moiety

A series of novel chalcone derivatives that contain the 1,1-dichloropropene moiety was designed and synthesized. Bioactivity assays showed that most of the target compounds exhibited moderate to good antiviral activity against tobacco mosaic virus（TMV） at 500 mg/m L. Among the target compounds,compound 7h showed the highest in vivo inactivation activity against TMV with the EC50 and EC90value of 45.6 and 327.5 mg/m L, respectively, which was similar to that of Ningnanmycin（46.9 and 329.4 mg/m L）and superior to that of Ribavirin（145.1 and 793.1 mg/m L）. Meanwhile, the microscale thermophoresis and fluorescence spectroscopy experiments showed that the compound 7h had a strong interaction with the tobacco mosaic virus coat protein.

Early-Holocene Paleo-Tropical Cyclone Activity Inferred from a Sedimentary Sequence in South Yellow Sea,East Asia

Although tropical cyclones play a critical role in global climate changes,their long-term variations in the past are not well *** this article,a sediment core from the South Yellow Sea was studied in order to reveal the influence of tropical cyclones on depositional *** the results of radiocarbon dating and sediment grain-size analysis,we show that the studied sequence was deposited during the Holocene and the sedimentary dynamics were stable and at a relatively low level,with a median grain-size range of 5.3-8.7μ*** is found that coarse particles were likely transported by highly dynamic depositional *** on the findings,a record of paleo-tropical cyclones was derived for the Early Holocene,and several intervals with a reduced influence of tropical cyclones were *** addition,it reveals a good agreement between the grain-size results and the changes in solar activity,monsoonal intensity,and the El Ni?o-Southern ***,it can be concluded that the influence of tropical cyclones on the sedimentary evolution of the muddy zone of the South Yellow Sea was substantial during the Early Holocene on centennial timescales,and that solar maxima may control the intensity of tropical cyclones via strengthening the walker circulation over the tropical Pacific.

Effects of Branched-chain Amino Acids on Nutritional Metabolism and Pharmacoeconomics in Patients with Severe Abdominal Trauma

Objective:To observe the influences of branched-chain amino acids(BCAAs)on nutrition metabolism and prognosis of patients with severe abdominal trauma;at the same time,to analyze and evaluate the pharmacoeconomics of ***:A total of 75 severe abdominal trauma patients were recruited from June 2016 to December 2017 and randomly divided into control group and observation *** surgery and basic treatment,parenteral nutrition support therapy with iso-nitrogen and iso-calorie of both groups was ***,an equivalent of 8.5%(18AA-Ⅱ)and 10%(20AA)compound AA injection was administrated to the control and observation groups,*** nitrogen balance,serum protein level and plasma amino spectrum of the patients were observed before and after ***,the hospital stay,survival rate,complications,adverse reactions and hospitalization costs were also ***:After a 7-day course treatment,the nitrogen balance level of the two groups was significantly improved,but no significant difference was found between *** addition,the serum protein level and plasma amino spectrum of the two groups was generally improved when compared to before *** with the control group,the level of albumin and transferrin in the observation group was improved significantly after treatment,while no difference in plasma amino spectrum was found between the two ***,the cost analysis showed remarkably reduced hospitalization costs in the observation ***:To a certain degree,BCAAs could improve the nutritional metabolism and prognosis of patients with severe abdominal trauma,and have good cost-effectiveness.

Two large-pore metal-doped aluminophosphates, Mn4Al5（PO4 ）12[N（ C2H4NH3）3]3 [ N（C2H4NH3）2·（C2H4NH2）]（NH4）2·14H=O（Mn4-NJU） and Co4Al5（PO4）12[N（C2H,NH3）3][N（C2H4NH3）2（C2H4NH2）]3· （ NH4 ）4· 13H2O （ Co4-NJU） , which have the same open framework structures, were hydrothermally synthesized. The structures of these compounds consist of TO4 tetrahedra, which are linked together by corner-sharing to form an open framework with unique intersecting twelve-membered ring channels in three dimensions. The compounds crystallize in cubic space group I（-4）3m with α= 1. 6795（2） nm and V=4. 7374（9） nm^3 for Mn4-NJU, and a=1. 67372（19） nm and V = 4. 6887 （9） nm^3 for Co4-NJU, respectively. Single crystal structure analyses show that the protruding O atoms of the frameworks of the compounds are linked to protonated 4-（ 2-aminoethyl ）diethylenetriamine （TREN, C6H18N4 ） ions in the windows by means of hydrogen-bonding under the hydrothermal condition. It is also found that the components inside the super cages of the compounds are changeable, and the metal ions M^2＋（M = Mn, Co） and Al^3＋ disorderedly occupy the same crystallographic positions.

Petrogenesis of Aoyougou high-silica adakite in the North Qilian orogen,NW China:Evidence for decompression melting of oceanic slab

A trondhjemitic body occurs in the Aoyougou area,the western part of the North Qilian *** is geochemically characterized by high SiO 2,Na 2 O (high Na/K),elevated Sr/Y and (La/Yb) N,positive Sr anomaly,relatively enriched large ion lithophile elements (LILEs) and light rare earth elements (LREEs),and depleted Nb,Ta,Ti,resembling the high-silica *** U-Pb SHRIMP dating yields a weighted mean age of 438±3 *** age is significantly younger than eclogitization ages of 460-490 Ma in the North Qilian orogen,suggesting that formation of the adakite postdates the subduction of oceanic crust in association with closure of the ancient Qilian ***-rock Sr and Nd isotopic analyses give initial ratios of I Sr =0.7044 0.7047 and Nd (t)=3.0 4.1,indicating that they are derived from partial melting of the juvenile oceanic *** view of the tectonic evolution of the North Qilian orogen,the high-silica adakite was probably derived from decompression melting of the exhumed eclogite at the depth of ～60 km.

Characterization and Phylogenetic Implications of the Complete Mitogenomes of Two Species in the Genus Zhangixalus(Anura:Rhacophoridae)

Mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)in frogs are essential for reconstructing the phylogenetic relationships and shedding light on the molecular evolution in these ***,there are only seven complete Rhacophoridae genomes that have been reported to *** this paper,two complete mitogenomes of the Chinese whipping frog(Zhangixalus chenfui)and Emei tree frog(***)were described,each of which was 20520 and 19782 bp in size,and had A+T contents of 64.26%and 63.83%.The two mitogenomes each included two non-coding control region(D-loop,CR),two ribosomal RNA genes(rRNAs),13 protein-coding genes(PCGs),and 22 transfer RNA genes(tRNAs),and it was found that the mitogenome of *** also includes three tandem tRNAMet gene sequences.A typical clover-leaf structure was found for all tRNAs except for tRNASer1(AGN),which showed a reduced DHU *** putative D-loop region contains multiple types of tandem repeats *** of these two mitogenomes showed similar pattern of gene rearrangement(tRNA-Ser-ND6-tRNA-Glu-CytbCR1-ND5-CR2-tRNA-Thr-tRNA-Leu-tRNA-Pro).Additionally,three consecutive tRNAMet genes were found for the first time in ***,a species in the Rhacophoridae *** all phylogenetic analyses,which were based on 13 protein-coding genes from 91 Ranoidea mitogenomes,the same phylogenetic trees were observed using either maximum likelihood or Bayesian *** results suggest that the phylogenetic hypotheses for the Ranoidea(including Rhacophoridae,Mantellidae,Ranidae and Dicroglossidae)derived from these mitogenomic data could provide substantiation for the relationships of(Dicroglossidae(Ranidae,(Mantellidae,Rhacophoridae))),and support the presence of a monophyletic group in four ***,*** and *** were found to cluster on the same branch,indicating that they were more closely related as a *** group may in turn form sister groups with *** and ***,*** is located on the ba
