In this work,experiments and comprehensive insights into the proposed covering liquid method to intensify self-preservation effect for methane(CH_(4))storage are *** CH_(4)hydrate decomposition percentage was 17.6%with the pressure of 0.61 MPa after 12 h at 266.0 K without a covering liquid,which can be reduced to 12.4%,13.8%,13.0%,and 8.3%with the pressure of 0.26 MPa,0.33 MPa,0.51 MPa,and 0.37 MPa by covering with tetrahydrofuran(THF),cyclopentane(CP),cyclohexane,and n-tetradecane,*** the temperature for CH_(4)hydrate decompositionwas 274.2 K,covering with THF,CP,cyclohexane,and n-tetradecane failed to inhibit CH_(4)hydrate *** results suggested that the covering liquid may form a new solid layer(a hydrate layer or other solidified layer)around the CH_(4)hydrate,which inhibit CH_(4)transfer below the freezing point of ***,the new solid layer cannot resist the fast transfer of CH_(4)from decomposed CH_(4)hydrate above the freezing point of *** same phenomenon was also observed in a sodium dodecyl sulfonate(SDS)-dry solution CH_(4)hydrate formation ***,the covering method can only intensify the self-preservation effect below the freezing point of water,but cannot generate a self-preservation effect.

Low temperature is the most common abiotic stress factors during the eggplant cultivation in solar *** plays important roles in plant resistance to low ***,the role of melatonin in regulating chilling tolerance and extending the preharvest shelf life of eggplant fruits is still *** this study,we investigated the effects of exogenous melatonin on eggplant plants and fruits in response to low *** simulated low-temperature conditions,exogenous melatonin significantly relieved the chilling symptoms of seedlings by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels and relative leakage *** reductions were caused by higher superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities and increased endogenous polyamine and melatonin levels compared with those in untreated ***,the expression levels of SOD,CAT1/2,and polyamine synthesis genes (ADC and ODC) were also increased by 100μmol·L~(-1)melatonin,as well as those of genes involved in melatonin synthesis (TDC,T5H,SNAT,ASMT,and COMT) and cold regulation (COR1,CBFa/b,and ZAT2/6/12).To further investigate the effects of melatonin on eggplant leaves and fruits under natural low temperature conditions,100μmol·L~(-1)melatonin was sprayed on the functional leaves at three days before commodity *** significantly alleviated chilling injury in the leaves and pericarp and extended the preharvest shelf life of the fruit by increasing the expression of COR1,CBF,ZAT2/6/12,and API5 and decreasing the expression of senescence-related genes (NCED1/2 and SAG12).Therefore,100μmol·L~(-1)melatonin improved chilling tolerance and fruit shelf life by upregulating ZAT2/6/12 to affect ROS-and senescence-related processes,which provides a reference for alleviating cold stress and extending the preharvest fruit shelf life in eggplant.

The visible-light-induced selective oxidation of ubiquitous C–H bonds into valuable C=O bonds under aerobic conditions is one of the most attractive approaches for the construction of carbonyl-containing *** this work,two transition metal-containing Nb/W mixed-addendum POMs dimers with the formula of K_(2)Na_(2)H_(5)[(Fe(H_(2)O)_(4))_(3)(P_(2)W_(15)Nb_(3)O_(62))_(2)]·24H_(2)O(POM[Fe])and K_(2)Na_(3)H_(4)[(Cr(H_(2)O)_(4))_(3)(P_(2)W_(15)Nb_(3)O_(62))_(2)]·32H_(2)O(POM[Cr])have been synthesized and characterized by various analytical and spectral ***[Fe]was proved to be an efficient photocatalyst for benzylic C–H oxidation under visible light and using oxygen as an oxidant to produce the corresponding carbonyl complex in good yields.A plausible mechanism involving superoxide radical was proposed for the catalytic ***[Fe]showed good reusability in the recycling *** spectroscopy and XRD analysis indicate that POM[Fe]can retain its integrity after catalysis.

Dear editor,The micro-Doppler modulation caused by the rotors on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can be employed to recognize the UAV. Improvement of the treatment for Glioblastoma multiforme(GBM)especially the development of in situ controllable drug release is still a major *** this study,we developed waterborne biodegradable polyurethane(WBPU)scaffolds incorporated with redox-sensitive and RGD-decorated paclitaxel(PTX)polymer-drug conjugates(PDCs)for targeted GBM therapy in *** drug scaffolds could be implanted at residual GBM site ***-targeting PTX-PDCs were obtained through step-by-step conjugation of disulfide linked PTX,poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG),and arginine-glycine-aspartic acid(RGD).The RGD-modified PTX-PDCs were spherical nanoparticles(NPs)that would be released from scaffolds and identified GBM cells *** redox-sensitive PTX-PDCs would be decomposed and release PTX inside GBM cells under the circumstances of glutathione(GSH).The release profiles of PTX from the scaffolds with/without GSH were *** vitro cytotoxicity assay revealed that the dual-targeting PTX-PDCs from scaffolds could specifically kill GBM cells and protect normal cells,suggesting that dual-targeting PTX-PDC-loaded scaffolds may have the potential to repair tumor-induced brain *** vivo anti-recurrence assay indicated that the PTX-PDC-scaffolds could deliver PTX-PDCs to the GBM cells followed by inhibiting tumor growth and inducing *** general,the PTX prodrug-loaded devices exhibited significant anti-GBM effects and normal tissue protection simultaneously,indicating that the WBPU scaffolds incorporated with dual-targeting PTX-PDCs may be a promising strategy for local therapy of GBM.

Porous graphene(PG) has potential applications in numerous fields because of the existence of nanopores in the plane. In this study, porous graphene decorated silica microspheres(Sil-PG) were successfully fabricated by assembling PG onto the silica particles surface in deep eutectic solvents(DESs).Experimental results demonstrate that this new stationary phase can facilitate the separation of six sulfonamides compounds in hydrophilic chromatographic conditions. The successful synthesis of the SilPG stationary phase provides a basis for the application of porous graphene-modified materials as the stationary phase for liquid chromatography, and offers the possibility to broaden the application of PG in the field of chromatography.

BACKGROUND：5-1ipoxygenase protein （ALOX5AP） has been recognized as a susceptibility gene for stroke and coronary artery diseases. The present study was to explore the role of this gene in the eastern Chinese patients with ischemic ***： Using a case-control design, we studied 658 patients with ischemic stroke and 704 unrelated population-based controls who were age- and sex-matched. The 658 patients were classified by the Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment （TOAST）. Two single-nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） covering ALOX5AP were genotyped. RESULTS： The genotype frequencies of TG of the SNPs rs17222919 located in the promoter of the ALOX5AP gene were significantly higher in patients with ischemic stroke than in controls （OR＊=1.34, 95%C1＊=1.02-1.75）, especially in patients with ischemic stroke caused by small-artery occlusion （SAO）（OR＊=1.40, 95%C1＊=1.02-1.93）. Meanwhile, the genotype frequencies of TG and TG/ GG were higher in female patients than in the controls. After specification, the genotype frequencies of TG and TG/GG were higher in the patients than in controls with hypertension. The genotype frequencies of AG and AG/GG of the SNPs rs9579646 located in the intron of the ALOX5AP gene were higher in the controls than in the patients. After specification, the genotype frequencies of TG were higher in the controls than patients without hypertension. CONCLUSIONS： The present study suggests that sequence variants in the ALOX5AP gene are significantly associated with ischemic stroke.

Beam halo-chaos is essentially a complex spatiotemporal chaotic motion in a periodic-focusing channel of a highpower linear proton accelerator. The controllability condition for beam halo-chaos is analysed qualitatively. A special nonlinear control method, i.e. the wavelet-based function feedback, is proposed for controlling beam halochaos. Particle-in-cell simulations are used to explore the nature of halo-chaos formation, which has shown that the beam hMo-chaos is suppressed effectively after using nonlinear control for the proton beam with an initial full Gaussian distribution. The halo intensity factor Hav is reduced from 14%o to zero, and the other statistical physical quantities of beam halo-chaos are more than doubly reduced. The potential applications of such nonlinear control in experiments are briefly pointed out.
