The severe cardiotoxicity incurred due to doxorubicin limits the use of their therapeutic *** current study aims to investigate the cardioprotective effect of concomitant administration of flax lignan concentrate(FLC)and omega-3-fatty acid(ω-3-FA)on myocardial damage in doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity in Wistar *** was induced by intraperitoneal injection of doxorubicin(4 mg/kg)on day 7th,14th,21st and 28th day in normal *** administration of FLC(500 mg/kg)andω-3-FA(1 mL/kg)lowered TNF-αlevel,normalized ST,QT and mean arterial blood pressure,elevation in endogenous enzymes levels such as glutathione and lowering in malondialdehyde,super oxide dismutase followed by normalized lipid profile and reduced the mortality *** treatment had antiapoptotic potential at cellular level also histopathology of heart tissue(light and electron microscopical).Thus concomitant action of FLC andω-3-FA may be antioxidant,antihyperlipidemic,anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic actions seem to the probable mechanisms in doxorubicin induced *** can be concluded that FLC andω-3-FA both have distinct mechanism for cardioprotection and hence the additive effect was observed in the present study due to concomitant administration of FLC andω-3-FA.©2013 Beijing Academy of Food *** and hosting by Elsevier *** rights reserved.

Objective:To identify the larvicidal activities of silver nano particles synthesised with Rhizophora mucronata（***） leaf extract against the larvae of Aedes aegypti（***） and Culex quinquefasciatus（***）.Methods:In vitro larvicidal activities such as LC50 and LC90 were assessed for the *** and *** larval ***, characterisation such as Uv,XRD,FTIR and AFM analysis were carried out for the synthesised silver nano ***:The LC50 value of the synthesised silver nano particle was identified as 0.585 and 0.891 mgg/L for *** and *** larvae respectively. Further,the LG90 values are also identified as 2.615 and 6.291 mg/L for *** and Cx. quinquefasciatus species *** synthesised silver nanoparticles have maximum absorption at 420 nm with the average size of 60-95 *** XRD data showed 20 intense values with various degrees such as 37.10°,47.66°,63.97°and 70.01°.The FTIR data showed prominent peaks in（3 426.89,2 925.49,2 869.56,2 346.95,1 631.49,1 031.73,669.18 and 455.12） different ***:The biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles with leaf aqueous extract of R. mucronata provides potential source for the larvicidal activity against mosquito borne diseases.

In the present work,series of Zn ion-doped Ni_(1-x)Zn_(x)Fe_(2)O_(4)(0:0≤x≤0.5)ceramics were prepared by the double sintered solidstate reaction route to find out the influence of Zn2t ions on the crystal structure,lattice structure and dielectric behavior of parent NiFe_(2)O_(4).X-ray diffraction(XRD)study favors that all the prepared compounds belong to the cubic spinel *** parameters found to have increasing value with increased Zn^(2+)ion *** Raman scattering measurement discerns optical-active modes with blue shift as the doping *** dielectric constant(ε′)and dielectric tangent loss(tanδ)decrease with an increase in frequency and at higher frequency,both become *** parameters observe nonlinear behavior with increasing Zn^(2+)ion *** temperature dielectric constant of 10%Zn ion-doped NiFe_(2)O_(4)[Ni_(0.9)Zn_(0.1)Fe_(2)O_(4)]is much higher as compared to other prepared *** room temperature ac conductivity is found to increase with increase in frequency and temperature-dependent ac conductivity increases with increase in temperature.

We propose an active learning scheme for automatically sampling a minimum number of uncorrelated configurations for fitting the Gaussian Approximation Potential(GAP).Our active learning scheme consists of an unsupervised machine learning(ML)scheme coupled with a Bayesian optimization technique that evaluates the GAP *** apply this scheme to a Hafnium dioxide(HfO2)dataset generated from a“melt-quench”ab initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)*** results show that the active learning scheme,with no prior knowledge of the dataset,is able to extract a configuration that reaches the required energy fit ***,molecular dynamics(MD)simulations performed using this active learned GAP model on 6144 atom systems of amorphous and liquid state elucidate the structural properties of HfO2 with near ab initio precision and quench rates(i.e.,1.0 K/ps)not accessible via *** melt and amorphous X-ray structural factors generated from our simulation are in good agreement with *** addition,the calculated diffusion constants are in good agreement with previous ab initio studies.

Chemical reactions in homogenous systems are generally associated with positive-order kinetics;that is,the reaction rate increases with the increased concentration of *** this work,we report a coordination reaction of Cu^(2+)ions,cyanuric acid(CA),and pyridine in aqueous solution which shows negative-order kinetics with respect to the concentration of *** the pyridine concentration increases,the complexation of CA with pyridine overwhelms its dissociation in water,resulting in the redistribution of CA;that is,CA is sealed in the pyridine phase by forming an unreactive hydrogenbonded *** a result,the number of accessible anionic CA for crystallization in water decreases,and thus the crystallization slows down and almost ***,the crystallization yields two types of crystals with similar structures but disparate colors(red and blue),and the origin is investigated by the ligand field analysis.

In this paper, charge-plasma-based tunnel FET is proposed by employing dual material gate with hetero gate dielectric technique and it is named hetero-dielectric dual material gate doping-less TFET（HD_DMG_DLTFET）. It is compared with conventional doping-less TFET（DLTFET） and dual material gate doping-less TFET（DMG_DLTFET） on the basis of analog and RF performance. The HD_DMG_DLTFET provides better ON state current（I_（ON） =94 μA/ μm）, I_（ON）/I_（OFF）（≈1.36×10^（13））, point（≈3 mv/dec） and average subthreshold slope（Av-SSD40.40 mv/dec）. The proposed device offers low total gate capacitance（C_（gg）/ along with higher drive current. However, with a better transconductance（g_m） and cut-off frequency（f_T）, the HD_DMG_DLTFET can be a good candidate for RF circuitry. The early voltage（v_（EA）/ and output conductance（gd/ are also moderate for the proposed device with comparison to other devices and therefore can be a candidate for analog *** all these simulation results and their study, it is observed that HD_DMG_DLTFET has improved analog/RF performance compared to DLTFET and DMG_DLTFET.

The major goal of this paper is to isolate tumor region from nontumor regions and the estimation of tumor *** segmentation is not an easy task due to the varying size,shape and location of the *** segmentation,volume estimation is necessary in order to accurately estimate the tumor *** exactly estimating the volume of abnormal tissue,physicians can do excellent prognosis,clinical planning and dosage *** paper describes a new Euclidean Similarity factor(ESF)based active contour model with deep learning for segmenting the tumor region into complete,core and enhanced tumor ***,the ESF considers the spatial distances and intensity differences of the region automatically to detect the tumor *** preserves the image details but removes the noisy ***,the 3D Convolutional Neural Network(3D CNN)segments the tumor by automatically extracting spatiotemporal ***,the extended shoelace method estimates the volume of the tumor accurately for n-sided *** simulation result achieves a high accuracy of 92%and Jaccard index of 0.912 and computes the tumor volume with effective performance than existing approaches.

AIM:The significance of hepatitis C virus (HCv) serum titers has been examined in several clinical situations. There is much evidence that patients with a lower viral load have better response rates to anti-viral therapy compared to those with higher ***,a direct association has been observed between serum titers of HCv and transmission rates of the *** aim of the present study was to determine if there was any correlation between HCv viral load and the severity of liver disease. METHODS:Fifty patients with HCv infection were included in the *** comprised of 34 subjects with a history of alcohol use and 16 *** serum HCv RNA assay was carried out using the branched DNA (bDNA) *** regression analysis was performed between serum viral titers and liver *** addition,for the purpose of comparison,the subjects were divided into two groups:those with low viral liters (≤50 genome mEq/mL) and high titers (>50 mEq/mL). RESULTS:All subjects were men,with a mean±SD age of 47±7.8 *** mean HCv RNA level in the blood was 76.3×10~5±109.1 genome equivalents/*** was no correlation between HCv RNA levels and age of the patients (r=0.181),and the history or amount (g/d) of alcohol consumption (r=0.07).Furthermore,no correlation was observed between serum HCv RNA levels and the severity of liver disease as judged by the values of serum albumin (r=0.175),bilirubin (r=0.217),ALT (r=0.06) and AST (r=0.004) ***,no significant difference was observed between patients with low viral titers and high liters with respect to any of the parameters. CONCLUSION:Our results indicate that the severity of liver disease is independent of serum levels of hepatitis C *** findings are important since they have a direct impact on the current debate regarding the role of direct cytopathic effect of hepatitis C virus versus immune-mediated injury in the pathogenesis of HCv-related liver damage.

BACKGROUND Acute gastrointestinal(GI)graft-vs-host disease(aGvHD)is the most complication of hematopoietic stem cell transplant(HSCT)in patients with hematologic *** data exists on endoscopic evaluation of GvHD in post-HSCT patients with differing GI ***,the diagnostic value of gross endoscopic findings as well as the safety of endoscopy in this commonly thrombocytopenic and neutropenic patient population remains *** To understand the diagnostic value of symptoms and gross endoscopic findings as well as safety of endoscopy in aGvHD *** We analyzed 195 endoscopies performed at City of Hope in patients who underwent allogeneic HSCT less than 100 d prior for hematologic malignancy and were subsequently evaluated for aGvHD via *** yield,sensitivity,and specificity of diagnosing aGvHD were calculated for upper and lower endoscopy,various GI tract locations,and presenting *** Combined esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD)and flexible sigmoidoscopy(FS)demonstrated a greater diagnostic yield for aGvHD(83.1%)compared to EGD(66.7%)or FS(77.2%)alone with any presenting *** upper and lower GI tract demonstrated similar yields regardless of whether patients presented with diarrhea(95.7%vs 99.1%)or nausea/vomiting(97.5%vs 96.8%).Normalappearing mucosa was generally as specific(91.3%)as abnormal mucosa(58.7%-97.8%)for the presence of *** events such as bleeding(1.0%),infection(1.0%),and perforation(0.5%)only occurred in a small proportion of patients,with no significant differences in those with underlying thrombocytopenia(P=1.000)and neutropenia(P=0.425).CONCLUSION Combined EGD and FS with biopsies of normal and inflamed mucosa demonstrated the greatest diagnostic yield regardless of presenting symptom and appears to be safe in this population of patients.
