In this paper,Ni_(3)S_(2)nanosheet(NS)was generated by chemical etching with sodium sulfide directly on the nickel foam(NF),which was induced by dielectric barrier discharge plasma in *** with other chemical etching methods of nickel-based nanomaterials,this method was not only rapid(40 min)and mild(at room temperature and atmospheric pressure),but also showed consistent stability and good *** Ni_(3)S_(2)NS/NF electrode showed excellent performance in the electrochemical detection of formaldehyde under alkaline *** had a good linear relationship with the concentration of formaldehyde in the range of 0.002-5.45 mmol/l(r^(2)=0.9957)and the limit of detection(lOD)was 1.23μmol/l(S/N=3).The sensitivity was 1286.9μA l mmol^(–1)cm^(–2),and the response time was about 5 *** plasma-induced chemical etching strategy provides a simple and stable electrode preparation method,which has great application prospects in nonenzymatic electrochemical sensors.

SCT （social cognitive theory） provides a useful framework to explain why people acquire and maintain PA （physical activity） behaviors among adolescents. This study aimed to adapt modernized Australian social cognitive scales of PA to the Portuguese language and evaluate their factorial and convergent validity and reliability. The adapted scales were tested in an adolescent sample from low-income communities in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil （n = 173; 56.1% male）. Confirmatory factor analysis was employed to examine model-fit for each scale. The scales were assessed against self-report measures of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity for convergent validity. reliability properties （ICC （lntra class confidence） and Cronbach＇s Alpha） were also determined. Each social cognitive scale represented a statistically sound measure： fit indices indicated each model to be adequate-to-exact fit to the data; significant correlations between most scales and either light, moderate or vigorous intensity PA behavior demonstrated good convergent validity; internal consistency was acceptable-to-good （α = 0.51-0.80）; rank order repeatability was acceptable-to-strong （ICC = 0.62-0.92）. Adapted social cognitive scales for physical activity for use among adolescents in the Brazilian context showed acceptable reliability and validity properties and may be useful to identify potential social cognitive correlates of PA, mediators of PA behavior change and the testing of theoretical models of SCT.

In order to further improve the impact of the continuously evolving neurointerventional techniques, the interventional neuroradiologist needs to have at his disposal more powerful techniques to image the central nervous system. With the recent development of diagnostics techniques that are computed tomography and magnetic resonance based we are now able to assess not just morphology, but also physiology, physiopathology and function. This review discusses the place of diagnostic techniques in the evaluation that the interventional neuroradiologist hast to make when confronted with patients. We provide an overview of current techniques for the brain and spine.

Natural killer(NK)cell-mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity(ADCC)through CD16 plays a critical role in antihuman immunodeficiency virus(HIV)responses.1–3 CD300a is a surface receptor highly expressed on NK cells that has the capacity to inhibit NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity in healthy donors.4 The CD300a molecule has been related to several viral infections and is able to diminish the NK cell killing of pseudorabies-infected cells through interactions with its ligands phosphatidylserine and phosphatidylethanolamine.5 In addition,CD300a expression on B and CD4+T lymphocytes is altered during HIV-1 infection,and combined antiretroviral therapy(cArT)does not restore nonpathological expression levels.5,6 However,the expression and function of CD300a on NK cells during HIV-1 infection is still *** have determined the surface expression of CD300a on different NK cell subsets and the capacity of this receptor to inhibit CD16-induced NK cell effector functions in healthy and HIV-1 infected individuals.

Bean cells that have been habituated to grow in a lethal concentration （12 μM） of 2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile （dichlobenil or DCB, a cellulose biosynthesis inhibitor） are known to have decreased cellulose content in their cell walls. Xyloglucan, which is bound to cellulose and together with it forms the main loading network of plant cell walls, has also been described to decrease in habituated cells, but whether the change on cellulose affects the xyloglucan structure besides its abundance has not been analyzed. Fragmentation analysis with xyloglucan-specific endoglucanase （XEG） and endocellulase revealed that habituation to DCB caused a change in the fine structure of xyloglucan, namely a decrease in fucosyl residues attached to the galactosyl-xylosyl residues along the glucan backbone. After the removal of herbicide from the medium （dehabituated cells）, xyloglucan recovered its fucosyl residues. In addition, some cello-oligosaccharides could be detected only in habituated cells＇ xyloglucan digested by XEG and endocellulase, corresponding to a glucan co- valently bound or co-precipitated with the hemicelluloses. These results show that structural flexibility of cell walls relies in part on the plasticity of xyloglucan composition and opens up new perspectives to further research in this field.

To determine the number of mutations in the NS5A region of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) and its relationship to the response to antiviral therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis C genotype 1 who are non-responders to two or more treatments. METHODSSequences within HCV NS5A [PKr binding domain (PKrBD) and the interferon-sensitivity-determining region (ISDr)] were analysed via direct sequencing in a selected cohort of 72 patients, with a total of 201 treatments [interferon-alpha (IFN-α), n = 49; IFN-α + ribavirin (rBV), n = 75; pegylated (peg) IFN-α + rBV, n = 47; first-generation direct-acting antivirals (DAAs), n = 13; and second-generation DAAs, n = 17]. Of these, 48/201 achieved a sustained virological response (SVr) and 153/201 achieved no virological response (NVr). rESUlTSFor both regions, treatments resulting in SVr were associated with more baseline mutations than were treatments resulting in NVr (SVr vs NVr; PKrBD: 5.82 ± 3 vs 4.86 ± 2 mutations, P = 0.045; ISDr: 2.65 ± 2 vs 1.51 ± 1.7 mutations, P = 0.005). A decrease or no change in the number of mutations over time between treatments in the PKrBD or ISDr, as shown by sequencing, was associated with patients who usually failed to respond to treatment (PKrBD, P = 0.02; ISDr, P = 0.001). Moreover, patients showing a post-treatment baseline viral load > 600000 IU/ml and increased ISDr mutations with respect to the previous treatment were 9.21 times more likely to achieve SVr (P = 0.001). CONClUSIONThe obtained results show that among patients who have shown no response to two or more antiviral treatments, the likelihood of achieving SVr increases with the genetic variability in the ISDr region (≥ 2 mutations or number of substitutions from the HCV-J and HCV-1 prototype), especially when the viral load is greater than 600000 IU/ml.

The molecular pathways contributing to humoral-mediated allograft rejection are poorly defined. In this study, we assessed the role of the herpesvirus entry mediator/B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator （HVEM/BTlA） signalling pathway in the context of antibody-mediated allograft rejection. An experimental setting was designed to elucidate whether the blockade of HVEM/BTlA interactions could modulate de novo induction of host antidonor-specific antibodies during the course of graft rejection. To test this hypothesis, fully allogeneic major histocompatibility complex-mismatched skin grafts were transplanted onto the right flank of recipient mice that were treated with isotype control, anti-CD40l or modulatory antibodies of the HVEM/BTlA signalling pathway. The frequencies of CD4 T follicular helper （Tfh） cells （B220-, CD4＋ CXCr5＋ PD-lhigh）, extrafollicular helper cells （B220-, CD4＋ CXCr5- PD-1＋ and PD-1-） and germinal centre （GC） B cells （B220＋Fas＋ Gl7＋） were analysed by flow cytometry in draining and non-draining lymph nodes at day 10 post transplantation during the acute phase of graft rejection. The host antidonor isotype-specific humoral immune response was also assessed. Whereas blockade of the CD40/CD40l pathway was highly effective in preventing the allogeneic humoral immune response, antibody-mediated blockade of the HVEM/BTlA-interacting pathway affected neither the expansion of Tfh cells nor the expansion of GC B cells. Consequently, the course of the host antidonor antibody-mediated response proceeded normally, without detectable evidence of impaired development. In summary, these data indicate that HVEM/BTlA interactions are dispensable for the formation of de novo host antidonor isotype-specific antibodies in transplantation.
