In this work a comparative bioadsorption study between a biocomposite consisting of hydrolysed vineyard pruning waste entrapped in calcium alginate spheres and non entrapped vineyard residue was carried *** have demonstrated that the biocomposite based on lignocellulose-calcium alginate spheres removed 77.3% of dyes,while non entrapped lignocellulose eliminated only removed 27.8% of colour *** experimental data were fitted to several kinetic models（pseudo-first order,pseudo-second order,Chien-Clayton model,intraparticle diffusion model and bangham model）; being pseudo-second order the kinetic model that better described the adsorption of dyes onto both *** addition,a morphological study（roughness and shape） of alginate-vineyard biocomposite was established under extreme conditions,observing significant differences between hydrated and dehydrated alginate-vineyard *** techniques used to carry out this morphological study consisted of scanning electron microscopy（SEM）,perfilometry and 3D surface analysis.

Sustainable urban drainage systems are built along roads and in urban areas to collect urban runoff and avoid flooding, and to filter water pollutants. Sediment collected by runoff is deposited in the stormwater basin and progressively reduces water infiltration efficiency, leading to the clogging of the basin. To help stormwater basin managers and stakeholders better understand and predict clogging rates in order to elaborate maintenance plans and schedules, water transport prediction models are necessary. However,because of the heterogeneous sediment hydrodynamic properties inside the stormwater basin, a twodimensional(2-D) water flow model is required to predict water levels and possible overflow as accurately as possible. Saturated hydraulic conductivity(Ks) and sediment water retention curves were measured in the overall sediment layer of the stormwater basin, in addition to sediment layer thickness and organic matter content(11 sampling points). Sediment depth was used to predict organic matter(OM) content, and the OM was used to predict Ks. Water height in the basin was modeled with the HYDRUS-2 D model by taking into account the sediment hydrodynamic properties distribution. The HYDRUS-2 D model gave a satisfactory representation of the measured data. Scenarios of the hydraulic properties of stormwater basin sediment were tested over time, and hydraulic resistance, R, was calculated to assess the stormwater basin performance. Presently, after 20 years of functioning, the stormwater basin still ensures efficient water infiltration, but the first outflow(Hydraulic resistance,R > 24 h)) is expected to appear in the next 5 years, and clogging(R > 47 h) in the next 13 years. This 2-D water balance model makes it possible to integrate the hydrodynamic heterogeneity of a stormwater basin. It gives interesting perspectives to better predict 2-D/3-D contaminant transport.

Peptides have an important role in organism and its high quantity present in tumors leading to development of radiolabeled peptides for tumor-specific imaging. Once the traditional methodologies used for radiofluorination do not work with peptides, due to their harsh conditions, other radiolabeling strategies had to be developed to supply the need. Direct radiofluorination is either an inefficient method, and the use of bidirectional groups, or prosthetic groups, is needed to enable the binding between the radionuclide fluorine-18 and a peptide functionalized. New peptides radiolabeling strategies have been developed sourcing increase the synthesis yield, its chemoselectivity, and the binding stability, and reduce the total process time and the number of steps required. The progress of radiofluorination methodologies led to development of the amidation, acylation, imidation, and alkylation techniques, the use of thiol groups, photochemical conjugation, chemoselective reactions, and “click chemistry”, in addition to use of FDG molecule and heteroatoms as linkers. This paper presents the main strategies used for peptides radiofluorination, presenting their positive and negative points, and the prosthetic groups most used in each method.

The performances of the response surface methodology(RSM)in connection with the box–behnken,face central composite or full factorial design(bbD,FCCD or FFD,respectively)were compared for the use in modeling of the NaOH-catalyzed sunflower oil *** influence of temperature,catalyst loading,and ethanol-to-oil molar ratio(EOMR)on fatty acid ethyl esters(FAEE)content was *** three multivariate strategies were efficient in the statistical modeling and optimization of the influential process variables but bbD and FCCD realization involved less number of experiments,generating smaller costs,requiring less work and consuming shorter time than the corresponding *** three designs resulted in the same optimal catalyst loading(1.25%of oil)and EOMR(12:1).The reduced two-factorinteraction(2 FI)models based on the bbD and FCCD defined a range of optimal reaction temperature(25℃–75℃)and 25℃,respectively while the same model based on the 33 FFD appointed 75℃.The predicted FAEE content of about 97%–98.0%was close to the experimentally obtained FAEE content of about 97.0%–97.6%under the optimal reaction ***,the simpler bbD or FCCD might successfully be applied for statistical modeling of biodiesel production processes instead of the more extensive,more laborious and more expensive FFD.

近来的研究表明,由于围术期神经肌肉阻滞管理不当,肌肉松弛药(肌松药)残留阻滞及其术后并发症的发生率居高不下。需要重视神经肌肉功能监测仪、肌松药及其拮抗剂的合理应用,以利于改善神经肌肉阻滞管理。欧洲麻醉和重症监护学会(European Society of anaesthesiology and Intensive Care,ESAIC)首次发布围术期神经肌肉阻滞管理临床指南,旨在为临床医生提供最佳医疗管理的循证建议,以提高围术期患者安全。本指南主要聚焦在3个临床问题:肌松药是否有助于成人气管插管?神经肌肉阻滞深度是否影响腹部手术患者的预后?肌松药残留阻滞的诊断和治疗策略有哪些?根据PICO原则(患者、干预、对照、结局;patient,intervention,comparator,outcome;PICO)构建临床问题并进行文献检索。初始纳入的临床研究为24 000篇,采用逐步筛选策略,最终临床研究88篇纳入指南分析。应用GRADE方法学(Grading of Recommendations,Assessment,Development and Evaluation,GRADE)对结局指标证据、质量等级进行评价。运用两轮德尔菲法收集专家组建议并形成统一推荐:R1推荐应用肌松药辅助气管插管(1A)。R2推荐应用肌松药以减少气管插管导致的咽部和(或)喉部损伤(1C)。R3推荐在快速顺序诱导插管(rapid sequence induction intubation,RSII)时使用短效肌松药,例如琥珀胆碱1 mg/kg或罗库溴铵0.9~1.2 mg/kg(1b)。R4推荐在需要改善外科手术条件时,加深神经肌肉阻滞深度(1b)。R5尚无足够的证据推荐深度神经肌肉阻滞可减轻术后疼痛或降低围术期并发症的发生率(2C)。R6推荐在拇内收肌处刺激尺神经,定量监测神经肌肉阻滞深度以排除肌松药残留阻滞(1b)。R7推荐应用舒更葡糖钠逆转甾体类肌松药(罗库溴铵、维库溴铵)诱导的深、中及浅度神经肌肉阻滞(1A)。R8推荐在使用新斯的明前,TOFr自行恢复至>0.2,并继续定量监测神经肌肉功能,直至TOFr超过0.9(1C)。

The main advantages of the use of ionic liquids in enhanced oil recovery are their tunability and stability in harsh environmental conditions. In this work, a comprehensive review of ionic liquids proposed to improve current chemical oil recovery methods has been presented, focusing on core flooding experiments. With an almost infinite number of possible ionic liquids, the amount of experiments carried out up to now has been very limited. However, results are promising, with additional recovery after secondary flooding of up to 32% of the original oil in place. Most formulations with ionic liquids have been proposed for sandstone reservoirs, the number of studies with carbonate cores being very scarce. The possibilities of a new room temperature surface active ionic liquid, 1-decyl-3-methylimidazolium triflate,for this application were analyzed. It was shown that it is able to drastically reduce the water/oil interfacial tension. An optimized formulation was proposed for carbonate reservoirs. After secondary flooding with brine, an additional recovery of 10.5% of original oil in place was achieved at room conditions. A combination of the proposed method followed by a polymer flooding step with polyacrylamide led to a lesser but still significant recovery, reducing the costs associated to the ionic liquid.

Due to their inherent safety, low cost, and structural stability, TiO2 nanostructures represent a suitable choice as anode materials in sodiumion batteries. In the recent years, various hypotheses have been proposed regarding the actual mechanism of the reversible insertion of sodium ions in the TiO2 structure, and previous reports are often controversial in this respect. Interestingly, when tested as binder- and conducting additive-free electrodes in laboratory-scale sodium cells, amorphous and crystalline （anatase） TiO2 nanotubular arrays obtained by simple anodic oxidation exhibit peculiar and intrinsically different electrochemical responses. In particular, after the initial electrochemical activation, anatase TiO2 shows excellent rate capability and very stable long-term cycling performance with larger specific capacities, and thus a clearly superior response compared with the amorphous counterpart. To obtain deeper insight, the present materials are thoroughly characterized by scanning electron microscopy and ex situ X-ray diffraction, and the insertion of sodium ions in the TiO2 bulk phases is systematically modeled by density functional theory calculations. The present results may contribute to the development of more systematic screening approaches to identify suitable active materials for highly efficient sodium-based energy storage systems.

Niche partitioning is a widespread ecological strategy within trophic guilds,ensuring the coexistence of sympatric species by reducing interspecific *** isotope analysis of carbon and nitrogen and isotopic niche metrics(width and overlap)are used as a proxy to investigate niche partitioning among species of a *** our study,we investigated if niche partitioning was an ecological mechanism contributing to the coexistence of granivorous birds from the same geographic region along time,employing an isotopic *** sampled and isotopically analyzed(δ^(13)C andδ^(15)N values)wing feathers from 58 specimens of granivorous birds collected between 1900 and 1966 in southeastern *** grouped birds according to the main habitat type used by them(forest:Cyanoloxia brissonii,Leptotila and Leptotila verreauxi;and grassland:Columbina squammata and Sicalis flaveola).We used the Isotopic Richness(IRic)metric to measure the isotopic niche width and the Isotopic Similarity(ISim)and Isotopic Nestedness(INes)metrics to measure the niche overlap between groups and *** results of low isotopic niche overlap suggest that common granivorous birds had a clear niche partitioning in southeastern brazil in the late past,especially through foraging in distinct habitat types(forest and grassland;ISim=0.1,INes=0.2).Niche overlaps in almost all species-by-species comparisons were low(ISim≤0.3,INes≤0.4),except between *** and ***(ISim=0.6,INes=1.0).These results suggest that these birds,belonging to the same trophic guild,coexisted through niche and resource *** being considered a plastic trophic guild,the isotopic niche partitioning among granivorous birds indicates that each of these species uses a set of specific resources and *** raises an ecological concern about the homogenization of landscapes across the Neotropics,oversimplifying food resources and habitats to granivorous birds.

Elesclomol (ELC) is an anticancer drug inducing mitochondria cytotoxicity through reactive oxygen ***,for the first time,we encapsulate the poorly water soluble ELC in monoolein-based cubosomes stabilized with Pluronic *** uptake and nanocarrier accumulation close to the mitochondria with sub-micrometer distance is identified via three-dimensional (3D) confocal microscopy and edge-to-edge compartment *** monitor the therapeutic effect of the ELC nanocarrier,we apply for the first time,label-free time-lapse multi-photon fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (MP-FLIM) to track NAD(P)H cofactors with sub-cellular resolution on live cells exposed to an anticancer *** in vitro cytotoxicity is verified when loading the pre-complexed ELC with copper (ELC-Cu).Importantly,for equivalent copper concentration,cubosomes loaded with ELC-Cu show higher cytotoxicity compared to the free *** novel nanocarrier shows promising features for systemic ELC-Cu administration,and furthermore we establish the MP-FLIM technique for the assessment of anticancer drug delivery systems.
