Kaiy(medieval cautery)is an ancient method of heat therapy in traditional Persian medicine(TPM).Some of its important applications have been neglected during the medical ***,different treatment modalities that incorporate heat,including moxibustion,have progressed in traditional Chinese *** this study,we reviewed the main TPM textbooks that were written specifically in the field of *** considered the traditional teachings in the context of contemporary information,gathered from the scientific literature about moxibustion and modern *** surgical therapeutic indications of kaiy(e.g.,debridement and coagulative procedures)have been advanced by the innovation of ***,those therapeutic applications that were based on the TPM humoral theory for relieving body coldness or myofascial pains—which are similar to moxibustion usages—have not received the same *** from the broad similarities of kaiy and moxibustion as thermal therapies with similar indications,there is a striking correspondence between kaiy point mapping and ***,further research on different kaiy aspects is recommended.

Elastic Mechanical Stress Analysis in a 2D-FGM Thick Finite Length Hollow Cylinder with Newly Developed Material Model

In this paper a new 2D-FGM material model based on Mori-Tanaka scheme and third-order transition function has been developed for a thick hollow cylinder of finite *** mechanical stress analysis is performed by utilizing the finite element *** corresponding material,displacement and stress distributions are evaluated for different values of nr and ***,the effects of different material property distributions on the effective stress with respect to the metallic phase volume fraction are *** is demonstrated that the increase in nr and V_m leads to a significant reduction in the effective ***,it is shown that the ceramic phase rich cylinder wall has lower maximum effective stresses of which the lowest value of effective stress has been evaluated for nr=20 and nz=*** minimum value is about half the maximum effective stress which has been evaluated for the non-FGM cylinder case（nr=nz=0.1）.

Synthesis,characterization and pharmacological evaluation of pyrazolyl urea derivatives as potential anti-inflammatory agents

p38α mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK) inhibitors provide a novel approach for the treatment of inflammatory disorders.A series of fifteen pyrazolyl urea derivatives(3a-o) were synthesized and evaluated for their p38α MAPK inhibition and antioxidant *** 3a-e,3g and 3h showed low micromolar range potency(IC_(50) values ranging from 0.037 ±1.56 to 0.069± 0.07μmol/L)compared to the standard inhibitor SB 203580(IC_(50) = 0.043 + 3.62μmol/L) when evaluated for p38αMAPK inhibition by an immunosorbent-based *** activity was measured by a 2,2'-diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl radical(DPPH) free radical scavenging method and one of the compounds,3c,showed better percentage antioxidant activity(75.06%) compared to butylated hydroxy anisole(71.53%)at 1 mmol/L *** 3a-e,3g and 3h showed promising in vivo anti-inflammatory activity(ranging from 62.25%to 80.93%) in comparison to diclofenac sodium(81.62%).The ulcerogenic liability and lipid peroxidation activity of these compounds were observed to be less in comparison to diclofenac *** compounds also potently inhibited the lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced TNF-αrelease in mice(ID_(50) of 3a-c = 19.98,11.32 and 9.67 mg/kg,respectively).Among the screened compounds,derivative 3c was found to be the most potent and its binding mode within the p38α MAPK is also reported.

In this paper,using Parseval frames we generalize Sun’s results to g-frames in Hilbert C^(*)-***,for g-frames in Hilbert spaces,we present some characterizations in terms of a family of frames,not only for orthonormal ***,we have a note about a comment and a relation in the proof of Proposition 5.3 in[*** et al.,On weaving g-frames for Hilbert spaces,Complex Analysis and Operator Theory,2020].Finally,we have some results for g-Riesz bases,woven and P-woven g-frames.

Experimental investigation into effects of the natural polymer and nanoclay particles on the EOR performance of chemical flooding in carbonate reservoirs

This paper aims to investigate the tragacanth gum potential as a natural polymer combined with natural clay mineral(montmorillonite,kaolinite,and illite)nanoparticles(NPs)to form NP-polymer suspension for enhanced oil recovery(EOR)in carbonate *** gravimetric analysis(TGA)tests were conducted initially in order to evaluate the properties of tragacanth ***,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX)tests were used to detect the structure of clay *** various scenarios,the effects of natural NPs and polymer on the wettability alteration,interfacial tension(IFT)reduction,viscosity improvement,and oil recovery were investigated through contact angle system,ring method,Anton Paar viscometer,and core flooding tests,*** entire experiment was conducted at 25,50,and 75℃,*** to the experimental results,the clay minerals alone did not have a significant effect on viscosity,but the addition of minerals to the polymer solution leads to the viscosity enhancement remarkably,resulting mobility ratio *** clay NPs,the combination of natural polymer and kaolinite results in increased viscosity at all *** wettability alteration was also observed in the case of natural polymer and illite *** in combination with natural polymer showed an ability in reducing ***,the results of displacement experiments revealed that the combination of natural polymer and kaolinite could be the best option for EOR due to its substantial ability to improve the recovery factor.

Fabrication of Porous Mg-Zn Scaffold through Modified Replica Method for Bone Tissue Engineering

Biodegradable scaffolds are essential parts in hard tissue engineering. A highly porous magnesium-zinc （Mg-Zn 4 wt.%） scaffold with different Mg-Zn powder to liquid media ratios （50 wt.%, 70 wt.% and 90 wt.%） and different concentrations of ethanol （0 vol.%, 10 vol.%, 20 vol.% and 40 vol.%） were prepared through modified replica method. The mechanical properties were assessed through compression test and the structures of scaffolds were examined by Scanning Electron Microscope （SEM）. Results show that, the increase in Mg-Zn powder to liquid media ratio （50 wt.% to 90 wt.%） in ethanol free slurry, increases the thickness of struts （37 lam to 74 lam） and the plateau stress （0.5 MPa to 1.4 MPa）. The results obtained from X-ray Diffractometry （XRD） and compression test indicate that consuming ethanol in liquid media of replica, results in higher plateau stress by 46% due to less Mg-water reaction and no formation of Mg（OH）2 in the scaffold. The results of porosity measurement indicate that water-ethanol mixture composition and different solid fractions have no significant effects on true and apparent porosities of the fabricated scaffolds.

Innovative configuration of vertical slot fishway to enhance fish swimming conditions

A vertical slot fishway(VSF)is among the most effective and commonly used fishway structures to enable fish to pass through artificial barriers such as dams and weirs in the ***,such structures need further improvements in providing better swimming conditions for fish inside the pool and enhancing attraction at the ***,the main objective of this study was to investigate the influence of slope and whether integrating some cylinder structures inside the fishway could enhance further attraction and provide better swimming conditions for *** study consists of several numerical simulations,first considering the fishway without cylinder elements while testing three different slopes under two different ***,the same numerical simulations were conducted,considering cylinder elements of different diameters and arrangements inside the *** numerical model was validated by comparing computed velocities with those measured experimentally from the *** results show that the maximum velocity and turbulent kinetic energy(TKE)in the main jet increase as the discharge increases on the same *** flow velocity and TKE decrease in the areas inside the pool and between the two *** cylinder elements inside the fishway reduces the principal flow’s maximum ***,inside the pool,low-velocity regions were expanding.A comparison between the design with a cylinder and the simple VSF indicates that the presence of a cylinder reduced the maximum velocities for the smallest and highest slopes by 6.21%and 9.86%on average,***,in terms of TKE,cylinders inside the fishway could provide better performance than simple VSF,mainly for low-flow ***,this study’s solution-oriented findings provide insights that could help design cost-effective fishways by improving particularly fish attraction to the fishway.

A review on the cracking,baking and leaching processes of rare earth element concentrates

Rare earth elements（REE） are a set of seventeen chemical elements in the periodic table, which have been found in a variety classes of minerals in the world. The global demand for REE and their compounds has increased in high-tech applications over the past decades due to their chemical, catalytic, electrical, magnetic, and optical properties. After mining, comminution and ore beneficiation, hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processes are carried out to recover REE compounds. The concentrate cracking is a process wherein the structure of a REE mineral is modified in order to dissolve REE in a weak acid solution. This would be accomplished through various techniques such as alkaline cracking and acid baking. The cracked concentrate is then leached to dissolve REE in a solution and subsequently recover those via neutralization, precipitation or solvent extraction methods. This paper reviewed the cracking and leaching methods applied to REE concentrates to produce an intermediate product for further REE separation.

Experimental determination of gas holdup and volumetric mass transfer coefficient in a jet bubbling reactor

The hydrodynamics and mass transfer characteristics of a lab-scale jet bubbling reactor(JBR)including the gas holdup,volumetric mass transfer coefficient and specific interfacial area were assessed experimentally investigating the influence of temperature,pH and superficial gas *** reactor diameter and height were 11 and 30 cm,*** was equipped with a single sparger,operating at atmospheric pressure,20 and 40℃,and two pH values of 3 and *** height of the liquid was 23 cm,while the superficial gas velocity changed within 0.010-0.040 m·s^(-1)*** were conducted with pure oxygen as the gas phase and saturated lime solution as the liquid *** liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficient was determined under unsteady-state oxygen absorption in a saturated lime *** gas holdup was calculated based on the liquid height change,while the specific interfacial area was obtained by a physical method based on the bubble size distribution(BSD)in different superficial gas *** results indicated that at the same temperature but different pH,the gas holdup variation was negligible,while the liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficient at the pH value of 6 was higher than that at the pH=*** a constant pH but different temperatures,the gas holdup and the liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficients at 40℃were higher than that of the same at 20℃.A reasonable and appropriate estimation of the liquid-side volumetric mass transfer coefficient(kla)in a pilot-scale JBR was provided which can be applied to the design and scale-up of JBRs.
