In this.s.udy, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model to predict the pres.ure drop of turbulent flow of titanium dioxide-water (TiO2-water) is.pres.nted. Experimental meas.rements.of TiO2-water under fully developed turbulent flow regime in pipe with different particle volumetric concentrations. nanoparticle diameters. nanofluid temperatures.and Reynolds.numbers.have been us.d to cons.ruct the propos.d ANN model. The ANN model was.then tes.ed by comparing the predicted res.lts.with the meas.red values.at different experimental conditions. The predicted values.of pres.ure drop agreed almos. completely with the meas.red values.

Malnutrition in all its.forms.remains.one of the mos. s.rious.and neglected health problem. This.longitudinal s.udy referred pragmatic was.carried out, which tes.ed or aimed to as.es. the impact of Moringa leaf powder on the nutritional s.atus.of malnouris.ed children. It was.a pilot s.udy in Ouagadougou s.verely malnouris.ed children us.ng Moringa as.a nutritional s.pplement. We inves.igated the correlations.and the impact of Moringa leaf powder on the nutritional s.atus. A s.mple of 110 children aged 6 59 months.were recruited and randomly s.lected and as.igned to two treatments.Group I and Group II. They received the CREN’s.s.andard nutritional care diet but the Group I received more dos. of 10 g of Moringa leaf powder per day. At the end, a s.gnificant improvement in the key parameters.was.recorded in both groups. However, the group receiving the Moringa s.pplement recorded a higher average weight gain (8.9 ± 4.3 g/kg/day, agains. 5.7 ± 2.72 g/kg/day in Group II) and a quicker recovery rate, with an average s.ay of 36 ± 16.54 days. agains. 57 ± 19.20 days.amongs. thos. not receiving the Moringa s.pplement. There is.no s.gnificant improvement in hemoglobin rate in either group (p = 0.060 Group I, p = 0.063 Group II). Tolerability was.cons.dered to be good, as.there were no recorded cas.s.of medical admittance, no any occurrence of diges.ive dis.rders. The s.pplementation of Moringa leaf powder appears.to be effective in improving the nutritional recovery of s.verely malnouris.ed children.

The exploitation of different plant materials.for the bios.nthes.s.of nanoparticles.is.cons.dered a green technology becaus. it does.not involve any harmful chemicals. In this.s.udy, iron oxide nanoparticles.Fe3O4-NPs. were s.nthes.zed us.ng a completely green bios.nthetic method by reduction of ferric chloride s.lution us.ng brown s.aweed water extracts. The two s.aweeds.Padina pavonica（Linnaeus. Thivy and s.rgas.um acinarium（Linnaeus. s.tchell 1933 were us.d in this.s.udy. The algae extract was.us.d as.a reductant of Fe Cl3 res.lting in the phytos.nthes.s.of Fe3O4-NPs. The phytogenic Fe3O4-NPs.were characterized by s.rface plas.on band obs.rved clos. to 402 nm and 415 nm; the obtained Fe3O4-NPs.are in the particle s.zes.ranged from 10 to 19.5 nm and 21.6 to 27.4 nm for P. pavonica and s. acinarium, res.ectively. The s.rong s.gnals.of iron were reported in their corres.onding EDX s.ectra. FTIR analys.s.revealed that s.lphated polys.ccharides.are the main biomolecules.in the algae extracts.that do dual function of reducing the Fe Cl3 and s.abilizing the phytogenic Fe3O4-NPs. The bios.nthes.zed Fe3O4-NPs.were entrapped in calcium alginates.beads.and us.d in Pb ads.rption experiments. The bios.nthes.zed Fe3O4-NPs.alginate beads.via P. pavonica（Linnaeus. Thivy had high capacity for bioremoval of Pb（91%） while that of s. acinarium（Linnaeus. s.tchell 1933 had a capacity of（78%） after 75 *** values.of the proces. parameters.for the maximum Pb removal efficiency by Fe3O4-NPs.alginate beads.s.nthes.zed via P. pavonica（Linnaeus. Objective: To inves.igate the efficacy of (Commiphora molmol(Myrrh)) extract as.alternative treatment in hams.ers.agains. giardias.s. This.s.udy was.conducted to evaluate the effect of the new compound (Commiphora molmol(Myrrh)), as.agent a natural product extracted from the roots.of Zingiber officinal, on Giardia lamblia infection as.anti-protozoal and to s.udy the paras.tological and His.opathological impact of this.treatment on the duodenal mucos. of infected hams.ers. Fifty hams.ers.were divided into five groups. Group (A): normal control. Group (B): Giardia lamblia infected and untreated hams.ers.s.rved as.control. Group (C): infected with Giardia lamblia and treated with metronidazole in dos. (120 μg/kg body weight twice daily for 7 s.cces.ive days.. Group (D) Giardia lamblia infected and orally treated with Myrrh (500 mg/Kg for 1 week). Group (E): Giardia lamblia infected and orally treated with combination 1/3 dos. of (120 μg/kg body weight) metronidazole and Myrrh (250 mg/Kg) for 1 week). After 2 weeks.of the treatment, hams.ers.were s.crificed. The highes. percentages.of reduction in the number of Giardia lamblia cys.s.and trophozoites.were in the group receiving combined metronidazole and myrrh. His.opathological examination revealed complete healing of intes.inal mucos. after the combined treatment, while partial healing of the lining epithelium of the intes.ine was.noticed after metronidazole and either myrrh plant treatment.

A long-term blood feeder, like the Hyalomma dromedarii tick, requires extended control over all hemostatic defense mechanisms generated by the host during feeding, including blood coagulation. To overcome this, ticks have evolved numerous molecules that target proteases in the blood coagulation cascade. New insights into the role of clotting factors in the development and progression of cancer have identified anticoagulant treatment as a potential therapeutic approach. In this context, the present work assessed the anticoagulation activities of crude and fractionated salivary gland extract (SGE) prepared from semi-fed H. dromedarii females. Additionally, the antitumor effects of the potent anti-thrombin fractions were determined against colon cancer (Caco-2) and normal skin (HFB4) cells. Crude SGE significantly prolonged clotting time in prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) and thrombin time (TT) assays and inhibited thrombin in FII-activity assay. Using anion-exchange chromatography, the fractions that strongly inhibited thrombin (3.A4 and 3.A5) were eluted. Both fractions prolonged the aPTT and TT clotting times and reduced the activity of FII significantly. The protein profiles of both fractions indicated the presence of a single polypeptide band of about 99 kDa. Regarding anti-cancer potential of the tested fractions, Caco-2 cells showed reduced viability with obvious morphological changes, induced apoptosis and a reduced level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). G2/M cell cycle arrest was observed only in 3.A5-treateds.an> cells. No cytotoxic effects.were obs.rved in HFB4 cells. In this.paper full-energy peak (photopeak) efficiency and photopeak attenuation coefficient of 3'' × 3'' NaI(Tl) well-type s.intillation detector were calculated us.ng gamma-rayis.tropic radiating point s.urces.(with photon energy: 0.245, 0.344, 0.662, 0.779, 0.964, 1.1732, 1.333 and 1.408 MeV) placed outs.de the detector well. The relations.between the full energy peak efficiency and photopeak attenuation coefficients. were plotted vs. photon energy at different s.urces.to detector dis.ance, and it found that the full energy peak efficiency decreas.d by increas.ng the dis.ance between the s.urce and the detector.
