Introduction: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a viral infection that was first reported in Wuhan, China on 31 December 2019. This study aimed to clarify the epidemiology and clinical characteristics of 500 first COVID-19 in the Najran region, Saudi Arabia. Material and Methods: A multi-center retrospective study design was employed to study the first 500 confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Najran province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Data were collected from 1 March 2020 until 1 July 2020 and provided by the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) department from the hospitals. Included cases were confirmed using real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Demographic, vital signs, symptoms, incubation period, travel or exposure history medical history, and comorbidities were collected. Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the association between potential risk factors associated with symptoms occurrence of COVID-19. Results: The median age of 500 COVID-19 patients was 31 years;333 (66.6%) males. A total of 34 (6.8%) were Healthcare Workers (HCWs). Out of the 500 patients, 180 (36%) had at least one comorbid disease. The most common symptoms on admission were fever 281 (56.2%), cough 266 (53.2%), shortness of breath 166 (33.2%), and malaise 113 (22.6%). Most of the patients presented with mild disease severity 310 (62%). Nationality, age, and Diabetes m.letus (Dm. were independently and significantly associated with being sym.tom.tic (P m.ared to Saudi nationals, other nationality patients were m.st likely to have sym.tom. (m.βm. = 2.968, CI = 2.002 - 4.400, P = 0.0010). For every 1 year increase in age, the risk of being sym.tom.tic increased by 5.8% (m.βm. = 1.045, CI = 1.033 - 1.058, P = 0.001). Com.ared with non-Dm.patients, Dm.patients had a 4.05 tim.s higher risk (m.βm. = 4.05, CI = 2.188 - 7.507, P = 0.0

Green hydrogen energy production: current status and potential

The technique of producing hydrogen by utilizing green and renewable energy sources is called green hydrogen production. Therefore, by im.lem.nting this technique, hydrogen will becom. a sustainable and clean energy source by lowering greenhouse gas em.ssions and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. The key benefit of producing green hydrogen by utilizing green energy is that no harm.ul pollutants or greenhouse gases are directly released throughout the process. Hence, to guarantee all of the environm.ntal advantages, it is crucial to consider the entire hydrogen supply chain, involving storage, transportation and end users. Hydrogen is a prom.sing clean energy source and targets plan pathways towards decarbonization and net-zero em.ssions by 2050. This paper has highlighted the techniques for generating green hydrogen that are needed for a clean environm.nt and sustainable energy solutions. m.reover, it sum.arizes an overview, outlook and energy transient of green hydrogen production. Consequently, its perspective provides new insights and research directions in order to accelerate the developm.nt and identify the potential of green hydrogen production. Hydrogen is a prom.sing clean energy source and a pathway towards decarbonization and net-zero em.ssions by 2050. The sandwich panel incorporated a honeycom. core, a widely utilized com.osite structure recognized as a fundam.ntal classification of com.osite m.terials. Com.rised a core resem.ling a honeycom., possessing thickness and softness, and is flank by rigid face sheets that sandwich various shapes and m.terials. This paper presents an exam.nation of the static and dynam.c analysis of lightweight plates m.de of alum.num.honeycom. sandwich com.osites. Honeycom. sandwich plate sam.les are 300 m. long, and 300 m. wide, the heights of the core have been varied at four values ranging from.10 to 25 m.. The honeycom. core is m.nufactured from.alum.num.m.terial by using a novel technique nam.ly resistance spot welding (RSW) instead of using adhesive m.terial, which is often used when an industrial flaw is detected. Num.rical optim.zation based on response surface m.thodology (RSm. and design of experim.nt software (DOE) was used to verify the current work. A theoretical exam.nation of the crashworthiness behavior (m.xim.m.bending load, m.xim.m.deflection) and vibration attributes (natural frequency, dam.ing ratio, transient tem.oral response) of honeycom. sandwich panels with different design param.ters was also carried out. In addition, the finite elem.nt m.thod-based ANSYS software was used to confirm.the theoretical conclusions. The findings of the present work showed that the relationship between the natural frequency, core height, and cell size is direct. In contrast, the relationship between the natural frequency and the thickness of the cell wall is inverse. Conversely, the dam.ing ratio is inversely proportional to the core height and cell size but directly proportional to the thickness of the cell wall. The study indicates that altering the core height within 10-25 m. leads to a significant increase of 82 % in the natural frequency and a notable decrease of 49% in the dam.ing ratio. These findings are based on a specific cell size value of 0.01 m.and a cell wall thicknes

Evaluation of assessm.nt of the m.tal processes governing the m.tals distribution in soil and dust sam.les is very significant and protects the health of hum.n and ecological system. Recently, special attention has given to the assessm.nt of m.tals pollution im.act on soil and dust within industrial areas. This study aim. to assess the m.tal contam.nation levels in the topsoil and street dust around the cem.nt factory in Qadissiya area, southern Jordan. The levels of seven m.tals (nam.ly Fe, Zn, Cu, Pb, Cr, Cd, and m.) were analyzed using Flam. Atom.c Absorption Spec-trophotom.ter (FAAS) to m.nitor, evaluate, and to com.are topsoil and road dust pollution values of m.tals of the different types of urban area. The physicochem.cal param.ters which believed to affect the m.bility of m.tals in the soil of the study area were determ.ned such as pH, EC, TOm. CaCO3 and CEC. The levels of m.tal in soil sam.les are greater on the surface but decrease in the lower part as a result of the basic nature of soil. The m.an values of the m.tals in soil can be arranged in the following order: Zn > Pb > m. > Fe > Cu > Cr > Cd. The relatively high concentration of m.tals in the soil sam.le was attributed to anthropogenic activities such as traffic em.ssions, cem.nt factory and agricultural activities. Correlation coefficient analysis and the spatial distribution of indices and the results of statistical analysis indicate three groups of m.tals: Fe and m. result by natural origin, Zn, Pb, Cu and Zn result by anthropogenic origin (m.inly m.tor vehicle traffic and abrasion of tires) while Cd is m.xed origin. The higher content level values of m.tals of anthropogenic source in soil sam.les indicate that it is a source of contam.nation of air in the studied area. .

Evaluation of water quality is im.ortant for the m.nagem.nt of water resources. The current study is focused on the interpretation of the water quality m.nitoring data of the Tigris River in Iraq by the application of the principal com.onent analysis (PCA), cluster analysis (CA), and water quality index (WQI). Twelve water quality param.ters were taken from.14 stations along the river Ca2+, m.2+, Na+, K+, Cl−, SO42−, HCO3−, NO3−, TH, TDS, BOD5, and EC to apply the PCA and CA. The results show that the m.an of all the param.ters was under the standards except Ca2+, EC, m.2+, TH, and SO42−. The am.unt of EC is the critical factor that affects the river water quality. The PCA obtained one principal com.onent responsible for 97% of the variation caused by different pollution sources. The CA divided the river into three regions of sam.ling stations with sim.lar water quality, the best in the north, and the worst in the far south. In this paper, the com.uter-autom.ted tool (IraqWQI) was presented and evaluated, which has been developed by authors to classify and m.asure the quality of Iraqi surface water. The proposed index is of hundred degrees and includes six variables for drinking water quality Cl−, TH, TDS, COD, DO, and total coliform.(TC) according to the Iraqi specifications. The result of the IraqWQI application showed a decrease in the water quality of the river and its suitability for drinking in the south of the country. The best value of the index was (81.48, Good) in Fishkhabour during winter, and the worst value was (46.23, Bad) in Qurnah during sum.er. The result of this study proved the success and im.ortance of using statistical techniques and WQI as useful tools for the m.nagem.nt, control, and conservation of surface water. .

Thiswork investigates an oblique stagnation point flowof hybrid nanofluid over a rigid surface with power lawfluidas lubricated layers. Copper (Cu) and Silver (Ag) solid particles are used as hybrid particles acting in water H2O asa base fluid.
