INTRODUCTION After encountering an antigen,B cells undergo class switch recombination(CSR),which substitutes the Cμgene with Cγ,Cε,or Cαto generate IgG,IgE,and IgA antibodies with the same antigenic specificity but new effector functions.1 The DNAediting enzyme activation-induced deaminase(AID)is essential for CSR by targeting switch(S)regions preceding Cμ(namely,the Sμdonor region)and the Cγ,Cε,and Cαgenes(namely,the Sγ,ε,αacceptor regions).1 Cis-and trans-controlled DNA double strand beaks are generated during this process.2–6 Recruitment of DNA repair factors that facilitate the end-joining process is a crucial step of class switch *** pathways are implicated in this end *** classical non-homogenous end joining(c-NhEJ)pathway ligates DNA ends with no or little *** contrast,the alternative end joining(A-EJ)pathways is used to ligate DNA ends that have microhomology.

＜正＞A multi-agent architecture is proposed to model assembly systems. Under this paradigm every workcell within an assembly system is modeled as an agent with the same abstract architecture. This architecture follows a layered approach in which the lowest level models the most primitive actions of the workcell. Another layer is added on top of it to control its primitive actions so as to achieve a goal, which in turn is generated by yet another layer. Each agent is incorporated into it a top most co-operative layer through which the communication and co-ordination among agents are modeled. In pursuing this approach, each agent is capable of controlling and planning its local actions in order to fulfill the goal generated by the co-operative layer. Therefore, a tremendous amount of workload associated with planning, error detection, diagnosis and recovery is distributed to the local agent.

Background:Seasonal influenza resurged in China in February 2023,causing a large number of *** influenza epidemics occurred across China during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,the relaxation of COVID-19 containment measures in December 2022 may have contributed to the spread of acute respiratory infections in winter 2022/***:Using a mathematical model incorporating influenza activity as measured by influenza-like illness(ILI)data for northern and southern regions of China,we reconstructed the seasonal influenza incidence from October 2015 to September 2019 before the COVID-19 *** this trained model,we predicted influenza activities in northern and southern China from March to September ***:We estimated the effective reproduction number Re as 1.08[95%confidence interval(CI):0.51,1.65]in northern China and 1.10(95%CI:0.55,1.67)in southern China at the start of the 2022-2023 influenza *** estimated the infection attack rate of this influenza wave as 18.51%(95%CI:0.00%,37.78%)in northern China and 28.30%(95%CI:14.77%,41.82%)in southern ***:The 2023 spring wave of seasonal influenza in China spread until July 2023 and infected a substantial number of people.

While the host immune response following primary human cytomegalovirus （hCMV） infection is generally effective at stopping virus replication and dissemination, virus is never cleared by the host and like all herpesviruses, persists for life. At least in part, this persistence is known to be facilitated by the ability of hCMV to establish latency in myeloid cells in which infection is essentially silent with, importantly, a total lack of new virus production. however, although the viral transcription programme during latency is much suppressed, a number of viral genes are expressed during latent infection at the protein level and many of these have been shown to have profound effects on the latent cell and its environment. Intriguingly, many of these latency-associated genes are also expressed during lyric infection. Therefore, why the same potent host immune responses generated during lytic infection to these viral gene products are not recognized during latency, thereby allowing clearance of latently infected cells, is far from clear. Reactivation from latency is also a major cause of hCMV-mediated disease, particularly in the immune compromised and immune naive, and is also likely to be a major source of virus in chronic subclinical hCMV infection which has been suggested to be associated with long-term diseases such as atherosclerosis and some neoplasias. Consequently, understanding latency and why latenUy infected cells appear to be immunoprivileged is crucial for an understanding of the pathogenesis of hCMV and may help to design strategies to eliminate latent virus reservoirs, at least in certain clinical settings.

＜正＞Successful gene therapy depends on accurate delivery of therapeutic genes to target sites. In this report, we used magnetic nanoparticles to achieve this goal by developing magnetic Moloney leukemia virus-based （MRV） vectors. The vectors are combined by magnetic nanoparticles with the MRV viral vectors and can be guided to a specific site by an external magnetic filed.

A straight, non-sporulating, Gram-variable bacillus (hkU24T) was recovered from the blood culture of a patient with metastatic breast carcinoma. After repeated subculturing in BACTEC Plus Anaerobic/F blood culture broth, hkU24T grew on brucella agar as non-hemolytic, pinpoint colonies after 96 h of incubation at 37 °C in an anaerobic environment and aerobic environment with 5% CO2. Growth was enhanced with a streak of Staphylococcus aureus. hkU24T was non-motile and catalase-negative, but positive for alkaline phosphatase, β-glucosidase, and α-glucosidase. It hydrolyzed phenylphosphonate and reduced resazurin. 16S rRNA, groEL, gyrB, recA, and rpoB sequencing showed that hkU24T occupies a distinct phylogenetic position among the Leptotrichia species, being most closely related to Leptotrichia trevisanii. Using hkU24T groEL, gyrB, recA, and rpoB gene-specific primers, fragments of these genes were amplified from one of 20 oral specimens. Based on phenotypic and genotypic characteristics, we propose a new species, Leptotrichia hongkongensis sp. nov., to describe this bacterium.

The high effectiveness of the third dose of BNT162b2 in healthy adolescents against Omicron BA.1 has been reported in some studies,but immune responses conferring this protection are not yet *** this analysis,our study(NCT04800133)aims to evaluate the humoral and cellular responses against wild-type and Omicron(BA.1,BA.2 and/or BA.5)SARS-CoV-2 before and after a third dose of BNT162b2 in healthy *** 5 months after 2 doses,S IgG,S IgG Fc receptor-binding,and neutralising antibody responses waned significantly,yet neutralising antibodies remained detectable in all tested adolescents and S IgG avidity increased from 1 month after 2 *** antibody responses and S-specific IFN-γ^(+)and IL-2^(+)CD8^(+)T cell responses were significantly boosted in healthy adolescents after a homologous third dose of *** to adults,humoral responses for the third dose were non-inferior or superior in *** S-specific IFN-γ^(+)and IL-2^(+)CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)T cell responses in adolescents and adults were comparable or ***,after 3 doses,adolescents had preserved S IgG,S IgG avidity,S IgG FcγRIIIa-binding,against Omicron BA.2,as well as preserved cellular responses against BA.1 S and moderate neutralisation levels against BA.1,BA.2 and *** from 100 and 96%of adolescents tested at 1 and 5 months after two doses could also neutralise *** study found high antibody and T cell responses,including potent cross-variant reactivity,after three doses of BNT162b2 vaccine in adolescents in its current formulation,suggesting that current vaccines can be protective against symptomatic Omicron disease.

The fate of different trace elements and radio nuclides in the new ZWILAG nuclear waste treatment plant （Switzerland） has been modelled, in order to predict and check the transport behaviour of the volatile species and their distribution in the plant. Calculations show that for active waste from medicine, industry, research （MIR waste） only Zn and Cs have stable gaseous species at 1200℃. The investigations confirm the efficiency of the examined flue gas cleaning system.
