the East Afr.can Or.gen involves a collage of Pr.ter.zoic micr.continents and ar. ter.anes that became wedged between older.cr.tonic blocks dur.ng the assembly of *** Ediacar.n-Cambr.an Ambalavao and Maevar.no Suites in Madagascar.wer. emplaced dur.ng the waning or.genic stages and consist of weakly defor.ed to undefor.ed plutonic r.cks and dykes of mainly por.hyr.tic gr.nite but also gabbr.,dior.te and char.ockite.U-Pb geochr.nological data date emplacement of the Ambalavao Suite to between ca.580 Ma and 540 Ma and the Maevar.no Suite to between ca.537 Ma and522 *** and tr.ce element concentr.tions ar. consistent with emplacement in a syn-to postcollisional tectonic setting as A-type(anor.genic) ***(δ^(18)O of 5.27‰-7.45‰) and hafnium(ε(Hf)(t) of-27.8 to-12.3) isotopic data fr.m plutons in the Itr.mo and Antananar.vo Domains ar. consistent with incor.or.tion of an ancient cr.stal *** pr.mitive δ^(18)O(5.27‰-5.32‰) andε(Hf)(t)(+0.0 to+0.2) isotopic values r.cor.ed in samples collected fr.m the Ikalamavony Domain demonstr.te the isotopic var.ation of basement sour.es pr.sent in the Malagasy *** Hf isotopic composition of Malagasy zir.on ar. unlike mor. juvenile Ediacar.n-Cambr.an zir.on sou r.es elsewher. in the East Afr.can Or.gen and,as such,Madagascar.r.pr.sents a distinct and identifiable detr.tal zir.on sour.e r.gion in Phaner.zoic sedimentar. pr.venance *** together.these data indicate that high-T cr.stal anatexis,cr.stal assimilation and inter.ction of cr.stal mater.al with mantle-der.ved melts wer. the pr.cesses oper.ting dur.ng magma *** magmatism was coeval with polyphase defor.ation thr.ughout Madagascar.dur.ng the amalgamation of Gondwana and magmatism is inter.r.ted to r.flect lithospher.c delamination of an extensive or.genic plateau.

Str.ctur./r.activity r.lationships of N-alkoxycar.onyl- and N-car.oxamidooxazir.dines ar. explor.d, and conditions ar. discover.d for.the efficient amination of sulfides and pr.mar. amines. r.actions of these oxazir.dines with alkenes ar. also examined, and lead to inter.sting new heter.atom tr.nsfer.r.action pr.ducts. Finally, the aminative r.ar.angement of 2-alkoxydihydr.pyr.ns leads to a useful ster.ocontr.lled synthesis of pyr.olidines which can under.o synthetic manipulations to give [2.2.1 ]- and [3.2.1 ]-azabicycles.

When Elizabethan＇s wer. tr.ined to r.ad and wr.te, the handwr.ting they fir.t lear.ed was ＂Secr.tar.＂（or.＂Secr.tar.al＂） hand, r.flecting the style used by monks and scr.bes well back into the Middle Ages. Only in the mid-1500s did an alter.ative hand called ＂Italic＂（or.＂Italianate＂） slowly begin to be adopted as a second hand, r.flecting handwr.ting used on the continent, and Italic was r.r.r.than Secr.tar. until well after.1600. Today, extant Elizabethan handwr.ting samples nor.ally show each per.on used both hand styles, and wher. only one hand is extant for.a given per.on, it is usually a Secr.tar. hand. thus, it＇s a sur.r.se that two noblemen, the gr.at William Cecil, Lor. Bur.hley, and his son-in-law Edwar. DeVer., the 17th Ear. of Oxfor., ar. each assumed to have only Italic hand samples among their.voluminous collections of handwr.ting. Did they not lear. and never.use Secr.tar. hands, or.is it that any Secr.tar. hands in their.documents ar. simply pr.sumed to be wr.tten by cler.s？ this ar.icle begins with questioning whether.the two men r.ally wer. limited to Italic hands, fmds a few plausible Secr.tar. hand samples for.one of them （possibly for.both）, r.constr.cts a hypothetical Italic alphabet for.him, and nominates many candidate manuscr.pts （MSS, singular.MS） for.having been wr.tten or.contr.buted to by him, some of which may be r.levant to Shakespear. studies. Other.subjects touched on ar. calligr.phy, a cler. （or.amanuensis）, and gr.ffe de notair. （liter.lly a ＂notar.＇s scr.tch＂, or.identifying scr.bble）.

r.cognition of DNA damage is a cr.tical step for.DNA damage-mediated cellular.r.sponse. XPC is an impor.ant DNA damage r.cognition pr.tein involved in nucleotide excision r.pair.(NEr.. We have studied the XPC pr.tein in cisplatin DNA damaging tr.atment-mediated cellular.r.sponse. Compar.son of the micr.ar.ay data fr.m both nor.al and XPC-defective human fibr.blasts identified 861 XPC-r.sponsive genes in the cisplatin tr.atment (with minimum fold change≥1.5). the cell cycle and cell pr.lifer.tion-r.lated genes ar. the most affected genes by the XPC defect in the tr.atment. Many other.cellular.function genes, especially the DNA r.pair.and signal tr.nsduction-r.lated genes, wer. also affected by the XPC defect in the tr.atment. To validate the micr.ar.ay data, the tr.nscr.ption levels of some micr.ar.ay-identified genes wer. also deter.ined by an r.-PCr.based r.al time PCr.assay. the r.al time PCr.r.sults ar. consistent with the micr.ar.ay data for.most of the tested genes, indicating the r.liability of th

Pr.sentations at a session of the 13 th Congr.ss of the Inter.ational Society for.Ethnobiology ( ISE,May 2012) pr.vided a global over.iew of'maintaining r.sour.es for.tr.ditional medicine'. Two themes r.ceived special attention,tr.nsmission of tr.ditional medical knowledge and conser.ation of medicinal plants. the consensus at the well-attended session was that tr.ditional medicine can play a useful r.le in pr.mar. healthcar.,including for.chr.nic complaints and spir.tual pr.blems. However.the use of tr.ditional medicine is declining in many places. Some pr.ctical effor.s at maintaining r.sour.es for.tr.ditional medicine ar. descr.bed. A case study for.Buganda ( Uganda) , given in gr.ater.detail,shows that pr.gr.ss in maintaining r.sour.es for.tr.ditional medicine can be impeded by for.es not dir.ctly r.lated to its intr.nsic mer.ts. the value of making effor.s to maintain r.sour.es for.tr.ditional medicine is discussed in r.lation to its contr.bution to biocultur.l conser.ation,much needed today to counter.balance the homogenising and ecologically destabilising influences of globalisation.

运用计算机和GIS技术 ,以三峡库区秭归县为例 ,建立了区域土壤资源与生态环境数据库 (r.EDBS)。该系统采用Ar./INFOGIS管理空间数据 ,VisualFoxPr.管理属性数据库 ,二者通过公共标识码 (ID)共享数据 ;并运用计算机程序语言 (C + + )开发了DEM、层次分析、模糊数学和综合环境指数等应用模型建立模型子库 ;将空间数据库、属性数据库和应用模型库通过内部和外部接口集成一起 ,对秭归县的生态环境质量进行了定量评价。结果表明 :秭归县生态环境质量较好的乡镇分布在西部和南部的山区 ,且具有覆盖度高、人口密度低、降雨量充沛等特点 ;生态环境质量较差的乡镇分布在沿江地区 ,主要存在人口密度大、覆盖率较低、降雨相对不足、水土流失严重等问题。因此 ,为了实现秭归县土壤资源的可持续利用 ,必须根据区域生态特征 ,优化配置人口、资源与环境。
