Phototherapy lam.s are the m.st effective and safest in the treatm.nt of several m.dical treatm.nts such as bilirubin. They transfer radiant energy expressed by irradiance unit in W/m. into the skin specifically to achieve a therapeutic reduction in the bilirubin concentration in the blood. National Institute for Standards （NIS） in Egypt builds up a radiom.tric m.thod to en- sure the com.etence of phototherapy sources （lum.naire） to the standard international and national requirem.nts. Hence, NIS provides traceability to custom.r through unbroken chain of phototherapy radiom.ter calibrated as irradiance response in W/m.. Uncertainty m.del including all param.ters accom.anied with the m.asurem.nts is studied.

Objective::To investigate the effect of early versus late am.iotom. after induction of labor(IOL)with vaginally adm.nistered ***::This random.zed clinical trial was conducted at the Departm.nt of Obstetrics and Gynecology,m.noufia University,from.m.y 2019 to m.rch 2020,and included 120 nulliparous wom.n at term.≥37 weeks’gestation)undergoing ***-generated random.zation was used to random.ze the participants into either the early am.iotom. group(3 cm.cervical dilatation;n=60)or the late am.iotom. group(7 cm.cervical dilatation;n=60).All participants received m.soprostol(25μg)vaginally to induce *** prim.ry outcom. was the induction-to-delivery interval,defined as the tim. from.the initiation of IOL to the tim. of ***::Wom.n in the early am.iotom. group had a shorter duration of labor(12.60±5.36 h)than those in the late am.iotom. group(16.67±7.26 h).The m.an tim. from.rupture of the fetal m.m.rane to delivery was significantly shorter in the late(2.51±0.36 h)than in the early am.iotom. group(3.1±0.89 h).There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in term. of m.ternal com.lications(fever,nausea,vom.ting,and uterine hyperstim.lation)or neonatal com.lications(m.conium.stained liquor,APGAR scorem.n,and neonatal intensive care unit adm.ssion).Conclusions::IOL using vaginally adm.nistered m.soprostol followed by early am.iotom. was accom.anied by a shorter duration of labor and decreased use of *** was no significant difference between the early and late am.iotom. groups in term. of the rate of cesarean section or m.ternal and neonatal com.lications.

In the present work, recalibration of the National Institute for Standards （NIS, Egypt） working standard lam.s from.Osram.Inc. and their associated expanded uncertainty budget were done. A set-up com.osed of an integrating sphere, a standard photom.ter and a group of five lum.nous flux standard lam.s ranged from.25 to 200 W calibrated and traceable to the National Physical Laboratory （NPL, UK） is used to m.asure and recalibrate the total lum.nous flux for these five working standard lam.s. After recalibration, NIS （Egypt） m.intains the national scales for lum.nous flux in lum.n.

This paper describes the synthesis of a new series of trifluorom.thylpyrim.dine and their potential antim.crobial evaluation. We have prepared 10 novel pyrim.dine derivatives in high yields and short reaction tim. using m.crowave irradiation. Com.ounds 4a,b and 6a,b showed good antim.crobial activity against Gram.positive bacteria; Clostridium.perfringens, Bacillus pum.lus and Enterococcusfaecalis. These com.ounds were found to be the m.st potent antim.crobials com.ared to am.icillin, tetracycline, and streptom.cin that showed no activity against Enterococcusfaecalis. Com.ounds 4a,b and 6a,b exhibited great antim.crobial potency against all tested bacteria strains at a m.C of 3.125-100 μg/m. whereas only 4a showed the antim.crobial activity against Gram.negative bacteria Klebsiella pneum.nia with a m.C value 12.5 pg/m..

In this study,a new algorithm.of fractional beta chaotic m.ps is proposed to generate chaotic sequences for im.ge *** proposed technique generates m.lti random.sequences by shuffling the im.ge pixel *** technique is used to blur the pixels connecting the input and encrypted im.ges and to increase the attack *** proposed algorithm.m.kes the encryption process sophisticated by using fractional chaotic m.ps,which hold the properties of *** fractional beta sequences are utilized to alter the im.ge pixels to decryption *** experim.ntal results proved that the proposed im.ge encryption algorithm.successfully encrypted and decrypted the im.ges with the sam. *** output findings indicate that our proposed algorithm.has good entropy and low correlation *** translates to enhanced security against different attacks.A m.TLAB program.ing tool was used to im.lem.nt and assess the im.ge quality m.asures.A com.arison with other im.ge encryption techniques regarding the visual inspection and signal-to-noise ratio is provided.

Introduction: Hem.rrhoids are a frequent and fam.liar concern of patients in the general practice and surgery settings. Colonoscopy is both diagnostic and therapeutic. In Qatar, There are little data available about coincidental pathology in elderly patients with hem.rrhoids. Objective: To assess the outcom. of colonoscopy in m.nagem.nt patients with hem.rrhoidal disease and average-risk for colorectal cancer and its clinical significance. m.thod: A retrospective study of 200 patients with hem.rrhoids with average risk colorectal cancer (anal bleeding and anal sym.tom.) and subjected to colonoscopic exam.nation at Al Khor hospital’s endoscopy unit during the period from.m.y 2005 till August 2012. Patients below 50 years and high risk patients for colorectal cancer;with the following alarm.signs: Positive personal history of colorectal neoplasm. or Inflam.atory Bowel Disease (IBD), positive first degree fam.ly history of colorectal neoplasm., history of altered bowel habits, recent significant weight loss, presence of iron deficiency anem.a, and history of previous colonoscopy were excluded. All significant endoscopic co-findings (diverticuli, polyps, cancer, angiodysplasia and varices, or colitis) were recorded. Results: There were 200 patients;134 m.le, 66 fem.le;m.an patient age was 56.3 years (range, 50 to 82 years), who m.t the eligibility criteria. 200 colonoscopies were perform.d. Evaluation of these patients revealed Polyps in 16 patients (13 benign and 3 m.lignant), seven m.lignant lesions(one annular lesion and 6 fungating m.sses), Ulcerative colitis in 5 patients, no crohn’s disease, diverticular disease in 4 patients, no Vascular m.lform.tions, bleeding piles in 3 patients controlled by injection, and 65.5% of patients were free from.any additional pathology. Colonoscopy changed the treatm.nt plan in 58 patients (29%). No com.lications were encountered. In this study, Pm.0 and Pm..5 were m.asured in seven sites representing different activities (the sam. sites of EEAA m.nitoring stations) in addition to eighth site that used as a background. All results were higher than AQLs of EEAA, US/EPA, and EC although Pm.0 and Pm..5 are considered to be a direct cause of cardiovascular diseases as well as lead to death and it m.y be a reason for a num.er of chest diseases in short-term.as well as long-term. Results were com.ared to the Air Quality Forecast system.which developed by EEAA and AQI which created by US/EPA was calculated for som. Pm.0 and Pm..5. Probable potential anthropogenic sources for such high concentrations of Pm.included unpaved roads, indiscrim.nate dem.lition and construction work, industrial activities, and solid wastes. This study resulted in a num.er of suggestions and recom.endations include: 1) Im.lem.ntation of integrated ISO 26000 and ISO 14001, 2) EIm./EEAA m.nitoring stations need restructuring plan to cover all areas in Alexandria, 3) EIm./EEAA m.st be supported with Pm..5 m.nitors, 4) Pm.control system. m.st be used in all industrial activities to reduce Pm.pollution from.the source, 5) AQL of Pm..5 in the am.ient environm.nt m.st be reduced and it m.st be included in the working environm.nt param.ters, 6) Environm.ntal law m.st be applied strictly, and 7) m.ltidisciplinary co-operation especially between environm.nt and public health specialists m.st be increased.

Background: Blood loss is one of the im.ortant com.lications during cesarean section (CS). Previous reports have shown that m.soprostol is effective in reducing blood loss during and after CS. However, the optim.m.tim. for its adm.nistration to decrease the am.unt of PPH is still under discussion. Objective: To com.are the effect of preoperative and postoperative adm.nistration of sublingual m.soprostol (400 μg) in reducing the am.unt of blood loss during and 24 hours after CS. Setting: Obstetrics and Gynecology Departm.nt, Faculty of m.dicine, Assiut University, Assiut, Egypt, between January 2017 and July 2018. Study Design: A prospective, random.zed clinical trial. m.thods: Four-hundred thirty wom.n fulfilling the inclusions criteria: elective lower segm.nt CS at term.(≥37 weeks) with norm.l fetal heart tracing who accepted to participate in the study. Patients were divided into two groups;Patients assigned to group 1 received 400 μg sublingual m.soprostol im.ediately after urinary catheterization and before skin incision, while patients assigned to group 2 received sublingual m.soprostol im.ediately after skin closure. The prim.ry outcom. was the estim.tion of intraoperative and postoperative blood loss for 24 hours. Results: There was a significant reduction in the intraoperative blood loss in group 1 com.ared with group 2 (403.51 ± 72.99 vs. 460.99 ± 74.66 m., respectively). Also, there was a significant reduction in postoperative blood loss in group 1 com.ared with group 2 with a statistical significance (169.45 ± 12.03 vs. 195.77 ± 13.34 m., respectively). Postoperative hem.globin and Hem.tocrit values were significantly higher in group 1 com.ared with group 2. Conclusions: Preoperative adm.nistration of sublingual m.soprostol (400 μg) during CS is better than postoperative adm.nistration as it is associated with a reduction in the am.unt of intraoperative and postoperative blood loss and drop in hem.globin level.
