Precautions in caudate lobe resection: Report of 11 cases

aiM： To find the precautions against the safety in caudate lobe resection. METHODS： The clinical data obtained from 11 cases of primary liver cancer in caudate lobe who received hepatectomy successfully were retrospectively analyzed. Four safe procedures were used in resection of primary liver cancer in caudate lobe：（1） selection of appropriate skin incision to obtain excellent exposure of operative field; （2） adequate mobilization of the liver to allow the liver to be displaced upwards to the left or to the right; （3） preparatory placement of tapes for total hepatic vascular exclusion, so that this procedure could be used to control the fatal bleeding of the liver when necessary; （4） selection of the ideal route for hepatectomy based on the condition of the tumor and the combined removal of multiple lobes if necessary. Among the 11 cases, simple occlusion of vessels of porta hepatis was used in caudate Iobectomy for 6 cases, while in the other cases, the vessels were intermittently occluded several times or total hepatic vascular isolation was used in the caudate Iobectomy. Combined partial right hepatectomy was done for 3 cases, combined left lateral Iobectomy for 2 cases and caudate Iobectomy alone for 6 cases. RESULTS： Operation was successful for all the 11 cases. Intermittent inflow occlusion was performed for all patients for 15 min at 5-min intervals. Blockade was performed twice in 3 patients and total hepatic vascular exclusion was performed in one of the three patients. Blockade was performed three times in one patient, including a total hepatic vascular exclusion. Total hepatic vascular exclusion was performed only in one patient. The mean blood loss was 300 mL. Ascites and pleural effusion occurred in 4 patients, jaundice in 1 patient. Six patients died of tumor recurrence in 6, 11, 12, 13, 15, 19 mo after operation, respectively. The other 5 patients have survived more than 16 mo since the operation. CONCLUSION： Caudate Iobectomy for liver cance

Characteristic Mode Analysis for Thin Dielectric Sheets with Alternative Surface Integral Equation

When the dielectric sheet is electrically thin in the normal direction, the conventional volume integral equation(VIE) can be approximately simplified to the surface one. On this basis, a novel surface integral equation-based formulation is presented for analyzing characteristic mode(CM) of thin dielectric sheets. The resultant CMs are expressed with tangential and normal components of electric volume currents, which are more intuitive than the conventional VIE-based one. Due to the application of volume equivalence principle, the proposed formulation is immune to non-physical modes. The CMs of typical thin dielectric bodies, including the dielectric substrate and radome, are analyzed to show that the proposed formulation is computationally efficient with encouraging accuracy.

Structural Equation and Mei Conserved Quantity of Mei Symmetry for Appell Equations in Holonomic Systems with Unilateral Constraints

Structural equation and Mei conserved quantity of Mei symmetry for Appell equations in holonomic systems with unilateral constraints are investigated. Appell equations and differential equations of motion for holonomie mechanic systems with unilateral constraints axe established. The definition and the criterion of Mei symmetry for Appell equations in holonomic systems with unilateral constraints under the infinitesimal transformations of groups axe also given. The expressions of the structural equation and Mei conserved quantity of Mei symmetry for Appell equations in holonomic systems with unilateral constraints expressed by Appell functions are obtained. An example is given to illustrate the application of the results.

The community species abundance and diversity declined with bamboo invasion had been widely reported ***,the physiological strategies used during root competition between native species and invasive bamboo are poorly *** clarify the mechanisms underlying such strategies,the stoichiometric dynamics and homeostasis of nitrogen,phosphorus,organic carbon in root orders of Phyllostachys edulis(I du[=Ⅰ-Pe,years 1 and 2];Ⅱdu[=Ⅱ-Pe,years 3 and 4]),Cunninghamia lanceolata in transition and pure forests were *** increasing intensity of bamboo invasion,N,P,and C content of *** root orders declined,N and P content in *** rhizome orders declined,while C increased,the stoichiometric ratios in mixed forest interface mainly increased,and the stoichiometric differences within native and invasive species root orders ***,the stoichiometric homeostasis index(H)of elements in the same root order and even the same elements in different root orders were not consistent.H of most root orders(except some HP)was greater than 4,the H ranked order wasⅠ-Pe>Cl>Ⅱ-Pe in mixed interfaces,and the N:P ratio of most species root orders was greater than 16,despite being affected by *** research concluded that the bamboo invasion narrows stoichiometric differences within root orders,and the juvenile bamboo rhizome has a stronger capacity for homeostatic regulation than in adult bamboo and ***,which is a key determinant of bamboo invasion success.

Research on stateful public key based secure data aggregation model for wireless sensor networks

Data aggregation technology reduces traffic overhead of wireless sensor network and extends effective working time of the network,yet continued operation of wireless sensor networks increases the probability of aggregation nodes being captured and probability of aggregated data being *** it will seriously affect the security performance of the network. For network security issues,a stateful public key based SDAM( secure data aggregation model) is proposed for wireless sensor networks( WSNs),which employs a new stateful public key encryption to provide efficient end-to-end security. Moreover,the security aggregation model will not impose any bound on the aggregation function property,so as to realize the low cost and high security level at the same time.

Propagation form of internal cracks induced by continuous casting soft reduction and control strategy for internal quality

The propagation form of internal cracks induced by continuous casting soft reduction and the control strategy for enhancing the internal quality of 45 steel through industrial trials and a three-dimensional flow-heat transfer-solidification coupling model were *** results showed that the internal cracks induced by soft reduction exhibited a characteristic of being"coarse in the middle and fine at both ends",and displayed an elliptical arc distribution on the loose side of the strand cross *** cracks originated within the brittle temperature range and propagated inward to the liquid impenetrable temperature and outward to the zero ductility temperature or *** control strategy for enhancing the internal quality of the 45 steel strand through soft reduction is to adjust the casting speed or the reduction zone appropriately,ensuring that the central solid fraction of the reduction zone falls within the range of *** this point,a reasonable reduction amount is allocated to eliminate the center shrinkage cavities and center segregation,even if it results in minor reduction-induced cracks.

BACKGROUND An intradermal nevus is a common skin tumour,and the classical method of removal has a risk of recurrence and *** is a challenge for dermatologists to treat eyebrow intradermal nevi quickly and *** study focused on investigating the efficacy and safety of shearing combined with electrocautery and curettage in the treatment of eyebrow intradermal *** SUMMARY We describe two adult patients with eyebrow intradermal nevi treated by shearing combined with electrocautery and *** patients were followed up regularly after *** follow-up,no recurrence of eyebrow intradermal nevus and no obvious scars or hypopigmentation were found in either *** results indicated that shearing combined with electrocautery and curettage could remove eyebrow intradermal nevus without side effects and confirmed the efficacy and safety of this modality for treating these skin *** Shearing combined with electrocautery and curettage has superior merits,including simple operation,good cosmetic effects,and high patient satisfaction,presenting great application potential for treating intracutaneous nevus.

Oxygen-incorporated MoS_(2) catalyst for remarkable enhancing piezocatalytic H_(2) evolution and degradation of organic pollutant

A highly efficient piezocatalyst of oxygen-incorporated Mo S_(2)(O-Mo S_(2)) was designed and successfully synthesized via facile modulation of hydrothermal process temperature ***,a superior piezocatalytic H_(2) evolution rate of 46.1μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1)in pure water and921.0μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1)in methanol solution is obtained on optimal O-MoS_(2)-180 (with a hydrothermal process temperature of 180℃),outperforming pristine Mo S_(2)and most of the reported other ***,piezocatalytic activity of O-MoS_(2) toward the degradation of organic pollutants depends on hydrothermal *** suitable temperature of O-Mo S_(2)-180 presents dramatically excellent piezocatalytic capacity compared with the pristine MoS_(2) for degradation of methylene blue (MB) *** reaction rate constant of O-Mo S_(2)-180 reaches to 54.6×10^(-3)min^(-1),which is nearly 18 and 4-folds in contrast with pristine MoS_(2) and O-Mo S_(2)-140 (with a hydrothermal process temperature of 140℃),***,it also manifests that O-MoS_(2)-180 endows relatively high degradation efficiency (84.6%within30 min) and excellent ***,it is also demonstrated that optimal O-MoS_(2) can dramatically promote charge carriers transport and ***,our theoretical calculation results suggest that the oxygenincorporated can modulate the surface electronic state,enhance active sites as well as optimize the hydrogen adsorption Gibbs free energy of MoS_(2),thus extremely boosting piezocatalytic ***,an innovative piezocatalytic mechanism is proposed to reveal and expound the relationship between piezocatalytic property and oxygen-incorporated role.
