Two vic-dioxime ligands （LxH2） containing morpholine group have been synthesized from 4-[2-（dimethylaminoethyl）] morpholine with anti-phenylchloroglyoxime or anti-monochloroglyoxime in absolute THF at -15 ℃. Reaction of two vic-dioxime ligands with MCl2·nH2O （M： Ni, Cu or Co and n=2 or 6） salts in 1 ： 2 molar ratio afforded metal complexes of type [M（LxH）2] or [M（LxH）2·2H2O]. All of metal complexes are non-electrolytes as shown by their molar conductivities （Am） in DMF （dimethyl formamide） at 10^-3 mol·L^-1. Structures of the ligands and metal complexes have been solved by elemental analyses, FT-IR, UV-Vis, ^1H NMR and ^13C NMR, magnetic susceptibility measurements, molar conductivity measurements. Furthermore, redox properties of the metal complexes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry.

Mediterranean region is identified as a primary hot-spot for climate change due to the expected temperature and rainfall *** the potential impacts of climate change on the hydrology in these regions is an important task to develop long-term water management *** aim of this study was to quantify the potential impacts of the climate changes on local hydrological quantities at the Goksu Watershed at the Eastern Mediterranean,Turkey as a case study.A set of Representative Concentration Pathways(RCP)scenarios were used as drivers for the conceptual hydrological model J2000 to investigate how the hydrological system and the underlying processes would respond to projected future climate *** model was implemented to simulate daily hydrological quantities including runoff generation,Actual Evapotranspiration(AET)and soil-water balance for present(2005–2015)and future(up to 2100).The results indicated an increase of both precipitation and runoff throughout the region from January to *** region showed a strong seasonally dependent runoff regime with higher flows during winter and spring and lower flows in summer and *** study provides a comparative methodology to include meteorological-hydrological modelling integration that can be feasible to assess the climate change impacts in mountainous regions.

Fires have a noteworthy role to play with regards to ecological and environmental losses in Mediterranean forests. In addition to ecological impacts, fire may create economic, social as well as cultural changes. The detection of fire-scars has critical importance to help decrease *** the present study, forest fires recorded in Antalya, one of the most important ecological and tourist regions within the Western Mediterranean, were clustered and mapped. Since the dominant factors and devastation records derived from the cases had nominal-scaled properties, a categorical databased nonparametric clustering algorithm was performed in this evaluation. The proposed tool, k-modes algorithm,uses modes instead of means for clustering. The algorithm may be implemented quickly and does not make distributional assumptions concerning the available data. It uses a frequency-based method to update the modes of the *** derived modes from the maps may be useful information for local authorities to manage. In conclusion, the proposed nonparametric clustering procedure may be employed to build a decision-support system to monitor and identify fire activities and to enhance fire management efficiency.

Electrical and dielectric properties of Al/p-Si and Al/perylene/p-Si type diodes in a wide frequency range

The perylene （C20H12） layer effect on the electrical and dielectric properties of Al/p-Si （MS） and Al/perylene/p-Si （MPS） diodes have been investigated and compared in the frequency range of 0.7 kHz-2 MHz. Experimental results show that C-V characteristics give an anomalous peak for two structures at low frequencies due to interface states （Nss） and series resistance （Rs）. The increases in C and G/o3 at low frequencies confirm that the charges at interface can easily follow an ac signal and yield excess capacitance and conductance. The frequency-dependent dielectric constant （er） and dielectric loss （e＇） are subtracted using C and G/co data at 1.5 V. The eI and e＂ values are found to be strongly dependent on frequency and voltage, and their large values at low frequencies can be attributed to the excess polarization coming from charges at traps. Plots of ln（o＇ac）-ln（w） for two structures have two linear regions, with slopes of 0.369 and 1.166 for MS, and of 0.077 and 1.061 for MPS, respectively. From the C 2-V characteristics, the doping acceptor atom concentration （NA） and barrier height （,~） for Schottky barrier diodes （SBDs） 1.303 ~ 1015 cm-3, and 1.10 and I. 13 eV, respectively. of MS and MPS types are also obtained to be 1.484 ~ 1015

An experimental study was conducted to investigate the effects of relative rotation direction on the wake interferences among two tandemwind turbines *** the oncoming flow conditions were kept in constant during the experiments,turbine power outputs,wind loads acting on the turbines,and wake characteristics behind the turbines were compared quantitatively with turbine models in either co-rotating or counter-rotating *** measurement results reveal that the turbines in counter-rotating would harvest more wind energy from the same oncoming wind,compared with the co-rotating *** the recovery of the streamwise velocity deficits in the wake flows was found to be almost identical with the turbines operated in either co-rotating or counter-rotating,the significant azimuthal velocity generated in the wake flow behind the upstream turbine is believed to be the reason why the counter-rotating turbines would have a better power production *** the azimuthal flow velocity in the wake flow was found to decrease monotonically with the increasing downstream distance,the benefits of the counter-rotating configuration were found to decrease gradually as the spacing between the tandem turbines *** the counter-rotating downstream turbine was found to produce up to 20%more power compared with that of co-rotating configuration with the turbine spacing being about 0.7D,the advantage was found to become almost negligible when the turbine spacing becomes greater than *** suggests that the counter-rotating configuration design would be more beneficial to turbines in onshore wind farms due to the smaller turbine spacing(i.e.,~3 rotor diameters for onshore wind farms vs.~7 rotor diameters for offshore wind farms in the prevailing wind direction),especially for those turbines sited over complex terrains with the turbine spacing only about 1–2 rotor diameters.

Replication is an approach often used to speed up the execution of queries submitted to a large dataset.A compile-time/run-time approach is presented for minimizing the response time of 2-dimensional range when a distributed replica of a dataset *** aim is to partition the query payload(and its range) into subsets and distribute those to the replica nodes in a way that minimizes a client's response ***,since query size and distribution characteristics of data(data dense/sparse regions) in varying ranges are not known a priori,performing efficient load balancing and parallel processing over the unpredictable workload is difficult.A technique based on the creation and manipulation of dynamic spatial indexes for query payload estimation in distributed queries was *** effectiveness of this technique was demonstrated on queries for analysis of archived earthquake-generated seismic data records.

Chemically modified clay(CMC) was used as an adsorbent for the removal of Astrazon Golden Yellow 7GL(AGY-7GL), which is a basic dye from wastewater. For this purpose, the chemically modified clay was first characterized by determining zero point of charge(p Hzpc), and using BET, SEM and FTIR. Then effects of operational parameters on adsorption of AGY-7GL were studied in a batch system. The effect of various parameters such as contact time(0-180 min), pH(2-8), temperature(293-323 K), CMC concentration(0.075-0.5 mg/L) and initial AGY-7GL concentration(75-250 mg/L) were investigated on the adsorption efficiency and capacity adsorption of CMC for the removal of AGY-7GL. Thermodynamic and kinetic parameters were calculated from the results of the adsorption experiment. The evaluation of kinetic models shows that this data best fits the pseudo-second-order model. It is determined that the adsorption equilibrium data works very well with the nonlinear Freundlich isotherm model. Thermodynamic parameters such as ?H^0(19.0 k J/mol), ?G^0(-28.8 k J/mol) and ?S^0(0.148 k J/mol) were also determined. According to the experimental results, it is concluded that CMC could be used as an alternative low cost potential adsorbent for the removal of AGY-7GL from wastewater.
