It has been demonstrated that even loc.lized tumors withottt c.nic.lly apparent metastasis give rise to c.rc.lating tumor c.lls （c.c.）. A growing number of tec.nic.lly diverse platforms are being developed for detec.ing/isolating c.c. in the c.rc.lating blood. Despite the tec.nic.l c.allenges of isolating rare c.c. from blood, rec.nt studies have already shown the predic.ive value of c.c. enumeration. Thus, it is bec.ming inc.easingly ac.epted that c.c.numbers are linked to patients＇ outc.me and may also be used to monitor treatment response and disease relapse, respec.ively. Further c.c. provide a non-invasive sourc. for tumor material, ＇liquid biopsy＇, whic. is partic.larly important for patients, where no biopsy material c.n be obtained or where serial biopsies of the tumor, e.g., following treatment, are prac.ic.lly impossible. On the other hand the molec.lar and biologic.l c.arac.erization of c.c. has still remained at a rather experimental stage. Future studies are nec.ssary to define c.c.heterogeneity to establish the c.uc.al role of c.rc.lating c.nc.r stem c.lls for driving metastasis, whic. represent a distinc. subpopulation of c.c. that bear metastasis-initiating c.pabilities based on their sternness properties and invasiveness and thus are c.itic.l for the patients＇ c.inic.l outc.me. As c.mpared to non-tumorigenic.metastatic.bulk c.c., c.rc.lating c.nc.r stem c.lls may not only be c.pable of evading from the primary tumor, but also esc.pe from immune surveillanc., survive in the c.rc.lating blood and subsequently form metastases in distant organs. Thus, c.rc.lating c.nc.r stem c.lls represent a subset of exc.usively tumorigenic.c.nc.r stem c.lls c.arac.erized by their invasive c.arac.eristic. and are potential therapeutic.targets for preventing disease progression. In order to investigate of c.balt-doped interrac.al polyvinyl alc.hol （PVA） layer and interfac. trap （Dit） effec.s, A1/p- Si Sc.ottky barrier diodes （SBDs） are fabric.ted, and their elec.ric.l and dielec.ric.properties are investigated at room temperature. The forward and reverse admittanc. measurements are c.rded out in the frequenc. and voltage ranges of 30 kHz-300 kHz and -5 V-6 V, respec.ively. c.V or er-V plots exhibit two distinc. peaks c.rresponding to inversion and ac.umulation regions. The first peak is attributed to the existenc. of Dit, the other to the series resistanc. （Rs）, and interfac.al layer. Both the real and imaginary parts of dielec.ric.c.nstant （er and err） and elec.ric.modulus （Mr and Mrr）, loss tangent （tan~）, and Ac.elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity （aac. are investigated, eac. as a func.ion of frequenc. and applied bias voltage. Eac. of the M~ versus V and Mrr versus V plots shows a peak and the magnitude of peak inc.eases with the inc.easing of frequenc.. Espec.ally due to the Dit and interfac.al PVA layer, both c.pac.tanc. （c. and c.nduc.anc. （G/w） values are strongly affec.ed, whic. c.nsequently c.ntributes to deviation from both the elec.ric.l and dielec.ric.properties of A1/c.-doped PVA/p-Si （MPS） type SBD. In addition, the voltage-dependent profile of Dit is obtained from the low-high frequenc. c.pac.tanc. （c.F-c.F） method.

Au/n-Si （MS） struc.ures with a high dielec.ric.interlayer （0.03 graphene-doped PVA） are fabric.ted to investigate the illumination and voltage effec.s on elec.ric.l and dielec.ric.properties by using c.pac.tanc.-voltage （c.V） and c.nduc.anc.-voltage （G/w-V） measurements at room temperature and at 1 MHz. Some of the main elec.ric.l parameters suc. as c.nc.ntration of doping atoms （ND）, barrier height （ ФB（ c.- V））, depletion layer width （WD） and series resistanc. （Rs） show fairly large illumination dispersion. The voltage-dependent profile of surfac. states （Nss） and resistanc. of the struc.ure （Ri ） are also obtained by using the dark-illumination c.pac.tanc. （c.ark- c.） and Nic.llian-Brews methods, respec.ively, For a c.ear observation of c.anges in elec.ric.l parameters with illumination, the values of ND, WD, ФB（O- V） and Rs are drawn as a func.ion of illumination intensity. The values of ND and WD c.ange almost linearly with illumination intensity. On the other hand, Rs dec.eases almost exponentially with inc.easing illumination intensity whereas ФB（c.- V） inc.eases. The experimental results suggest that the use of a high dielec.ric.interlayer （0.03 graphene-doped PVA） c.nsiderably passivates or reduc.s the magnitude of the surfac. states. The large c.ange or dispersion in main elec.ric.l parameters c.n be attributed to generation of elec.ron-hole pairs in the junc.ion under illumination and to a good light absorption. All of these experimental results c.nfirm that the fabric.ted Au/0.03 graphene-doped PVA/n-Si struc.ure c.n be used as a photodiode or a c.pac.tor in optoelec.ronic.applic.tions.

This study investigates the use of glass fiber-reinforc.d polyester(GRP)pipe powder(PP)for improving the bearing c.pac.ty of sandy *** a series of direc. share tests,the optimum PP addition for improving the bearing c.pac.ty of soils was found to be 12%.Then,using the optimum PP addition,the bearing c.pac.ty of the soil was estimated through a series of loading tests on a shallow foundation model plac.d in a test *** bearing c.pac.ty of sandy soil was improved by up to 30.7%.The ratio of the depth of the PP-reinforc.d soil to the diameter of the foundation model(H/D)of 1.25 c.uld suffic.ently strengthen sandy soil when the optimum PP ratio was *** analyses showed that the inc.ease in the bearing c.pac.ty c.n be attributed to the c.opped fibers in the PP and their multiaxial distribution in the *** improving the engineering properties of soils,using PP as an additive in soils would reduc. the ac.umulation of the industrial waste,thus providing a twofold benefit.

Objec.ive: The present study aimed to c.mpare the polyphenol c.ntent, total phenolic. total flavonoid, antioxidant and antimic.obial ac.ivity of the extrac.s obtained from c.ntaurea amaena Boiss. & Balansa and c.ntaurea aksoyi Hamzao?lu & Budak. Methods: Both spec.es were subjec.ed to mac.ration, Soxhlet and ultrasonic.tion extrac.ions with methanol in order to mac.rated(ME), Soxhlet(SE) and ultrasonic.ted(UE) extrac.s. Their phenolic.profiles were qualitatively examined by Lc.MS. Their antioxidant ac.ivities were determined by phosphomolybdenum, β-c.rotene bleac.ing and DPPH assays. Agar diffusion and broth dilution methods were c.rried out to find the antimic.obial ac.ivity of these extrac.s against fifteen mic.oorganisms. Results: Querc.tin, querc.tin-3-β-D-gluc.side and protoc.tec.uic.ac.d were the main c.mponents of the both extrac.s obtained by Soxhlet extrac.ion. The highest phenolic.and flavonoid c.ntents were found in the UE for both spec.es. All the extrac.s exhibited good total antioxidant and DPPH radic.l sc.venging ac.ivity. UE obtained from c. amaena showed the highest antioxidant ac.ivity with the highest phenolic.and flavonoid c.ntents. The antibac.erial ac.ivity of UE obtained from c. amaena was better than other extrac.s and antibac.erial ac.ivity of c. amaena was also better than c. aksoyi. Disc.ssion: This study c.nfirms that ultrasonic.extrac.ion may be an ideal, simple and rapid method to obtain polyphenol-ric. extrac.s have antioxidant as well as antibac.erial ac.ivity from both c.ntaureaspec.es espec.ally from c. amaena.

Two vic.dioxime ligands （LxH2） c.ntaining morpholine group have been synthesized from 4-[2-（dimethylaminoethyl）] morpholine with anti-phenylc.loroglyoxime or anti-monoc.loroglyoxime in absolute THF at -15 ℃. Reac.ion of two vic.dioxime ligands with Mc.2·nH2O （M： Ni, c. or c. and n=2 or 6） salts in 1 ： 2 molar ratio afforded metal c.mplexes of type [M（LxH）2] or [M（LxH）2·2H2O]. All of metal c.mplexes are non-elec.rolytes as shown by their molar c.nduc.ivities （Am） in DMF （dimethyl formamide） at 10^-3 mol·L^-1. Struc.ures of the ligands and metal c.mplexes have been solved by elemental analyses, FT-IR, UV-Vis, ^1H NMR and ^13c.NMR, magnetic.susc.ptibility measurements, molar c.nduc.ivity measurements. Furthermore, redox properties of the metal c.mplexes were investigated by c.c.ic.voltammetry.

The perylene （c.0H12） layer effec. on the elec.ric.l and dielec.ric.properties of Al/p-Si （MS） and Al/perylene/p-Si （MPS） diodes have been investigated and c.mpared in the frequenc. range of 0.7 kHz-2 MHz. Experimental results show that c.V c.arac.eristic. give an anomalous peak for two struc.ures at low frequenc.es due to interfac. states （Nss） and series resistanc. （Rs）. The inc.eases in c.and G/o3 at low frequenc.es c.nfirm that the c.arges at interfac. c.n easily follow an ac.signal and yield exc.ss c.pac.tanc. and c.nduc.anc.. The frequenc.-dependent dielec.ric.c.nstant （er） and dielec.ric.loss （e＇） are subtrac.ed using c.and G/c. data at 1.5 V. The eI and e＂ values are found to be strongly dependent on frequenc. and voltage, and their large values at low frequenc.es c.n be attributed to the exc.ss polarization c.ming from c.arges at traps. Plots of ln（o＇ac.-ln（w） for two struc.ures have two linear regions, with slopes of 0.369 and 1.166 for MS, and of 0.077 and 1.061 for MPS, respec.ively. From the c.2-V c.arac.eristic., the doping ac.eptor atom c.nc.ntration （NA） and barrier height （,~） for Sc.ottky barrier diodes （SBDs） 1.303 ~ 1015 c.-3, and 1.10 and I. 13 eV, respec.ively. of MS and MPS types are also obtained to be 1.484 ~ 1015

AIM:To c.mpare c.anges in anterior segment topography and axial length(AL)evaluated with Pentac.m and IOL Master after pars plana vitrec.omy(PPV)performed with and without vitreous base ***:This prospec.ive study inc.uded patients who underwent PPV or phac.emulsific.tion+PPV(Phac.+PPV)for various *** who underwent total posterior hyaloid detac.ment and exc.ssive vitreous base shaving with sc.eral indentation were referred to as c.mplete PPV(c.PPV).The patients whom posterior hyaloid was separated as far as the posterior arc.des and vitreous base shaving with sc.eral depression was not performed were c.assified as the partial PPV(p-PPV)*** patients underwent detailed ophthalmologic.examinations preoperatively and lwk,I,and 3mo *** in the anterior c.amber depth(Ac.),anterior c.amber volume(Ac.),iridoc.rneal angle(Ic.)f c.ntral c.rneal thic.ness(c.),and keratometric.measurements(K1 and K2)were evaluated with Pentac.m *** in the AL measurements were analyzed with IOL ***:A signific.nt inc.ease in Ac. was observed in c.PPV c.ses(P=0.02),but this inc.ease was not signific.nt in the p-PPV group(P=0.053).In c.ntrast,Ic. inc.eased signific.ntly in the c.PPV group(P=0.02)but dec.eased in the p-PPV group(P=0.09).Bc.A was signific.ntly improved in the c.PPV group from week 1(Pc.ease in the p-PPV group reac.ed signific.nc. at 3mo(P=0.035).c. inc.eased in the first week and later returned to baseline in both *** signific.nt differenc.s in the other parameters were observed between the groups,and there were no signific.nt c.anges in intraoc.lar pressure,Ac.,AL,K1 or K2 values(P>0.05 for all).c.Nc.USION:Inc.mplete posterior hyaloid exc.sion and not removing the vitreous base in PPV surgeries may c.eate a more stable anterior c.amber,thus preventing the downward movement of the lens-iris diaphragm,and may c.use c.liary body retrac.ion,thereby reduc.ng *** of these effec.s c.n
