Mafic and felsic magmatism in the Wadi Kalalat area, south eastern Desert, egypt: mineralogy, geochemistry and geodynamic evolution during the Neoproterozoic in the Nubian shield

In the south eastern Desert of egypt,two contrasting types of magmatism(mafic and felsic) are recorded in the Wadi Kalalat area,and form the Gabal el Motaghiarat and Gabal batuga intrusions,*** two intrusions post-dates ophiolitic and arc associations represented by serpentinite and metagabbro-diorite,*** mafic intrusion has a basal ultramafic member represented by fresh peridotite,which is followed upward by olivine gabbro and anorthositic or *** mafic intrusion pertains to the Alaskan-type mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the Arabian-Nubian shield(ANs)being of tholeiitic nature and emplaced in a typical arc *** the other hand,the Gabal batuga intrusion comprises three varieties of fresh A-type granites of high K-calc alkaline nature,which is peraluminous and garnetbearing in parts.A narrow thermal aureole in the olivine gabbro of the mafic intrusion was developed due to the intrusion of the batuga *** results in the development of a hornfelsic melagabbro variety in which the composition changed from tholeiitic to a calc-alkaline composition due to the addition of s_(i)O_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),alkalis,lithosphile elements(LILes) such as Rb(70 ppm) and Y(28 ppm) from the felsic *** the thermal aureole,Rb amounts 2-8 ppm and Y lies in the range s believed that the Gabal batuga felsic intrusion started to emplace during the waning stage of an arc system,with transition from the pre-collisional(i.e.,arc setting) to post-collisional and within plate *** from which the Gabal batuga granites were fractionated is high-K calc-alkaline giving rise to a typical post-collisional A-type granite(A_(2)-subtype) indicating an origin from an underplating crustal ***,it is stressed here that the younger granites in the ANs are not exclusively post-collisional and within-plate but most likely they started to develop before closure of the arc *** possible source(s) of mafic magmas

In the pursuit of advancing imidazolium-based energetic ionic liquids (eILs),the current study is devoted to the synthesis and characterization of 1,3-dibutyl-imidazolium azide ([BBIm][N_(3)]),as a novel member in this ionic liquids *** chemical structure of this eIL was rigorously characterized and confirmed using FTIR spectroscopy,1D,and 2D-NMR *** thermal behavior assessment was conducted through DsC and TGA *** analysis revealed an endothermic glass transition at T_(g)=-61℃,followed by an exothermic degradation event at T_(onset)=311℃.similarly,TGA thermograms exhibited a one-stage decomposition process resulting in 100% mass loss of the ***,the short-term thermal stability of the azide eIL was investigated by combining the non-isothermal TGA data with the TAs,it-KAs,and VYA/Ce isoconversional kinetic ***,the Arrhenius parameters(e_(a)=154 kJ·mol^(-1),Log(A/s^(-1))=11.8) and the most probable reaction model g(a) were *** observed high decomposition temperatures and the significantly elevated activation energy affirm the enhanced thermal stability of the modified *** findings revealed that[BBIm][N_(3)]eIL can be a promising candidate for advanced energetic material application.

This paper introduces an Improved RC6(IRC6)cipher for data encryption based on data-dependent *** proposed scheme is designed with the potential of meeting the needs of the Advanced encryption standard(Aes).Four parameters are used to characterize the proposed *** parameters are the size of the word(w)in bits,the number of rounds(r),the length of the secret key(b)in bytes,and the size of the block(L)in *** main feature of IRC6 is the variable number of working registers instead of just four registers as in RC6,resulting in a variable block size for plaintext and *** IRC6 cipher is designed to improve the robustness against attacks by increasing the diffusion for each round and providing greater security with fewer *** effectiveness of the proposed IRC6 scheme is verified against theoretical *** proposed IRC6 scheme depends on full diffusion and confusion mechanisms regardless of the utilized block *** proposed IRC6 scheme saves 70%of the encryption time and 64%of the decryption time of *** simulation results prove that the IRC6 achieves a better encryption/decryption time compared to the ***,the proposed IRC6 is anticipated to fulfill the market needs and system security requirements.

baCKGROUND Childhood bronchial asthma(ba)is a chronic inflammatory respiratory *** conditions,including zinc deficiency,can affect such allergic *** To outline the difference in serum zinc levels between asthmatic children and healthy *** A cross-sectional study was carried out at Children’s Hospital,Cairo University,investigating serum zinc levels in children with ba(n=40)and healthy children(n=21).Other markers included serum ferritin,iron,hemoglobin(Hb),and immunoglobulin e(Ige)*** t-tests and Mann-Whinny tests were used for *** Kruskal-Wallis test was applied to compare serum ferritin and Ige levels with regard to asthma ***'s rank correlation was performed to explore the relationship between serum ferritin levels and both iron and Hb levels in asthmatic *** Children with ba had higher levels of zinc,yet the difference was not significant(P=0.115).serum ferritin and Ige levels were significantly higher in asthmatic children(P=0.006 and 0.001,respectively),yet their levels did not differ significantly by severity(P=0.623 and 0.126,respectively).There was a nonsignificant weak correlation between serum ferritin levels and both serum iron and Hb *** serum zinc levels do not seem to differ between asthmatic children and healthy *** ferritin levels may be a marker of asthma *** Ige levels are not markers of asthma severity.

The machining of hard-to-cut materials with a high degree of precision and high surface quality is one of the most critical considerations when fabricating various state-of-the-art engineered *** this investigation,a comprehensive three-dimensional model was developed and numerically simulated to predict kerf profiles and material removal rates while drilling the aluminum-7075-T6 aerospace *** profile and material removal prediction involved three stages:jet dynamic flow modeling,abrasive particle tracking,and erosion rate *** investigations were conducted to validate the developed *** results indicate that the jet dynamic characteristics and flow of abrasive particles alter the kerf profiles,where the top kerf diameter increases with increasing jet pressure and standoff *** kerf depth and hole aspect ratio increase with jet pressure,but decrease with standoff distance and machining *** profiles were characterized by progressive edge rounding and parabolic *** can be minimized by utilizing high jet pressure and small standoff *** material removal rate increases with increasing jet pressure,abrasive particle size,and exposure time,but decreases with increasing standoff distance.

Lymphocytic colitis: A clue to bacterial etiology

AIM： To find out the role of bacteria as a possible etiological factor in lymphocytic colitis. MeTHODs： Twenty patients with histopathological diagnosis of lymphocytic colitis and 10 normal controls were included in this study. Colonoscopic biopsies were obtained from three sites （hepatic and splenic flexures and rectosigmoid region）. each biopsy was divided into two parts. A fresh part was incubated on special cultures for bacterial growth. The other part was used for the preparation of histologic tissue sections that were examined for the presence of bacteria with the help of Giemsa stain. ResULTs： Culture of tissue biopsies revealed bacterial growth in 18 out of 20 patients with lymphocytic colitis mostly escherichia coil （14/18）, which was found in all rectosigmoid specimens （14/14）, but only in 8/14 and 6/14 of splenic and hepatic flexure specimens respectively. In two of these cases, e coli was associated with proteus. Proteus was found only in one case, Klebsiella in two cases, and staphylococcus aureus in one case. In the control group, only 2 out of 10 controls showed the growth of e coli in their biopsy cultures. Histopathology showed rod-shaped bacilli in the tissue sections of 12 out of 14 cases with positive e coli in their specimen＇s culture. None of the controls showed these bacteria in histopathological sections. CONCLUsION： This preliminary study reports an association between e coli and lymphocytic colitis, based on histological and culture observations. serotyping and molecular studies are in process to assess the role of e coli in the pathogenesis of lymphocytic colitis.

Influence of preceding crop and tillage system on forage yield and quality of selected summer grass and legume forage crops under arid conditions

Among the crop production factors,preceding crop and tillage management affect the sustainable use of soil resources and ultimately crop growth and *** study aimed at investigating the impact of preceding winter crops(grass or legume)and different tillage systems on forage yield,quality and nutritive values of three summer grass(sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte)and two legume forage crops(cowpea and guar)under arid *** results exhibited that growing forage crops after legumes(as berseem clover)produced the highest fresh and dry forage yields and quality attributes compared with grasses(as wheat)with the exception of crude fiber content,which was ***,tillage practices showed positive impact on forage yields and quality *** maximum forage yields and quality parameters were recorded under conventional tillage(CT)practice compared with reduced tillage(RT)and no-tillage(NT)*** the evaluated crops,the highest yields of fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein and total digestible nutrient were exhibited by grass forage crops(sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte),whereas the highest crude protein content and the digestible energy values were produced by legume forage crops(cowpea and guar).The maximum fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein,total digestible nutrient and digestible crude protein yields were produced by pearl millet followed by sudan grass under CT and RT after berseem *** highest net return was recorded by sowing pearl millet after berseem clover and applying CT followed by RT practices,which could be recommended for the commercial ***,it could be assumed that the combination of growing grass forage crops after legume crops under CT or RT systems could enhance forage crop yield and quality with an improvement in soil properties for sustainable agriculture with low cost and the highest net income.

Antimicrobial activity of metal-substituted cobalt ferrite nanoparticles synthesized by sol-gel technique

Metal-substituted cobalt ferrites [MxCo(1-x)Fe2O4(M=Zn,Cu,Mn;x=0.0,0.25,0.5,and 0.75)]were synthesized via a sol-gel *** ferrite structures were confirmed by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy,surface analysis using the Brunauer-emmett-Teller method,and energy-dispersive X-ray *** activity of these ferrites against selected pathogenic microbes was *** structures remained cubic spinel phases after substitution of *** strongly influenced the microstructure and homoge- neous grain *** particle size of the ferrites increased linearly with increase in their annealing *** surface area of zinc cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (ZCFO)was 52.56m^2/g,the average pore size was 1.84nm,and pore volume was 0.136mL/*** ferrites showed antimicrobial activity toward all pathogens *** these,the most powerful was ZCFO,showing zones of inhibition of 13.0mm against bacillus subtilis and staphylococcus aureus and 12.0mm against Candida ***-irradiated ZCFO nanoparticles (150.0kGy)maintained higher antimicrobial activity than non-irradiated particles,e.g. being active toward *** (16.0mm).ZCFO is proposed as a candidate material for industrial and biomedical purposes.
