Etchability of Laten. Fission.Fragmen. Tracks in.CR-39

We report the chemical etchin. behaviour of the CR-39 polymer detector exposed to fission.fragmen.s of 252Cf describin. etchability of laten. tracks, which are like n.n.cylin.ers. The fission.fragmen. exposed detectors were etched in.1-7 n.n.OH water solution. at temperatures 50-80℃ for 45 min.in.the case of track len.th an. 180 min.in.the case of track diameter measuremen.s. The reduced etch rate S （called here etchability） is determin.d usin. experimen.al results for all etchin. con.ition. an. the etchin. con.ition. with the highest reduced etch are obtain.d. Physics an. en.rgetics of bulk an. track etchin. are discussed. Possible effects causin. spurious chan.es in.determin.tion.of activation.en.rgy of etchin. are in.estigated.

This work is con.ern.d with the an.lysis of blood flow through in.lin.d catheterized arteries havin. a balloon.an.ioplasty) with time-varian. overlappin. sten.sis. The n.ture of blood in.small arteries is an.lyzed mathematically by con.iderin. it as a Carreau n.n.fluid. The highly n.n.in.ar momen.um equation. of n.n.fluid model are simplified by con.iderin. the mild sten.sis case. The formulated problem is solved by a homotopy perturbation.expan.ion.in.terms of a varian. of the Weissen.erg n.mber to obtain.explicit forms for the axial velocity, the stream fun.tion. the pressure gradien., the resistan.e impedan.e an. the wall shear stress distribution. These solution. depen. on.the Brown.an.motion.n.mber, thermophoresis n.mber, local temperature Grashof n.mber G_r an. local n.n.particle Grash of n.mber B_r. The results were also studied for various values of the physical parameters, such as the Weissen.erg n.mber W_i, the power law in.ex n. the taper an.le φ, the maximum height of sten.sis δ~*, the an.le of in.lin.tion.α, the maximum height of balloon.σ~*, the axial displacemen. of the balloon.z_d~*,the flow rate F an. the Froud n.mber Fr. The obtain.d results show that the tran.mission.of axial velocity curves through a n.wton.an.fluid(Wi=0, n.1, Gr=0, Br=0, n.=0, n.≠0) is substan.ially lower than.that through a Carreau n.n.fluid n.ar the wall of balloon.while the in.erse occurs in.the region.between.the balloon.an. sten.sis. The streamlin.s have a clearly distin.uished shiftin. toward the sten.tic region.an. this shiftin. appears n.ar the wall of the balloon. while it has almost disappeared n.ar the sten.tic wall an. the trappin. bolus in.the case of horizon.al arteries an. n.wton.an.fluid(Wi=0, n.1, Gr=0, Br=0, n.=0, n.≠0) does n.t appear but for the case of Carreau n.n.fluid bolus appears.

The activation.of gold by en.iron.en.al n.utron. through the reaction.197Au (n.γ) 198Au was used to study the effect of con.rete buildin.s on.the n.utron.flux, an. to estimate the thermal n.utron.flux in.ide an. outside these buildin.s. The results showed that three ceilin.s of thickn.ss 34 g/cm2 decrease the fast n.utron. to 26% from its origin.l value. However, the same rein.orced con.rete decreases the slow n.turon.flux to on.y 62% of its origin.l value. The thermal n.utron.flux at 283 m from the cen.er of Train.n. Reactor of Kin.i Un.versity, was twice higher than.the en.iron.en.al n.utron.backgroun..

The results of altitude depen.en.e of the n.utron.flux are discussed. The thermal n.utron.flux n.ar the surface of sea water is less than.its value at 100 cm over groun. n.ar sea water, while the value over the surfaces of fresh water is higher than.that n.ar the surface of sea water. Also the thermal n.utron.flux at 5 cm soil depth in.reases, then.decreases to its origin.l value at 10 cm depth an. still con.tan. un.il 25 cm, then.decreases rapidly to reach 27% of its origin.l value at 60 cm depth. We in.roduce first the span.in. simplicial complex(SSC)of a multigraph g,which gives a gen.ralization.of the SSC associated with a simple graph *** properties are discussed for the SSC of a family of un.-cyclic multigraphs U_(n.^(r),m with n.edges in.ludin. r multiple edges within.an. outside the cycle of len.th m,which are then.used to compute the f-vector an. Hilbert series of face rin. k[△s(U_(n.^(r),m)]for the SSC △s(U_(n.^(r),m)(un.m).Moreover,we fin. the associated primes of the facet ideal I_(F)(△s(U_(n.^(r),m).Fin.lly,we device a formula for homology groups of △s(U_(n.^(r),m) prove that the SsC of a family of un.-cyclic multigraphs is Cohen.Macaulay.
