The aim of this study was the determination of various levels in date palm kernel(DPK)flour for enhancing production performance of animals natural feed in Sudan,in addition to protecting the environment from *** material used is flour of date seeds from the following date varieties:Berkawi,Gandilla,Tamouda,Klmah,Mashreq Wad Khatib,Mashreq Wad *** research was conducted at the following institutions:Geological Research Authority of Sudan,preparation of the DPK;Institute Penyelidikan Produk Halal of University Putra Malaysia,determination of amino acids using high performance liquid chromatography mass spectroscopy mass spectroscopy(HPLC MSMS)fluorescence;University of Medical Sciences and Technology-Sudan,determination of fatty acids using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).Seeds were collected from various areas of Sudan and from *** seeds were mixed together and they weigh 8 *** preparation includes five steps,namely(1)washing,(2)soaking,(3)flushing,(4)drying,(5)*** flour was then used to determine its contents of amino acids by high performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detector(HPLC-FLD)and fatty acids by *** of the following amino acids were determined in the sample(percentages in w/w are indicated between parenthesis):hydroxyprofine(0.224),aspartic acid(7.029),serine(6.350),glutamic acid(1.745),glycine(3.183),histicline(0.705),arginine(7.262),threonine(ND),alanine(15.558),proline(4.302),cysteine(34.326),tyrosine(2.070),voline(0.402),methionine(2.989),lysine(4.723),isoleucine(2.203),leucine(4.485),phenylalanine(2.442)while the determined fatty acids are:lauric acid(11.765),tetradecanoic acid(14.214),methyl palmitoleate(16.235),palmitic acid(16.431),cis-10-Heptadecenoic acid,methyl ester(17.253),margaric acid(17.464),linoleic acid(18.183),oleic acid(18.236),stearic acid(18.449),methyl ester(20.106)and arachidic acid(20.308).The seeds of the dates are found to be rich in amino acids as well a

Background:The availability of various types of COVID-19 vaccines and diverse characteristics of the vaccines pre‑sent a dilemma in vaccination choices,which may result in individuals refusing a particular COVID-19 vaccine ofered,hence presenting a threat to immunisation coverage and reaching herd *** study aimed to assess global COVID-19 vaccination intention,vaccine characteristics infuencing vaccination acceptance and desirable vaccine characteristics infuencing the choice of ***:An anonymous cross-sectional survey was conducted between 4 January and 5 March 2021 in 17 coun‑tries *** and the corresponding 95%confdence intervals(CI)of COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and vaccine characteristics infuencing vaccination acceptance were generated and compared across countries and *** logistic regression analysis was used to determine the factors associated with COVID-19 vaccine ***:Of the 19,714 responses received,90.4%(95%CI 81.8–95.3)reported likely or extremely likely to receive COVID-19 vaccine.A high proportion of likely or extremely likely to receive the COVID-19 vaccine was reported in Australia(96.4%),China(95.3%)and Norway(95.3%),while a high proportion reported being unlikely or extremely unlikely to receive the vaccine in Japan(34.6%),the U.S.(29.4%)and Iran(27.9%).Males,those with a lower educational level and those of older age expressed a higher level of COVID-19 vaccine *** than two-thirds(59.7%;95%CI 58.4–61.0)reported only being willing to accept a vaccine with an efectiveness of more than 90%,and 74.5%(95%CI 73.4–75.5)said they would accept a COVID-19 vaccine with minor adverse reactions.A total of 21.0%(95%CI 20.0–22.0)reported not accepting an mRNA vaccine and 51.8%(95%CI 50.3–53.1)reported that they would only accept a COVID-19 vaccine from a specifc country‐of‐*** from the Southeast Asia region reported the highest proportion of not accepting mRNA technolog

MEBO能促进慢性压力性溃疡的愈合吗?——一个前瞻性、多中心、随机的临床研究

目的评估湿润烧伤膏(MEBO)治疗慢性压力性溃疡的效果和安全性。方法将来自世界不同国家和地区的5家医院的87名慢性压力性溃疡病例(182个创面)随机分成两组,实验组为MEBO组(n=41),对照组为Fucidin组(n=46);前瞻性收集的数据包括人口统计学、营养状况、潜在性疾病和并发症。分别按照各组的创面处理规范治疗创面,每2周计算和比较溃疡面的面积(SA)和愈合指数(HI)。结果两组都具有相同的统计学、临床、生化和溃疡特征。在持续使用MEBO治疗12周的过程中,在第2周和第4周可以观察到溃疡创面的愈合指数大幅度上升,溃疡创面明显减小。通过MEBO治疗的病例,半数以上(56.5%)的溃疡创面在12周之内都完全愈合(HI=1);通过Fucidin(P<0.001)治疗的对照组病例,只有19.6%的溃疡创面完全愈合。在连续12周的治疗中,MEBO组病例的溃疡创面没有HI<50%的,而在Fucidin(P<0.001)治疗的对照组中,26.8%的病例HI<50%。两组均未出现不良反应与过敏症状。结论 MEBO能够在治疗开始2周后快速促进不同程度慢性压力性溃疡创面的愈合,并且HI增长明显。在12周之内,MEBO能够完全促进50%以上的创面愈合。

A Preliminary Documentation of the Coral Reefs from Libya

Corals studies in Libya are very limited, although they play an important role in the oil exploration as they form excellent reservoirs of coral reef buildups at some oil fields of Sirt Basin (e.g. Intisar “idris” and Sahabi Fields). Both fields are produced from Paleocene coral reefs. Meanwhile, in Cyrenaica, corals are of less importance as they are not reported in subsurface tertiary rocks, which probably in the environmental settings of these sediments out of the core of reef as occurred in the surface. Meanwhile, corals are reported from older (Jurassic) subsurface successions as in Concession NC-152, but the cementation diagenesis leads to blocking and destroying the porosity. This study presents the first surface documentation work of eight scleractinian coral species from the exposed sediments in northern Libya, where sixtaxa is reported from Al Jabal al Akhdar region, these include a) an association of huge colonies of Caulastrea sp. and Stylophora sp., from the Middle Eocene Darnah Formation at West Darnah road cut section. Theco-existence of the fastCaulastrea sp. with the slow Stylophora sp. is due to the competition strategy;b) Antiguastrea sp. which is reported from the Oligocene Algal Limestone of Al Bayda Formation at Daryanah-Abyar Roadcut section;c) Cyphastrea sp. andAleveopora sp. from Oligo-Miocene Al Faidiyah Formation at Al Fatayah cement quarry and d) Tarbellastraea sp. From Middle Miocene Benghazi Formation at Benghazi Cement Quarry. In addition, two species Astraeaopora sp. and Actinacis paroraiare reported from the Upper Miocene sediments of formation “M” in As Sahabi area.

目的:报告16例颅内结核瘤患者的临床、影像学表现及抗结核治疗的结果。设计:本文共纳入苏丹Khartoun市全国神经系统疾病中心连续观察的16例脑结核瘤患者。诊断则依据其临床、头颅影像学特征及对抗结核治疗有效等方面。本组中共有7例具有脑组织或脑外组织的病理组织学资料。结果与结论:本组病例最常见的临床表现是头痛(100%)、全身性抽搐(68.7%)及偏瘫(56.2%)。头颅横断面电子计算机体层摄影(CT)/核磁共振成像(MRI)显示单个或多个明显增强的病变及病灶周围水肿。经抗结核治疗后,多数存活患者(13/15)病变完全吸收。病变部分吸收与就诊延迟、颅内多个大病灶及晚期粟粒性结核病有关。我们主张对颅内结核瘤,即使是拟诊病例,应早期经验性试用抗结核治疗,尤其在结核病高发地区。

Predictors of long term survival after hepatic resection for hilar cholangiocarcinoma:A retrospective study of 5-year survivors

AIM:To determine predictors of long term survival after resection of hilar cholangiocarcinoma(HC) by comparing patients surviving > 5 years with those who survived 5 ***:There were 34(14%) long term survivors(5 year survivors) among the 243 *** survivors were younger at diagnosis than those surviving less than 5 years(mean age,50.47 ± 4.45 vs 54.59 ± 4.98,p = 0.001).Gender,clinical presentation,preoperative drainage,preoperative serum bilirubin,albumin and serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase were similar between the two *** level of CA 19-9 was significantly higher in patients surviving 5 year,includingyoung age(p = 0.001),serum CA19-9(p = 0.0001),non-cirrhotic liver(p = 0.02),major hepatic resection(p = 0.001),caudate lobe resection(p = 0.006),well differentiated tumour(p = 0.03),lymph node status(0.008),R0 resection margin(p = 0.0001) and early postoperative liver cell failure(p = 0.02).CONCLUSION:Liver status,resection of caudate lobe,lymph node status,R0 resection and CA19-9 were demonstrated to be independent risk factors for long term survival.

The Relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance of Iraqi Corporations: A Literature Review

This paper aims to explore past researches that examine the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and financial performance. The researcher intends to conduct researches that examine the relationship between CSR and financial performance in Iraq corporations. This paper highlights review of literatures from various countries that examine relationships between CSR with financial performance. This paper is based on secondary sources which are accumulated from many researches in Malaysia, Australia, UK, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nigerian, and Jordan. The study uses information generated from literature reviewed from different researchers relating to the topic. This method was applied by collecting information from journals and online sources relating to the issue under consideration. Regression analysis documents significant evidence to support a positive relationship between CSR and financial performance. Evidence suggests that CSR leads to good financial performance in Iraq corporations. Findings based on the review revealed that researchers also showed that there was a significant positive relationship between CSR practice and financial performance in Iraq corporations. This study focuses on disclosures made in the corporate annual reports. This is because the annual report is the common document produced by companies on a regular basis and is widely used in prior studies related to CSR. The study provides some important insights for our understanding of CSR in developing economies and its effects on financial performance in the context of Iraq companies.
