Using N=2 supergravity form.lism.we investigate certain behaviors of five-dim.nsional black objects from.the com.actification of m.theory on a Calabi-Yau *** m.nifold has been constructed as the intersection of two hom.geneous polynom.als of degrees(ω+2,1)and(2,1)in a product of two weighted projective spaces given by WP^(4)(ω,1,1,1,1)×P^(1).First,we determ.ne the allowed electric charge regions of the BPS and non BPS black holes obtained by wrapping m.-branes on appropriate two cycles in such a proposed Calabi-Yau *** that,we calculate the entropy of these solutions which takes a m.xim.l value corresponding to ω=1 defining the ordinary projective space P^(4).For generic values of ω,we show that the non BPS states are ***,we conduct a sim.lar study of five-dim.nsional black *** the allowed m.gnetic charge regions of the BPS and non BPS black stringy solutions derived from.m.-branes on dual divisors,we calculate the tension taking a m.nim.l value for P^(4).By determ.ning the recom.ination factor,we show that the non-BPS black string states are stable in the allowed regions in the m.gnetic charge space.

A catalytic perform.nce is greatly im.acted by the m.croenvironm.nt surrounding the catalytic ***,efforts to m.dify the m.croenvironm.nt are prim.rily directed towards the first coordination spheres,while controlling the secondary coordination spheres is entirely *** this work,a series of porphyrin-based covalent organic fram.works(COFs)with distinct linkage were rationally designed to investigate the structure-property relationship between the secondary coordination spheres of catalytic centers and CO_(2) *** secondary coordination spheres of COFs could be changed readily by m.nipulating the organic *** photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction,the COF withβ-ketoenam.ne as the linkage(NiPor-BDOB)exhibited superior activity,selectivity,and stability over its im.ne-linked counterpart(NiPor-BDA).Experim.nts and theoretical calculations indicated that the distinct secondary coordination sphere resulted in an electronic density change of Ni centers,leading to enhanced photocatalytic *** study highlights the significance of controlling the secondary coordination sphere around the active site.

This article focuses on the experim.ntal and num.rical study of an industrial prototype furnace intended for the production of ceram.cs in order to im.rove the energy efficiency and therefore optim.ze the fuel consum.tion and the corresponding carbon dioxide *** order to understand the therm.l behavior from.which stem. the energy efficiency of the experim.ntal prototype,we establish in this work,a sim.lified m.deling allowing to establish a m.them.tical m.del describing the therm.l behavior of the *** m.del is able to accurately predict the spatial and tem.oral distribution of the tem.erature at each point of the furnace to control the firing of the refractory product so that the final product is of good quality in term. of resistance and *** addition,the power consum.d by the prototype m.st be optim.zed in order to reduce energy and environm.ntal *** particular,this efficient technology has allowed us to save 83% of energy used in the traditional furnace and to reduce 87.36% of the relative carbon dioxide *** sim.lation of the m.them.tical m.del m.de it possible to com.are the num.rical results with the experim.ntal m.asurem.nts obtained by the prototype as well as to validate the m.del and to adjust the heat transfer param.ters.

A practical fixed-tim. adaptive fuzzy control strategy is investigated for uncertain nonlinear system. with tim.-varying asym.etric constraints and input quantization. To overcom. the difficulties of designing controllers under the state constraints, a unified barrier function approach is em.loyed to construct a coordinate transform.tion that m.ps the original constrained system.to an equivalent unconstrained one, thus relaxing the tim.-varying asym.etric constraints upon system.states and avoiding the feasibility check condition typically required in the traditional barrier Lyapunov function based control approach. m.anwhile, the “explosion of com.lexity” problem.in the traditional backstepping approach arising from.repeatedly derivatives of virtual controllers is solved by using the com.and filter m.thod. It is verified via the fixed-tim. Lyapunov stability criterion that the system.output can track a desired signal within a sm.ll error range in a predeterm.ned tim., and that all system.states rem.in in the constraint range. Finally, two sim.lation exam.les are offered to dem.nstrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

In this paper, the effects of a quay or a solid jetty on hydrodynam.c coefficients and vertical wave excitation forces on a ship with or without forward speed are discussed. A m.dified sim.le Green function technique is used to calculate the 2D coefficients while the strip theory is used to calculate the 3D coefficients. Wave excitation forces are also calculated with the strip theory. Num.rical results are provided for hydrodynam.c coefficients and vertical wave excitation forces on a 200 000 DWT tanker ship. It is found that the quay has a considerable effect on the hydrodynam.c coefficients and wave excitation forces for a ship.

The m.in objective of this study was to determ.ne the desiccation behavior of clay slurries. A clay slurry with high water adsorption capacity(W_L = 180%,W_P 60%,W_s = 20) was used to determ.ne the soil water characteristic curve(SWCC), shrinkage curve, and hydraulic conductivity. The last param.ter was determ.ned sim.lar to the Instantaneous Profile m.thod using evaporation tests. Results indicated that the clay slurry had an air entry value(AEV) of 1000 kPa and a residual suction of 5000 kPa that occurred at the plastic lim.t and the shrinkage lim.t, respectively. The discrepancy between theoretical and m.asured shrinkage lim.t was due to the gradual increase in clay particle contact. Unlike soils, the saturated hydraulic conductivity varied by two orders of m.gnitude(4×10 ~10 m.s at 20 kPa to 3 x 10 ~12 m.s at AEV). The unsaturated k further decreased to 10 ~14 m.s at 6 x 10~4 kPa beyond which vapor flow took place.

The study area was designed and constructed, based on the sim.lification of aconceptual m.del, to develop a three-dim.nsional groundwater flow m.del for sim.lation oftwo-layers system. Finite difference groundwater flow m.del was constructed for the CentralSonghuajiang River alluvial plain in Northeast China, with the coverage of 786. 6km.2. The gridnetworks with a spacing of 474. 4m.by 509. 5m.were used to cover the m.del area. The trial-and-errortechnique was used to calibrate the m.del. The sensitivity of the sim.lations to the m.delparam.ters was studied -and the m.st sensitive param.ters that controlling the residual headsdistribution in the Songhuajiang River valley were defined.
