In this study,the effects of pre-strain-induced tensile twins(TTWs)and controlled heat treatment on the formability behavior of AZX311 Mg alloy sheets were investigated.A 4%compressive strain was applied to pre-strain the sheets using the in-plane compression(IPC)technique along the rolling direction(RD)to introduce *** pre-strained(PS)samples were subsequently heat-treated at 250℃,350℃,and 400℃ independently for 1 hr,and are termed as PSA1,PSA2,and PSA3,*** cupping tests were conducted to assess the formability of the sheet samples under different initial *** results showed that the PS sample heat-treated at 250℃ for 1hr exhibited a decrease in the Erichsen index(IE)compared to the as-rolled sample,whereas PSA2 and PSA3 samples showed an increase in IE *** analysis revealed that most of the TTWs generated through pre-twinning were stable at 250℃;however,the twin volume fraction reduced to 41%at 350℃ compared to the PS samples due to enhanced thermal activity at that ***,PSA2 samples showed severe grain coarsening in some areas of the sample,and the fraction of such grains increased in the PSA3 *** stretch formability(IE value)of PSA2 samples showed a 32.3%increase compared to the as-rolled ***,the analysis of the deformed specimen at failure under the Erichsen test indicated that considerable detwinning occurs in the PS and PSA1 samples,whereas dislocation slip activity dominates in the PSA2 and PSA3 samples during stretch *** from detwinning and dislocation slip,deformation twins were also observed in all samples after the Erichsen ***,this work highlights the importance of texture control and its underlying mechanisms via pre-twinning followed by heat treatment and their impact on the room temperature(RT)stretch formability of AZX311 Mg alloy sheets.

Breast cancer detection heavily relies on medical imaging, particularly ultrasound, for early diagnosis and effectivetreatment. This research addresses the challenges associated with computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) of breastcancer fromultrasound images. The primary challenge is accurately distinguishing between malignant and benigntumors, complicated by factors such as speckle noise, variable image quality, and the need for precise segmentationand classification. The main objective of the research paper is to develop an advanced methodology for breastultrasound image classification, focusing on speckle noise reduction, precise segmentation, feature extraction, andmachine learning-based classification. A unique approach is introduced that combines Enhanced Speckle ReducedAnisotropic Diffusion (SRAD) filters for speckle noise reduction, U-NET-based segmentation, Genetic Algorithm(GA)-based feature selection, and Random Forest and Bagging Tree classifiers, resulting in a novel and efficientmodel. To test and validate the hybrid model, rigorous experimentations were performed and results state thatthe proposed hybrid model achieved accuracy rate of 99.9%, outperforming other existing techniques, and alsosignificantly reducing computational time. This enhanced accuracy, along with improved sensitivity and specificity,makes the proposed hybrid model a valuable addition to CAD systems in breast cancer diagnosis, ultimatelyenhancing diagnostic accuracy in clinical applications.

Novel tetra-methoxy resorcinarene tetra-hydrazide（TMRTH） has been synthesized and used as a reducing agent and a capping agent for the synthesis of water-dispersible stable palladium nanoparticles（PdNPs）.The TMRTH-PdNPs were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy,energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,and powder X-ray *** synthesized nanoparticles are polydispersible with a size of 5 ± 2 nm and were found to be recyclable over five cycles maintaining a catalytic activity in the Suzuki-Miyuara cross-coupling *** nanocatalyst was superior in catalytic performance to conventional palladium catalysts with respect to reaction time,catalyst loading and ***-PdNPs show promise for their use in biological applications as they exhibit good antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria.

Performance analysis of solar still with cow dung cakes and blue metal stones

The aims of this paper is to investigate the effects of various materials inside the solar still on the increase of the productivity of potable water. Here, blue metal stones and cow dung cakes were used as materials. To investigate their effect, three identical solar stills with an effective area of 1 m square made from locally available materials were tested in climate conditions of Mehsana （23°50＇ N 72° 23＇）. The first and second solar stills were filled with blue metal, stones and cow dung cakes, while the third one was taken as a reference which consisted of only blue paint at the basin. The experiments show that blue metal stones have the highest distillate output at daytime, followed by cow dung cakes solar still and reference solar still. On the other hand, the overall distillate output of blue metal stones and cow dung cakes at daytime as well as at night were 35% and 20% compared with that of reference solar still.

The problem of reflection and transmission of plane periodic waves incident on the interface between the loosely bonded elastic solid and micropolar porous cubic crystal half spaces is investigated. This is done by assuming that the interface behaves like a dislocation, which preserves the continuity of traction while allowing a finite amount of slip. Amplitude ratios of various reflected and transmitted waves have been depicted graphically. Some special cases of interest have been deduced from the present investigation.

This paper elaborates on the development of paste backfill using mill tailings generated during the processing of a uranium ore deposit hosted in dolomitic limestone. The tailings have been characterized in terms of the physical, chemical and mineralogical properties. Time-dependent rheological behaviors and geotechnical properties of cemented paste backfill(CPB) are also determined. The studies show that the mill tailing has the potential to form paste and the CPB has adequate strength to provide support to mine pillars, roofs, and walls.

Earthquake performance of a flexible one-story building isolated with a variable frequency pendulum isolator （VFPI） under near-fault and far-field ground motions is investigated. The frictional forces mobilized at the interface of the VFPI are assumed to be velocity dependent. The interaction between frictional forces of the VFPI in two horizontal directions is duly considered and coupled differential equations of motion of the isolated system in the incremental form are solved iteratively. The response of the system with bi-directional interaction is compared with those without interaction. In addition, the effects of velocity dependence on the response of the isolated system are also investigated. Moreover, a parametric study is carried out to critically examine the influence of important parameters on bi-directional interaction effects of the frictional forces of the VFPI. These parameters are： the superstructure time period, frequency variation factor （FVF） and friction coefficient of the VFPI. From the above investigations, it is observed that the dependence of the friction coefficient on relative velocity of the system does not have a noticeable effect on the peak response of the system isolated with VFPI, and that the bi-directional interaction of frictional forces of the VFPI is important and if neglected, isolator displacements will be underestimated and the superstructure acceleration and base shear will be overestimated.

Objective:To screen the wound healing activity of aqueous and ethanolic extract of roots of Ficus ***:Both the extracts were evaluated for wound healing by three models ie. incision,excision and dead space *** incision and dead space the extracts were applied ilaily topically till the 10th post wounding days while in excision model it was till the complete epithelialization *** group were administered Povidone iodine ointment topically *** breaking strength,percentage of wound contraction,period of epithelialization,dry granulation weight and hydroxyproline content were ***:The result of the present study showed that both extracts were able to increase the breaking strength(incision model), decrease period of *** percentage wound contraction(excision model), increase hydroxyproline content(Dead space wound model) significantly compared with control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Based on result we conclude that aqueous extract is more effective than ethanolic ***,it is needed more research to be carried out especially on toxicity studies of ethanolic extract.
