Objective: To examine the role of store-operated calcium entry(SOCE) and stromal interaction molecule 1(STIM1) in survival and migration of osteosarcoma cells and investigate what blockade of store-operated Ca^(2+)contributes to the regulation of osteosarcoma ***: First, we examined the expression levels of STIM1 in osteosarcoma cell lines by Western ana.ysis and in tissue specimens by immunohistochemistry. Second, we investigated the effect of SOCE and STIM1 on osteosarcoma cell viability using MTS assays and on cell proliferation using colony formation. Third, we investigated the role of SOCE and STIM1 in cell migration using wound healing assays and Boyden chamber assays. Finally, we studied the effect of SOCE on the nuclear factor of activated T-cells cytoplasmic 1(NFATc1)activity by luciferase ***: STIM1 was overexpressed in osteosarcoma cell lines and tissue specimens and was associated with poor survival of osteosarcoma patients. Also, inhibition of SOCE and STIM1 decreased the cell viability and migration of osteosarcoma cells. Furthermore, our results showed that blockade of store-operated Ca^(2+) channels involved down-regulation of NFATc1 in osteosarcoma ***: STIM1 is essential for osteosarcoma cell functions, and STIM1 and Ca^(2+) entry pathway could be further explored as molecular targets in the treatment of osteosarcoma.

This study aimed to characterize the physical-chemical and biological properties of pectin(PC)/chia seed mucilage(CM)***/CM[100/0(control),80/20%,60/40%,and 40/60%w/w]membranes were prepared using the casting *** membranes(PC/CM)were thin,yellow,lightly opaque(≈10%)and capable of blocking light UVB(between 66 at 52%).SEM ana.ysis showed the presence of aggregates in the shape of a sphere(≈13μm)and ovoid(≈25μm).The proportion of 80/20 showed an increase in tensile strength(29%)and elastic modulus(19%)when compared to the *** ana.ysis exhibited intermolecular interactions between PCPC,PC-CM,and CM-CM in the *** thermal ana.ysis(600°C)showed a slight improvement in the percentage of residual mass-loss of 3.31%(80/20)that *** 40/60 membrane showed the lowest percentage of hemolysis(2.94%)but limited human albumin adsorption *** results suggested that the blend PC/CM may be considered as a biomaterial for medical applications.

通过恒电流阳极氧化在Ti−6Al−4V合金表面制备彩色氧化物薄膜。采用3种不同的含有腐蚀无机缓蚀剂的水溶液(Na_(2)MoO_(4),NaH_(2)PO_(4)和NH_(4)VO_(3))进行阳极化处理,研究缓蚀剂阴离子对合金在Ringer溶液中腐蚀行为的影响。采用开路电位(OCP)、Tafel极化、线性扫描伏安(lSV)和计时电流(CA)等手段,评估处理后电极的腐蚀性能。通过释放的Mo、V和P,采用ICP-AES技术检测缓蚀剂离子的掺入。利用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、X射线衍射(XRD)和X射线光电子能谱(XPS)对形成的氧化物进行表征。结果表明,无论采用何种溶液,均获得无孔或裂纹的致密无定形氧化物。在Na_(2)MoO_(4)溶液中阳极氧化样品的腐蚀电流密度最低(0.11μA/cm^(2)),即使在Ringer溶液中浸泡168 h,仍能保护合金,而未检测到裂纹或腐蚀产物。XPS分析结果显示,钼以Mo^(6+)和Mo^(4+)的形式掺入氧化膜中。

We continue to ana.yse the known law of adiabatic transformation for an ideal gas PV5/3=Constant, where P isthe pressure and V is the volume, and following the approach of non-relativistic quantum mechanics which we suggested in a previous work （yarman et al. 2010 Int. J. Phys. Sci. 5 1524）. We explicitly determine the constant for the general parallelepiped geometry of a container. We also disclose how the quantum numbers associated with molecules of an ideal gas va.y through an arbitra.y adiabatic transformation. Physical implications of the results obtained are discussed.

Changes in phototactic behavior of Daphnia magna clone C_1242 in response to copper, cadmium and pentachlorophenol

In order to develop a sound biotechnique for monitoring water quality that builds on the previous experiments carried out in our laboratory, a specific D. magna clone C 1242 was used to study the effects of pollutants on phototactic behavior. In all experiments, the animals showed a stable and repeatable phototactic index approximated 0.2 in the presence and 0.4 in the absence of fish kairomones, which decreased significantly in response to pollutants. There existed no pollutant×fish kairomone interaction, indicating the changes in phototactic behavior of animals imposed by pollutants were independent of the presence of fish kairomones. The detection limits for changes in phototactic behavior of D. magna clone C 1242 are 0.04 mg/l for copper, 0.02 mg/l for cadmium, and 0.80 mg/l for PCP, respectively, quite lower than lC 50(48 h). The changes in phototactic behavior in presence to pollutants occurred quickly(3 h) compared to the period over whole acute toxicity tests. Therefore, D. magna clone C 1242 could be potentially used to monitor water quality. Moreover, the phototactic behavior did not decrease further in the pollutant mixtures employed in our experiments compared to individual pollutants, except in the Cd-PCP treatment. This fact suggests that the formation of water quality criteria must be based upon pollutant mixture tests.

Controlling microbubble dynamics to produce desirable biomedical outcomes when and where necessa.y and avoid deleterious effects requires advanced knowledge, which can be achieved only through a combination of experimental and numerical/ ana.ytical techniques. The present communication presents a multi-physics approach to study the dynamics combining viscous- inviscid effects, liquid and structure dynamics, and multi bubble interaction. While complex numerical tools are developed and used, the study aims at identifying the key parameters influencing the dynamics, which need to be included in simpler models.

Density and Seasonal Dynamics of Bemisia tabaci(Gennadius) Mediterranean on Common Crops and Weeds Around Cotton Fields in Northern China

The density seasonal dynamics of Bemisia tabaci MED were evaluated over two years in a cotton-growing area in langfang, Hebei Province, northern China on cotton （Gossypium hirsutum l.） and six other co-occurring common plants, common ragweed （Ambrosia artemisiifolia l.）, piemarker （Abutilon theophrasti Medicus）, sunflower （Helianthus annuus l.）, sweet potato （Ipomoea batatas l.）, soybean （Glycine max l.）, and maize （Zea mays l.）. The whitefly species identity was repeatedly tested and confirmed; seasonal dynamics on the various host plants were standardized by the quartile method. B. tabaci MED appeared on weeds （the common ragweed and piemarker） about 10 days earlier than on cotton, or the other cultivated plants. The peak population densities were observed over a span of 2 to 3 weeks on cotton, starting in early （2010） or mid-August （2011）. The common ragweed growing adjacent to cotton supported the highest B. tabaci densities （no. on 100 cm2 leaf surface）, 12-22 fold higher than on cotton itself. Sunflower supported more B. tabaci than the other plants, and about 1.5-2 fold higher than cotton did, Our results indicate that weeds （esp. the common ragweed） around cotton fields could increase the population density of B. tabaci MED on cotton, while sunflower could act as a trap crop for decreasing pest pressure on cotton.

目的分析浙江省嘉兴市2株与手足口病相关的柯萨奇病毒B3型(CVB3)毒株的全基因组序列特征,为手足口病的监测与防控提供科学依据。方法收集2021年浙江省嘉兴市辖区内7个区、县疾病预防控制中心上送至嘉兴市疾病预防控制中心的手足口病监测样本,经实时荧光定量反转录聚合酶链反应(real-time quantitative reverse transcription PCR,real-time qRT-PCR)检测后,选取肠道病毒核酸通用阳性的样本接种于人横纹肌肉瘤(human rhabdomyosarcoma,RD)细胞和人喉癌上皮(human la.ynx carcinoma,HEp-2)细胞进行病毒分离培养,对产生细胞病变效应(cytopathic effect,CPE)的阳性分离株进行高通量测序(Illumina NextSeq 550平台),鉴定出2株CVB3,并获得其全基因组序列。利用DNAstar软件对核苷酸序列及所编码氨基酸进行同源性分析;用MEGA6软件对VP1区进行基因分型,同时进行系统进化树的绘制;采用Simplot3.5.1软件进行重组分析。结果2株CVB3毒株基因组全长分别为7352 bp和7367 bp,其核苷酸和编码区氨基酸相似性分别为93.3%和99.5%。与CVB3原型株相比,2株毒株在编码区无碱基插入或缺失,在非编码区存在个别碱基的插入或缺失,与原型株的核苷酸相似性分别为78.9%和79.1%,编码区氨基酸相似性分别为96.0%和96.1%。VP1区系统进化树分析结果显示,本研究的2株CVB3属于E基因型,与2020年广东省分离株同属于国内新发现的分支(相似性95.09%~98.18%),与国外澳大利亚、日本分离株亲缘性最近。2株CVB3的全基因组及其P1、P2、P3区基因序列系统进化树和Simplot重组分析结果显示,2株CVB3在P2和P3非结构编码区的不同区段与不同血清型的肠道病毒有型间重组现象。结论嘉兴市的2株CVB3毒株属于国内新发现的E基因型,有重组现象,需关注CVB3的流行潜力并加强监测。

The basic mechanism and kinetics of the transformation process of alumina inclusions in steel was reported when calcium introduced into the steel by wire feeding orpowder injection. To clarify the mechanisms model, experiments were performed by studying reactions between AltOs and CaO in a laboratory furnace and by performing calcium treatments in an 8kg induction furnace for Al deoxidised melt. The phases formed during the reaction between Al2O3 and CaO were examined by SEM-EDS （scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometer）, and the reaction sequence of Al2O3=〉 CA6=〉 CA2 =〉 CA =〉 CAx（l） was discussed in term of the experimental observations. The kinetics of the reaction of calcium with alumina inclusions were simulated by immersing alumina plates in a Ca treated steel melt in the induction furnace. Results were compared with observations of real inclusion transformation. A kinetic model was proposed based on the results.
