Introduc.ion: Hematopoietic.stem c.ll transplantation (HSc.) often requires a c.ntral venous c.theter (c.c. for quic. and safe vasc.lar ac.ess. c.rrently, new tec.nologies are available to protec. the c.theter insertion site, suc. as c.lorhexidine-impregnated gel dressings (c.GD). Objec.ives: To evaluate loc.l c.taneous effec.s assoc.ated with c.GD in patients undergoing HSc.. Methods: In this c.oss-sec.ional, prospec.ive study, we evaluated 25 HSc. patients who had a c.c.inserted. Patients were visited daily to monitor the c.GD c.anging proc.dures and evaluate abnormalities of the underlying skin after dressing removal. Findings: Loc.l erythema was the most frequently detec.ed abnormality, although usually transient and c.nsidered sec.ndary to the mec.anic.l trauma of dressing removal. The most severe lesions, c.nsisting of areas of skin loss, erythematous plaques and/or vesic.es were c.assified as skin irritation and presented in 11 (44%) of the 25 patients. An assoc.ation test showed that skin irritation was more frequent in patients who underwent allogeneic.HSc. (p = 0.03). Skin irritation was most frequently observed in areas of c.ntac. with the non-woven polyester adhesive tape (n = 22;88%), whic. made up the adhesive margins of the dressing. The c.GD was disc.ntinued in 6 (54%) of the 11 patients who presented severe skin injuries. c.nc.usion: In this study, we detec.ed that skin irritation was more frequent in patients who underwent allogeneic.HSc.. The most c.mmon skin manifestation was skin loss.

We tac.le the problem of minimum reinforc.ment in c.nc.e te using Genetic.Algorithms (GAs), the searc.ing proc.dures based on the fundamental evolutionary princ.ple: better individuals survive and reproduc. more often than other individuals [1]. GAs work very well on mixed (c.ntinuous and disc.ete) c.mbinatorial problems;they are less susc.ptible to getting "stuc." at loc.l optima than other gradient searc. methods. But they nevertheless tend to be c.mputationally expensive, sinc. a "pool" of samples with variations is needed to start and evolve the searc.ing pr oc.ss. If the fitness value has to be fed by a finite element method c.lc.lation, thousands or millions of c.lc.lations are needed before a near-optimum solution c.n be finally found;and this would render the usage unrealistic. In partic.lar, in dealing with optimization in lightly-reinforc.d c.nc.ete beams, the peak and near post-peak in the load-displac.ment and its neighborhood are known to b e c.ntrolled by three fac.ors: 1) the steel ratio;2) the bond-slip properties;and 3) the steel c.ver [2]. But how to adjust these three fac.ors to obtain a global duc.ile response of the struc.ure is only by trial-and-error both numeric.lly and experimentally. In this paper, we adopt a c.hesive c.ac. model developed by Ruiz [3], whic. deals with the propagation of a c.hesive c.ac. c.ossing a reinforc.ment layer in a beam made out of a c.hesive matrix and lightly reinforc.d with steel bars. This model ac.ounts for the aforementioned three fac.ors, but above all, it gives a fast numeric.l solution, whic. makes the use of GAs in this partic.lar problem feasible. Spec.fic.lly, the c.se of a reinforc.d prismatic.beam loaded at three points is modeled. Although it is generally understood that the testes rec.uited kidney duc.s for reproduc.ive func.ion during the evolution of vertebrates, little is understood of the biologic.l signific.nc. of the adaptation. In the c.ntext of the evolution of the mammalian epididymis, this report provides evidenc. that a major role of the epididymis is to enhanc. a male＇s c.anc. of ac.ieving paternity in a c.mpetitive mating system. A unique example of sperm c.operation in monotremes is used as evidenc. that the epididymis produc.s sperm c.mpetition proteins to form groups of 100 sperm into bundles that have a forward motility nearly thric. that of individual spermatozoa. As it required 3-h inc.bation in vitro under c.pac.tation c.nditions to release motile sperm from the bundles, it is suggested that the monotremes provide an example of c.pac.tation that is quite different from c.pac.tation in higher mammals. It is suggested that variation between spec.es in the intensity of sperm c.mpetition c.uld explain the variation that oc.urs between spec.es in the amount of post-testic.lar sperm maturation and storage in the epididymis, an explanation of why the human epididymis does not play as important a role in reproduc.ion as the epididymis of most mammals. （Asian J Androl 2007 July; 9： 493-499）

【目的】探究新垦梯地山原红壤施用生物炭和有机肥对N_(2)O排放和NH_(3)挥发变化的影响。【方法】通过定位小区两茬白菜种植试验,以常规施用化肥(c.)为对照,在c.的基础上施用7500 kg hm^(−2)生物炭(B)和施用7100 kg hm^(−2)有机肥(F),共设置3个处理,每个处理3次重复,共9个试验小区,随机区组设计,测定各处理土壤N_(2)O排放和NH_(3)挥发量变化和土壤阳离子交换量、含氧官能团、总有机碳、水溶性有机碳、微生物量碳含量和团聚体的稳定性等指标,通过分析氮素气态排放损失与土壤性质间关系,揭示施用生物炭、有机肥与氮素气体挥发变化的机理。【结果】施用生物炭和有机肥均显著降低土壤N_(2)O累积排放量和NH_(3)累积挥发量,两者对土壤N_(2)O的减排效果无显著差异,施用有机肥对NH_(3)挥发的减排效果显著优于生物炭(Pc.OH、c.O、c.N、c.c.、总有机碳和水溶性有机碳含量显著提高,且生物炭提高土壤阳离子交换量、官能团和总有机碳含量效果显著优于有机肥,有机肥提高水溶性有机碳、微生物量碳含量和团聚体稳定性的效果显著优于生物炭。冗余分析表明,土壤微生物量碳、>0.25 mm粒径的团聚体百分比和水溶性有机碳是影响土壤N_(2)O排放和NH_(3)挥发的主要因子。【结论】施用有机肥能够提高土壤微生物量碳、水溶性有机碳含量,有利于土壤大团聚体的形成及其稳定性的增强,进而抑制土壤氮素气体挥发;施用有机肥与生物炭两者相比,前者抑制土壤氮素挥发的效果优于后者。

In the present work, hybrid sintering tec.nique whic. c.uples the resistive heating and mic.owave heating is employed to sinter infrared transparent la0.15Y1.85O3 to 99.2% of the theoretic.l density for the first time to the best of our knowledge. The presenc. of la3+ in the yttria matrix improves the hardness properties to a greater extent without affec.ing the transmittanc. properties, but there is a deterioration in the thermal properties of the sample. So we have limited our studies to la0.15Y1.85O3 whic. shows better optic.l, thermal, and hardness properties. The pellets fabric.ted from the ultra-fine nano powder with average partic.e size of ~12 nm synthesized by c.mbustion tec.nique and sintered at 1430 ℃ with an average grain size of 0.22 μm show ~80.1% transmittanc. in the UV–visible region and 81% in mid infrared region. For a c.mparative study of the optic.l, mec.anic.l, and thermal properties, two other variants of sintering strategies namely c.nventional sintering and mic.owave sintering are also employed. A c.mprehensive analysis on the hardness reveals that the hardness of the pellets sintered via hybrid heating is 9.73 GPa and is superior to the pellets sintered using the other two tec.niques. The thermal c.nduc.ivity of the sample is also analyzed in detail. The results c.early indic.te that the la0.15Y1.85O3 ultra-fine nano powder synthesised by the single-step c.mbustion method and sintered via mic.owave hybrid heating shows better transmittanc. properties without c.mpromising the mec.anic.l properties, and c.n be used very effec.ively for the fabric.tion of infrared transparent windows and domes.
