Background:The field of personalized medicine has gained increasing attention in cancer care,with the aim of tailoring treatment strategies to individual patients for improved outcomes.Herbal medicine,with its long-standing historical use and extensive bioactive compounds,offers a rich source of potential treatments for various diseases,including cancer.Objective:To provide an overview of the current knowledge and evidence associated with incorporating herbal compounds into precision medicine strategies for cancer diseases.Additionally,to explore the general characteristics of the studies included in the analysis,focusing on their key features and trends.Search strategy:A comprehensive literature search was conducted from multiple online databases,including Pub med,Scopus,Web of Science,and CINAHL-EBSCO.The search strategy was designed to identify studies related to personalized cancer medicine and herbal interventions.Inclusion criteria:Publications pertaining to cancer research conducted through in vitro,in vivo,and clinical studies,employing natural products were included in this review.Data extraction and analysis:Two review authors independently applied inclusion and inclusion criteria,data extraction,and assessments of methodological quality.The quality assessment and biases of the studies were evaluated based on modified Jadad scales.A detailed quantitative summary of the included studies is presented,providing a comprehensive description of their key features and findings.Results:A total of 121 studies were included in this review for analysis.Some of them were considered as comprehensive experimental investigations both in vitro and in vivo.The majority(n=85)of the studies included in this review were conducted in vitro,with 44 of them specifically investigating the effects of herbal medicine on animal models.Additionally,7 articles with a combined sample size of 31,271 patients,examined the impact of herbal medicine in clinical settings.Conclusion:Personalized medication can optimize the use of herbal m

Analysis and optimal synthesis of single loop spatial mechanisms

In this work, a systematic approach is presented to obtain the input-output equations of a single loop 4-bar spatial mechanisms. The dialytic method along with Denavit-Hartenberg parameters can be used to obtain these equations efficiently. A genetic algorithm (GA) has been used to solve the problem of spatial mechanisms synthesis. Two types of mechanisms, e.g., RSCR and RSPC (R: revolute; S: spherical; C: cylindrical; P: prismatic), have illustrated the application of the GA to solve the problem of function generation and path generation. In some cases, the GA method becomes trapped in a local minimum. A combined GA-fuzzy logic (GA-FL) method is then used to improve the final result. The results show that GAs, combined with an adequate description of the mechanism, are well suited for spatial mechanism synthesis problems and have neither dificulties inherent to the choice of the initial feasible guess, nor a problem of convergence, as it is the case for deterministic methods.

CLINICAL STUDY OF LASERNEEDLE ACUPUNCTURE

We are reporting over 500 acupuncture cases, a wide range of illnesses ranging from orthopedic, internal, neurological and psychological diseases, all of which were treated with a newly developed and therefore available Laserneedle system. This system was highly successful in treatment of a variety of illnesses including HWS, BWS and LWS Syndromes, gonarthritis, coxarthritis, rhizarthrosis, periarthritis of the shoulder, epicondylitis humeri radialis, tendinitis, fibromyalgia and PCP, morbus Bechterew, paralysis after stroke, migraine and other headache syndrome, tinnitus, trigeminal neuralgia, gastropathy, bronchial asthma, AVK, mental depression and other psychovegatative burnout syndrome by using both body acupoints and otopoints. Treatment was made by simultaneously using 8 Laserneedles which were not pricked into, but stuck onto the skin. The Laserneedles emit red and infrared Laserrays with a high energy output, so that perceptible, vegetative stimulation can be detected at the acupunctrured sites. We found out, that especially in the therapy resistant, long standing cases and cases with chronic back and spine problems, considerable improvements in easing pain and increasing mobility could be made. Recognizable success was made by using Laserneedles in cases suffering from psychological illnesses, especially psychosomatic related Burnout syndrome and cases of exhaustion. Usually after 2～3 treatments, efficient success was made, without any side effects what so ever.

Geophysics Contribution for the Determination of Aquifers with a Case Study

The determination and monitoring of aquifer formations on the eastern border of moroccan Gharb basin are very difficult because of their spatial and temporal variation. To delimit these formations, a geophysical survey of 52 geoelectric soundings was performed with a mesh of 500 m and electrodes distance between 1000 m and 3000 m. Geoelectric sections and resistivity maps show a horst and graben structure. The correlation of existing oil drillings shows that the Jurassic and Neogene formations are both affected by normal faults causing Jurassic deposits collapse with local thickening of the miocene deposits, and reverse faults delimiting tectonic slices due to tension caused by prerifaine nappe advance. This fact confirms the generated structure by the resistivity method. The isobath map of resistant formations's roof show average depths extending from 400 to 800 m for calcareous sandstone that are potential aquifers while oil drillings indicate over 1000 m depths.

The proteome of distal nerves: implication in delayed repair and poor functional recovery

Chronic denervation is one of the key factors that affect nerve regeneration.Chronic axotomy deteriorates the distal nerve stump,causes protein changes,and renders the microenvironment less permissive for regeneration.Some of these factors/proteins have been individually studied.To better delineate the comprehensive protein expression profiles and identify proteins that contribute to or are associated with this detrimental effect,we carried out a proteomic analysis of the distal nerve using an established delayed rat sciatic nerve repair model.Four rats that received immediate repair after sciatic nerve transection served as control,whereas four rats in the experimental group(chronic denervation)had their sciatic nerve repaired after a 12-week delay.All the rats were sacrificed after 16 weeks to harvest the distal nerves for extracting proteins.Twenty-five micrograms of protein from each sample were fractionated in SDS-PAGE gels.NanoLC-mS/mS analysis was applied to the gels.Protein expression levels of nerves on the surgery side were compared to those on the contralateral side.Any protein with a P value of less than 0.05 and a fold change of 4 or higher was deemed differentially expressed.All the differentially expressed proteins in both groups were further stratified according to the biological processes.A Pubmed search was also conducted to identify the differentially expressed proteins that have been reported to be either beneficial or detrimental to nerve regeneration.Ingenuity Pathway Analysis(IPA)software was used for pathway analysis.The results showed that 709 differentially expressed proteins were identified in the delayed repair group,with a bigger proportion of immune and inflammatory process-related proteins and a smaller proportion of proteins related to axon regeneration and lipid metabolism in comparison to the control group where 478 differentially expressed proteins were identified.The experimental group also had more beneficial proteins that were downregulated and more detrimental proteins that

The COVID-19 pandemic has become one of the severe diseases in recent years.As it majorly affects the common livelihood of people across the universe,it is essential for administrators and healthcare professionals to be aware of the views of the community so as to monitor the severity of the spread of the outbreak.The public opinions are been shared enormously in microblogging med-ia like twitter and is considered as one of the popular sources to collect public opinions in any topic like politics,sports,entertainment etc.,This work presents a combination of Intensity Based Emotion Classification Convolution Neural Net-work(IBEC-CNN)model and Non-negative matrix Factorization(NmF)for detecting and analyzing the different topics discussed in the COVID-19 tweets as well the intensity of the emotional content of those tweets.The topics were identified using NmF and the emotions are classified using pretrained IBEC-CNN,based on predefined intensity scores.The research a.med at identifying the emotions in the Indian tweets related to COVID-19 and producing a list of topics discussed by the users during the COVID-19 pandemic.Using the Twitter Application Programming Interface(Twitter API),huge numbers of COVID-19 tweets are retrieved during January and July 2020.The extracted tweets are ana-lyzed for emotions fear,joy,sadness and trust with proposed Intensity Based Emotion Classification Convolution Neural Network(IBEC-CNN)model which is pretrained.The classified tweets are given an intensity score varies from 1 to 3,with 1 being low intensity for the emotion,2 being the moderate and 3 being the high intensity.To identify the topics in the tweets and the themes of those topics,Non-negative matrix Factorization(NmF)has been employed.Analysis of emotions of COVID-19 tweets has identified,that the count of positive tweets is more than that of count of negative tweets during the period considered and the negative tweets related to COVID-19 is less than 5%.Also,more than 75%nega-tive tweets expressed sadness,fear are of low

The aging population is an important issue around the world especially in developed countries.Although med-ical advances have substantially extended life span,the same cannot be said for the duration of health span.We are seeing in-creasing numbers of elderly people who are frail and/or have multiple chronic conditions;all of these can affect the quality of life of the elderly population as well as increase the burden on the healthcare system.Aging is mechanistically related to common medical conditions such as diabetes mellitus,ischemic heart disease,cognitive decline,and frailty.A recently accepted concept termed‘Accelerated Biological Aging’can be diagnosed when a person’s biological age—as measured by biomarkers of DNA methylation—is older than their corresponding chronological age.Taurine,a conditionally essential amino acid,has received much attention in the past few years.A substantial number of animal studies have provided a strong scientific foundation sug-gesting that this amino acid can improve cellular and metabolic health,including blood glucose control,so much that it has been labelled one of the‘longevity amino acids’.In this review article,we propose the rationale that an adequately powered random-ized-controlled-trial(RCT)is needed to confirm whether taurine can meaningfully improve metabolic and microbiome health,and biological age.This trial should incorporate certain elements in order to provide the much-needed evidence to guide doctors,and also the community at large,to determine whether this promising and inexpensive amino acid is useful in improving human metabolic health.

Dry age-related macular degeneration(AmD)is a progressive blinding disease that currently affects millions of people worldwide with no successful treatment available.Significant research efforts are currently underway to develop therapies a.med at slowing the progression of this disease or,more notably,reversing it.Here the therapies which have reached clinical trial for treatment of dry AmD were reviewed.A thorough search of Pub med,Embase,and Clinicaltrials.gov has led to a comprehensive collection of the most recent strategies being evaluated.This review also endeavors to assess the status and future directions of therapeutics for this debilitating condition.
