针对LT喷泉码,为进一步增加小度值的可译码集出现概率,限制二进制指数度分布的最大度值,提出了截短二进制指数度分布;为进一步增加大度值的可译码集出现概率,改变鲁棒孤子度分布的分布值,提出了滑动的鲁棒孤子度分布.结合这两种度分布,建立了一种新的开关度分布.仿真结果表明,新的开关度分布进行LT编码时的初始译码成功率达到了56%,整体译码成功率高于原始的开关度分布约9%~12%.

Long-Term Clinical Outcome of Patients Using Risperidone Long-Acting Injectable: The Romanian e-STAR Database

The objectives of e-STAR Romania (NCT00283517) were to collect clinical outcome data of Romania schizophrenia or schizo-affective disorder patients;prospectively to assess the reasons of treatment initiation, medication usage patterns;to document (long-term) clinical efficacy;and to collect safety data, as well as recording 2-year corresponding retrospective data. In total, 378 eligible subjects were enrolled who were initiated either on risperidone long-acting injectable (RLAI) (290) or on an oral antipsychotic (OA) (88) at baseline as required by the local Summary of the Product Characteristics. Data were collected from per patient both retrospectively and prospectively over a 24-month period at 3-month intervals after starting treatment. The results indicated that subjects suffering from schizophrenia or schizo-affective disorder initiated on RLAI were less likely to be hospitalized within the first 24 months after the initiation of treatment. Moreover, subjects treated with RLAI experienced significant improvements in their illness severity and functioning. Discontinuation rates for RLAI were low and doses were stable throughout the 24 months following the initiation of treatment. In addition, the necessity for supplementary concomitant medication was reduced. Adverse events were reported in 20.3% (RLAI) and 11.4% (OA) of the subjects. In general, patients initiated on RLAI and OA at baseline both clinically improved on all assessed parameters but a larger improvement was observed for patients on RLAI. Incidences of reported AEs during the use of RLAI in a naturalistic setting are comparable with those described in clinical studies;however, the incidence of extrapyramidal signs and weight gain was lower than expected.

Ontogenetic aging of tissues and the gradual decrease of adventitious rooting are known challenges for the clonal propagation of woody species,hampering clonal forestry *** study examined possible signatures of tissue rejuvenation/reinvigoration in different propagated materials of Eucalyptus microcorys by analyzing the total protein profile,peroxidase activity,macro-and micronutrient contents,and adventitious rooting of mini *** analyses were performed on *** shoots which were successfully obtained by seminal and grafting propagation,micropropagation with epicormic shoots,and indirect *** four mature trees used in the propagation,tissues from the one with the best propagation results were investigated for signs of tissue rejuvenation and/or *** individuals from each technique were randomly selected and transferred to a semi-hydroponic"channel"*** four weeks in the seedbed,the total protein,peroxidase activity,nutrient content and rooting of the mini cuttings were ***-PAGE enabled the differentiation of leaf samples obtained by grafting from the other propagation techniques,as revealed by two distinct *** obtained by micropropagation with epicormic shoots showed the highest peroxidase activity,while those obtained by seminal propagation and from the selected mature tree showed the lowest peroxidase activity.A portable X-ray fluorescence spectroscope(pXRF)identified adequate nutrient content in most of the nutrients tested in materials obtained by seminal and grafting propagation,and by indirect *** analysis of adventitious rooting showed that the highest rooting percentage was observed in mini cuttings from seminal propagation(75%)followed by indirect organogenesis(35%).Based on principal component analysis,it was concluded that rooting of mini cuttings from both seminal propagation and indirect organogenesis was associated with phosphorous,sulphur,and potassium

Factors Affecting Catecholamines in Caregivers of Patients with Dementia

Background:Caregivers of dementia patients have significantly higher levels of serum IL-6 and CRP compared to non-caregivers,and the accumulation of everyday stressors reportedly promotes the induction of inflammatory ***,few studies have identified factors that affect catecholamine levels in caregivers who experience a combination of physical and mental stress from ***:This study aimed to identify physical factors that impact catecholamine levels in caregivers of dementia ***:Participants were elderly caregivers living together with elderly Alzheimer’s-type dementia *** performed logistic regression analysis,with levels of adrenaline,noradrenaline,and dopamine(indicators of catecholamine)as dependent ***:Caregiver BMI had a significant impact on adrenaline levels(OR:0.792;95%CI:0.654-0.960)and noradrenaline levels(OR:1.210;95%CI:1.009-1.451),whereas age had a significant impact on dopamine levels(OR:1.162;95%CI:1.019-1.324).Discussion:While caregiver BMI significantly impacted adrenaline and noradrenaline levels,the mechanism underlying these relationships is *** possibility is that obesity(BMI)and a rise in sympathetic nerve activity contributed to *** findings suggest that chronic stress in elderly caregivers may potentially impair the dopaminergic activation system in the ***:There is a need to identify factors which increase BMI in *** studies aimed at gaining a better understanding of the lifestyle habits of caregivers and intervention studies aimed at reducing their BMI are warranted.

Background and Aims:Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is driven by high caloric intake and sedentary *** towards high income countries may induce these driving factors;yet,the influence of such on the prevalence of MAFLD is clearly ***,we investigated the Fatty Liver Index(FLI),a proxy of steatosis in MAFLD,after migration of Ghanaian ***:Cross-sectional data of 5282 rural,urban and migrant participants from the Research on obesity and Diabetes among African Migrants(also known as RODAM)study were analyzed with logistic regression for geographical differences in FLI and associations with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),waist-to-hip ratio,and 10-year predicted risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease(ASCVD).Results:Both FLI and the proportion with an FLI indicative of MAFLD steatosis(FLI≥60)were higher in migrants compared with *** of elevated FLI(FLI≥60)in non-migrant males was 4.2%compared to 28.9%in *** females,a similar gradient was observed,from 13.6%to 36.6%*** to rural residents,the odds for a FLI≥60 were higher in migrants living in urban Europe(odds ratio[OR]9.02,95%confidence interval[CI]:5.02–16.20 for men,and 4.00,95%CI:3.00–5.34 for women).Compared to controls,the ORs for FLI≥60 were 2.43(95%CI:1.73–3.41)for male T2DM cases and 2.02(95%CI:1.52–2.69)for female T2DM ***-unit higher FLI was associated with an elevated(≥7.5%)10-year ASCVD risk(OR:1.051,95%CI:1.041–1.062 for men,and 1.020,95%CI:1.015–1.026 for women).Conclusions:FLI as a proxy for MAFLD increased stepwise in Ghanaians from rural areas,through urban areas,to *** results clearly warrant awareness for MAFLD in migrant population as well as confirmation with imaging modalities.
