The beha.ior of non-Newtonian power-law nanofluids under free convection heat transfer conditions in a cooled square enclosure equipped with a heated fin is investigated *** particular,the im.act of nanofluids,com.osed of water and Al_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),and Cu nanoparticles,on heat transfer enhancem.nt is *** aim.of this research is also to analyze the influence of different param.ters,including the Rayleigh num.er(Ra=10^(4)-10^(6)),nanoparticle volum. fraction(φ=0%-20%),non-Newtonian power-law indexes(n=0.6-1.4),and fin dim.nsions(Ar=0.3,0.5,and 0.7).Stream.ines and isotherm. are used to depict flow and related heat transfer *** indicate that therm.l perform.nce im.roves with increa.ing Rayleigh num.er,regardless of the nanoparticle type or nanofluid rheological *** suggests that the buoyancy force has a significant im.act on heat transfer,particularly near the heat *** Nusselt num.er is m.re sensitive to va.ia.ions in Cu nanoparticle volum. fractions com.ared to Al₂O₃and TiO₂.m.reover,the average Nusselt num.ers for power-law nanofluids with n1)are greater(sm.ller)than for Newtonian fluids due to the decrease(increase)in viscosity with increa.ing(decrea.ing)shear rate,at the sam. values of Rayleigh num.er Ra owing to the am.lifica.ion(attenua.ion)of the convective ***,the m.st substantial enhancem.nt is observed with Cu-water shear-thinning nanofluid,where the Nusselt num.er increases by 136%when changing from.Newtonian to shear thinning beha.ior and by 154.9%when adding 16%nanoparticle volum. ***,an even larger increase of 57%in the average Nusselt num.er is obtained on increa.ing the fin length from.0.3 to 0.7.

Tum.r-protein 53(p53)is a transcription factor(TF)encoded by TP53(Trp53 in m.ce)and is a m.ster regulator of tum.r-suppressive program.'.im.ortantly,TP53 is the m.st frequently m.tated gene in hum.n cancer,and its loss of function contributes to tum.r developm.nt,exem.lified by va.iable p53 m.ta.ions detected in 50%-75%of pancrea.ic cancers.2 From.these perceptions,a num.er of targets transcribed by p53 that confer tum.r suppression have been ***,our understanding of how p53 prevents norm.l cells from.initia.ing tum.rigenesis is still *** com.lem.nt this lim.ta.ion,herein,we established a new approach to identify underlying effectors transcribed by p53 in norm.l physiology.

Elasto-inertial m.crofluidic separa.ion offers m.ny advantages including high throughput and separa.ion *** though the separa.ion efficiency highly depends on precise control of the flow conditions,no concrete guidelines have been reported yet in elasto-inertial ***,we propose a dim.nsionless analysis for precise estim.0}on of the m.crosphere beha.iors across the interface of Newtonian and viscoelastic *** num.er,m.dified Weissenberg num.er,and m.dified elastic num.er are used to investigate the balance between inertial and elastic lift *** on the findings,we introduce a new dim.nsionless num.er defined as the width of the Newtonian fluid stream.divided by m.crosphere *** proposed dim.nsionless analysis allows us to predict whether the m.crospheres m.grate across the co-flow *** theoretical estim.0}on is found to be in good agreem.nt with the experim.ntal results using 2.1-and 3.2-μm.diam.ter polystyrene m.crospheres in a co-flow of water and polyethylene oxide *** on the theoretical estim.0}on,we also rea.ize subm.cron separa.ion of the m.crospheres with 2.1 and 2.5μm.in diam.ter at high throughput,high purity(>95%),and high recovery rate(>97%).The applica.ility of the proposed m.thod was va.idated by separa.ion of platelets from.sim.lar-sized Escherichia coli(***).

in this study,a calcium.phosphate coa.ing was form.d on a m.-m.-Ce alloy by the plasm. electrolytic oxida.ion(PEO).The antibiotic vancom.cin,widely used in the treatm.nt of infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus(***),was im.regnated into the *** with vancom.cin showed high bactericidal activity against *** m.cha.ical and electrochem.cal properties of the form.d coa.ings were studied,as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and in vivo tests on m.ture m.le rats were *** to SEm.EDS,XRD and XPS data,coa.ings had a developed m.rphology and contained hydroxyapa.ite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughness of coa.ings without and with vancom.cin did not reveal any differences,confirm.ng the high roughness of the *** electrochem.cal tests,an increase in corrosion resistance by m.re than two tim.s after the applica.ion of PEO coa.ings was *** to the results of an in vivo study,after 28 days of the im.lanta.ion of sam.les with calcium.phosphate PEO coa.ing and vancom.cin,no signs of inflam.a.ion were observed,while an inflam.atory reaction developed in the area of im.lanta.ion of bare alloy,followed by *** release tests from.the coa.ings show a sharp decrease in the concentra.ion of the released antibiotic on day 7 and then a gradual decrease until day *** the experim.nt,no significant devia.ions in the condition and beha.ior of the a.im.ls were observed;clinical tests did not reveal a system.c toxic reaction.

The discovery of efficient,selective,and stable electrocatalysts can be a key point to produce the largescale chem.cal fuels via electrochem.cal CO_(2) reduction(ECR).in this study,an earth-abundant and nontoxic ZnO-based electrocatalyst was developed for use in gas-diffusion electrodes(GDE),and the effect of nitrogen(N)doping on the ECR activity of ZnO electrocatalysts was ***,a ZnO nanosheet was prepared via the hydrotherm.l m.thod,and nitrida.ion was perform.d at different tim.s to control the N-doping *** an increase in the N-doping content,the m.rphological properties of the nanosheet changed significantly,nam.ly,the 2D nanosheets transform.d into irregularly shaped ***,the ECR perform.nce of Zn O electrocatalysts with different N-doping content was assessed in 1.0 m.KHCO_(3) electrolyte using a gas-diffusion electrode-based ECR *** the ECR activity increased after a sm.ll am.unt of N doping,it decreased for higher N doping *** them.the N:ZnO-1 h electrocatalysts showed the best CO selectivity,with a faradaic efficiency(FE_(CO))of 92.7%at-0.73 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE),which was greater than that of an undoped Zn O electrocatalyst(FE_(CO)of 63.4%at-0.78 V_(RHE)).Also,the N:ZnO-1 h electrocatalyst exhibited outstanding dura.ility for 16 h,with a partial current density of-92.1 m. cm.(-2).This im.rovem.nt of N:ZnO-1 h electrocatalyst can be explained by density functional theory calcula.ions,dem.nstra.ing that this im.rovem.nt of N:ZnO-1 h electrocatalyst com.s from.ⅰ)the optim.zed active sites lowering the free energy barrier for the rate-determ.ning step(RDS),and(ⅱ)the m.difica.ion of electronic structure enhancing the electron transfer rate by N doping.
