The primary goal of this study is to develop a composite material from the anthill and chicken eggshell and to use it as a catalyst for the synthesis of biodiesel from virgin and waste vegetable *** anthill-eggshell composite(AEC)catalyst was prepared using an incipient wetness impregnation *** composite design(CCD)was applied to investigate the effects of catalyst preparation parameters(calcination temperature,calcination time,and anthill proportion in the AEC)on the yields of biodiesel from the two *** on the CCD,two quadratic models were developed to correlate the AEC preparation parameters to the two *** of variance(ANOVA)was performed to verify the reliability of the models and also,identify the factor that mostly affects the experimental design *** results showed that the predicted values of biodiesel yield from the models for the two oils agreed reasonably well with the experimental *** optimum conditions for the preparation of AEC catalyst for the transesterification process were calcination temperature of 1000℃,calcination time of 4 h,and anthill proportion of 20% to achieve 97.13%yield of biodiesel from virgin vegetable *** the same optimum parameters,the yield of biodiesel from waste vegetable oil was found to be 70.92%.

L-Arginine Supplementation Mitigates Dichlorvos-Induced Haematocardiotoxicity, and Oxidative Stress in Male Wistar Rats

Due to its toxicity, dichlorvos—a common organophosphate pesticide—poses significant risks to human health. This study utilized male Wistar rats to explore the potential protective effects of L-arginine supplementation against dichlorvos-induced toxicity, focusing on cardiotoxicity, haematotoxicity and oxidative stress. The rats were divided into four groups: Control, L-arginine (L), Dichlorvos (D), and L-arginine + Dichlorvos (L + D). Dichlorvos was administered to the D group, L-arginine (100 mg/kg) to the L group, and both L-arginine and dichlorvos to the L + D group. The study evaluated various parameters, including cardiovascular, oxidative stress markers, and haematological indices. Significant changes in haematological parameters such as haemoglobin (Hb), haematocrit (HCT), and red blood cell count (RBC) indicated haematotoxicity after dichlorvos administration. Additionally, elevated cardiac markers, including lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB), suggested cardiotoxic effects. Exposure to dichlorvos also resulted in decreased antioxidant enzyme levels and increased oxidative stress indicators like malondialdehyde (MDA). Remarkably, L-arginine supplementation mitigated the damage caused by dichlorvos. It normalized the altered haematological parameters, demonstrating its protective effect against haematotoxicity. The rise in cardiac markers was reduced with L-arginine supplementation, indicating protection against cardiotoxicity. Moreover, L-arginine significantly decreased oxidative stress, as evidenced by lower MDA levels and restored antioxidant enzyme activity. In conclusion, L-arginine supplementation in male Wistar rats showed promising protective effects against dichlorvos-induced cardiotoxicity, haematotoxicity and oxidative stress. This suggests that L-arginine may offer a beneficial intervention to mitigate the adverse effects of dichlorvos on blood and heart health, paving the way for potential treatments for pesticide poison

Indo-Burmese region was the primary center of eggplant diversity from where the crop extended to several secondary origins of *** this study,the genetic diversity among fifty-six eggplant accessions collected from three countries was assessed using sixteen polymorphic SSR markers to determine suitable parents for heterotic *** estimation of genetic diversity among the population of three countries(Bangladesh,Malaysia,and Thailand)varied from 0.57 to 0.74,with Shannon’s index value of *** mean value of expected heterozygosity and Nei’s index was 0.49,with an average PIC value of 0.83.A dendrogram was constructed based on UPGMA(unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean),and the dendrogram categorized all accessions into six *** AMOVA(analysis of molecular variance)revealed a 77%total variation within the population from three different countries and 23%total variation among the *** result revealed a high genetic differentiation among the eggplant germplasms while the accessions that are farther from each other show a high level of diversity;thus,they can be recommended as parental in breeding ***,accessions,EB12,ET11,ET13,ET15,ET16,and ET17 could be crossed with accessions EM3,EB34,and EB3 for improvement in the future breeding program.

A mathematical analysis has been carried out to investigate the effect of internal heat generation/absorption on steady two-dimensional radiative magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)boundary-layer flow of a viscous,incompressible nanofluid over a vertical plate.A system of governing nonlinear PDEs is converted into a set of nonlinear ODEs by suitable similarity transformations and then solved analytically using HAM and numerically by the fourth order Runge–Kutta integration scheme with shooting *** effects of different controlling parameters on the dimensionless velocity,temperature and nanoparticle volume fraction profiles are discussed *** reduced Nusslet number and the local Sherwood number are *** is found that the nanosolid volume fraction profile decreases in the presence of heat generation and increases in the case of heat absorption and a reverse trend is observed in velocity *** excellent agreement is observed between present analytical and numerical ***,comparisons have been made with bench mark solutions for a special case and obtained a very good agreement.

The paper presents a study of urban heat island (UHI) intensity and its impact on air quality by using the System of Air Quality Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) network observations over Delhi during the clear sky month of December of 2013 and 2015. It is found that in the month of December 2013 and 2015 the UHI shows a peak in late evening around 20:00 hrs. The concentration of PM2.5 shows a bimodal peak in the month of December of both the years 2013 and 2015 which is due to the enhanced anthropogenic activity during the traffic hours. The formation of UHI during the late evening traffic hours is due to the enhancement in the concentration of PM2.5 due to the enhanced anthropogenic activity with higher ground heat flux and lower PBLH and wind speed which leads to both the years 2013 and 2015 during the month of December. It is also found that UHI intensity shows a positive correlation (r = 0.57) with PM2.5 concentration and a negative correlation (r = -0.40) with wind speed and the PM2.5 concentration also shows a negative correlation (r = -0.57) with wind speed during December 2013. Whereas during December 2015 it has found that UHI intensity has a positive correlation (r = 0.65) with PM2.5 concentration and a negative correlation (r = -0.45) with wind speed and the PM2.5 concentration also shows a negative correlation (r = -0.57) with wind speed.
