Dosage of chemotherapeutic drugs is a tradeoff between efficacy and *** are nanocarriers that increase therapy efficacy and minimize side-effects by delivering otherwise difficult to administer therapeutics with improved efficiency and ***,variabilities in liposome preparation require assessing drug encapsulation efficiency at the single liposome level,an information that,for non-fluorescent therapeutic cargos,is inaccessible due to the minute drug load per *** induced resonance (PTIR) provides nanoscale compositional specificity,up to now,by leveraging an atomic force microscope (AFM) tip contacting the sample to transduce the sample's photothermal ***,on soft samples (e.g.,liposomes) PTIR effectiveness is reduced due to the likelihood of tip-induced sample damage and inefficient AFM ***,individual liposomes loaded with the chemotherapeutic drug cytarabine are deposited intact from suspension via nano-electrospray gas-phase electrophoretic mobility molecular analysis (nES-GEMMA) collection and characterized at the nanoscale with the chemically-sensitive PTIR method.A new tapping-mode PTIR imaging paradigm based on heterodyne detection is shown to be better adapted to measure soft samples,yielding cytarabine distribution in individual liposomes and enabling classification of empty and drug-loaded *** measurements highlight PTIR capability to detect ~ 103 cytarabine molecules (~ 1.7 zmol) label-free and non-destructively.

Mechanism and Kinetic of Free Radical Reactions for Propane Using theoretical Calculations

Quantum calculation method has been used to understand and investigate the free radical reactions of propane with hydroxyl radical in vacuum through modern quantum mechanics that is package on hyperchem 8.02 program. Optimized structures and structural reactivates have been studied through bond stability and angles using DFT calculation based on the basis set 6-31G*. Energetic properties have been calculated like total energy, Gibbs free energy, entropy, heat of formation, and rate constant for all chemical species that"s participate in the suggested reaction mechanism. Reaction mechanism and rate determining step had been suggested according to calculation of energy barrier values, and compares between the suggested competitive reactions for each probable reaction step. Suggested structures and the probable transition states have been studied.

An economical and environmental sustainability of bioplastic production is dependent on the use of low cost and waste C-sources as raw materials. OMW (Olive Mill Wastewater) with its high organic load represents a dangerous polluting waste. Herein the authors present an integrated process for the simultaneous recovery of polyphenols, high value natural antioxidants, production of PHAs (polyhydroxyalkanotes), thermoplastic bio-polymers, in particular of PHB (poly-3-hydroxybutyrate) starting from OMW. The combination of membrane filtration and bacterial digestion of OMW resulted in very high yields of polyphenols (32.5 g/L) and PHB (31.4 mg/L·h) if compared with the state of the art. These results make the technical approach described here effective for reducing the polluting effect of OMW and maximizing the valuable product yield. Moreover the process is readily suitable for an industrial scale PHB production from OMW.
