At present,the power system is more inclined towards disturbances,such as voltage variations and unbalanced load conditions,due to the grid's complexity and load *** challenges emphasize the integration of the compensating devices,such as battery storage(BS)and *** this regard,this current paper exhibits a novel energy management system(EMS)of a combined BS and D-STATCOM to compensate the power system during *** EMS is based on a fractional order sliding mode control(FOSMC)to drive the voltage source converters(VSCs)such that the active power is independently absorbed/injected by the BS,whereas the reactive power is independently absorbed/injected by the D-STATCOM depending upon the disturbance *** is a robust non-linear controller in which the Riemann-Liouville(RL)function is employed to design the sliding surface and the exponential reaching law is used to minimize the chattering *** stability of the FOSMC in the proposed EMS is proved using the Lyapunov candidate *** order to validate the performance of the proposed EMS,a model of a 400 V,180 kVA radial distributor along with a BS and D-STATCOM is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment in two test *** results prove that the proposed EMS with FOMSC effectively compensates the power system under voltage variations and unbalanced load conditions with rapid tracking,fast convergence and upright ***,the results have been compared with the classical proportional integral(PI)control and fixed frequency SMC(FFSMC),and they demonstrate the superiority of the proposed EMS with FOSMC in power system applications.

Networks provide a significant function in everyday life,and cybersecurity therefore developed a critical field of *** Intrusion detection system(IDS)becoming an essential information protection strategy that tracks the situation of the software and hardware operating on the *** advancements of growth,current intrusion detection systems also experience difficulties in enhancing detection precision,growing false alarm levels and identifying suspicious *** order to address above mentioned issues,several researchers concentrated on designing intrusion detection systems that rely on machine learning *** learning models will accurately identify the underlying variations among regular information and irregular information with incredible *** intelligence,particularly machine learning methods can be used to develop an intelligent intrusion detection *** in this article in order to achieve this objective,we propose an intrusion detection system focused on a Deep extreme learning machine(DELM)which first establishes the assessment of safety features that lead to their prominence and then constructs an adaptive intrusion detection system focusing on the important *** the moment,we researched the viability of our suggested DELMbased intrusion detection system by conducting dataset assessments and evaluating the performance factors to validate the system *** experimental results illustrate that the suggested framework outclasses traditional *** fact,the suggested framework is not only of interest to scientific research but also of functional importance.

Types of Irrigation Water and Soil Amendment Affect the Growth and Flowering of Petunia x alkinsiana ‘Bravo Pinc’

Water insufficiency is the hampering feature of crop sustainability,especially in arid and semi-arid ***,the effectual usage of all water resources especially underground brackish water represents the core priority in Saudi *** present study aimed to recognize the influence of different types of water irrigation(tap water as a control,salinized well water,and magnetized salinized well water)with or without soil amendments(soil without any amendment as a control,peat-moss,ferrous sulfate,and peat-moss plus ferrous sulfate)on petunia plant growth and flowering as well as ion *** Petunia plants with saline well water adversely affected growth and flowering as compared to tap water and magnetized saline well ***,plants irrigated with magnetized water showed a significant enhancement in all the studied vegetative and flowering growth parameters as compared to those irrigated with salinized well ***,mineral contents and survival of Petunia plants irrigated with magnetized well water were higher than those irrigated with tap *** with magnetized well water significantly reduced levels of Na+and Cl−ions in leaves of Petunia plants indicating the role of magnetization in alleviating harmful effects of *** conclusion,we recommend the utilization of magnetized saline well water for irrigating Petunia plants either alone or in combination with soil amendments(peat moss plus ferrous sulfate).

The enlarged veins in the pampiniform venous plexus,known as varicocele disease,are typically identified using ultrasound *** diagnosis of varicocele is based on examinations made in three positions taken to the right and left testicles of the male *** proposed system is designed to determine whether a patient is *** is more frequent on the left side of the scrotum than on the right and physicians commonly depend on the supine position more than other ***,the experimental results of this study focused on images taken in the supine position of the left testicles of *** are two possible vein structures in each image:a cross-section(circular)and a tube(non-circular)*** proposed system identifies dilated(varicocele)veins of these structures in ultrasound images in three stages:preprocessing,processing,and detection and *** three stages are applied in three different color modes:Grayscale,Red-Green-Blue(RGB),and Hue,Saturation,and Value(HSV).In the preprocessing stage,the region of interest enclosing the pampiniform plexus area is extracted using a median filter and threshold ***,the processing stage employs different filters to perform image ***,edge detection is applied in multiple steps and the detected veins are measured to determine if dilated veins *** implementation results showed the proposed system is faster andmore effective than the previous work.

Molecular Phylogenetic Lineage of Plagiopogon and Askenasia(Protozoa, Ciliophora) Revealed by Their Gene Sequences

Prostomates and haptorians are two ba.al groups of ciliates with limited morphological characteristics available for tax- onomy. Morphologically, the structures used to identify prostomates and haptorians are similar or even identical, which generate heavy taxonomic and phylogenetic confusion. In present work, phylogenetic positions lineage of two rare genera, Plagiopogon and Askenasia, were investigated. Three genes including small subunit ribosomal RNA gene （hereafter SSU rDNA）, internal transcribed spacer region （ITS region）, and large subunit ribosomal RNA gene （LSU rDNA） were a.alyzed, 10 new sequences five species each. Our findings included 1） class Prostomatea and order Haptorida are multiphyletic; 2） it may not be appropriate to place order Cyclotriehiida in subclass Haptoria, and the systematic lineage of order Cyclotrichiida needs to be verified further; 3） genus Plagio- pogon branches consistently within a clade covering most prostomes and is ba.al of clade Colepidae, implying its close lineage to Prostomatea; and 4） Askenasia is phylogenetically distant from the subclass Haptoria but close to classes Prostomatea, Plagiopylea and Oligohymenophorea. We supposed that the toxicyst of Askenasia may be close to taxa of prostomes instead of haptorians, and the dorsal brush is a more typical morphological characteristics of haptorians than toxicysts.

Bulging in incremental sheet forming of cold bonded multi-layered Cu clad sheet: Influence of forming conditions and bending

Bulge is a defect that causes geometrical inaccuracy and premature failure in the innovative incremental sheet forming (ISF) process. This study has two-fold objectives:(1) knowing the bulging behavior of a Cu clad tri-layered steel sheet as a function of forming conditions, and (2) a.alyzing the bending effect on bulging in an attempt to identify the associated mechanism. A series of ISF tests and bending a.alysis are performed to realize these objectives. From the cause-effect a.alysis, it is found that bulge formation in the layered sheet is sensitive to forming conditions in a way that bulging can be minimized utilizing annealed material and performing ISF with larger tool diameter and step size. The bending under tension a.alysis reveals that the formation of bulge is an outgrowth of bending moment that the forming tool applies on the sheet during ISF. Furthermore, the magnitude of bending moment depending upon the forming conditions varies from 0.046 to 10.24 N·m/m and causes a corresponding change in the mean bulge height from 0.07 to 0.91 mm. The bending moment governs bulging in layered sheet through a linear law. These findings lead to a conclusion that the bulge defect can be overcome by controlling the bending moment and the formula proposed can be helpful in this regards.

Two new bioactive salsolanol and biphenylsalsinol from the aerial parts of Salsola villosa Delile. ex Schul.(Chenopodiaceae) growing in Saudi Arabia

Objective: To isolate and characterize the bioactive secondary metabolites from aerial parts of widespread Chenopodiaceae taxa growing in Saudi Arabia: Salsola villosa Delile. ex Schul. Methods: Antibacterial activities of chloroformic extract, fractions and isolate compounds was evaluated against five bacterial strains(Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis), using a paper disc diffusion method. The purification of compound(s) of chloroform extract was done by chromatographic column of silica gel. The structure elucidation was determined by extensive spectroscopic a.alysis(1H and 13 C nuclear magnetic resonance, correlation spectroscopy, heteronuclear multiple bond correlation, heteronuclear multiple quantum coherence and nuclear overhauser enhancement spectroscopy) and high resolution electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy ***: Bioactivity guided fractionation of the chloroformic extract led to the isolation of two bioactive compounds: 4-(4'-hydroxy-2'-methylcyclopent-2'-enyloxy)-4-methylcyclopent-2-enol(1) named salsolanol and 4'-[3-(hydroxymethyl)oxiran-2-yl]-3-[(E)-3-hydroxyprop-1-en-1-yl]-6, 2'-dimethoxy [1, 1'-biphenyl]-2-ol(2) named biphenylsalsinol. The antibacterial effects of the chloroform extracts, fractions and isolated compounds 1 and 2 were also evaluated in this work. Results showed that the compounds 1 and 2 exhibited antibacterial activities against four strains: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa with diameter of zone of inhibition ranging between(9.33 ± 0.94) to(26.33 ± 0.94) ***: Based on data presented here, two new natural compounds secondary cyclic alcohol 1 and biphenylpropanoid 2 isolated from bioactive chloroformic extract from aerial parts of Salsola villosa can be responsible for its antibacterial activities.
