Anisotropic alignments of hierarchical Li2SiO3/TiO2@nano-C anode//LiMnPO4@nano-C cathode architectures for full-cell lithium-ion battery

We report on low-cost fabrication and high-energy density of full-cell lithium-ion battery （LiB） ***-hierarchical electrode architectures of Li2SiO3/TiO2@nano-carbon anode （***@nano-C） and high-voltage olivine LiMnPO4@nano-carbon cathode （LMPO@nano-C） are designed for half-and full-system LiB-CR2032 coin cell *** the basis of primary architecture-power-driven LiB geometrics,the structure keys including three-dimensional （3D） modeling superhierarchy,multiscale micro/nano architectures and anisotropic surface heterogeneity affect the buildup design of anode/cathode LiB *** hierarchical electrode surface topologies enable continuous in-/out-flow rates and fast transport pathways of Li+-ions during charge/discharge *** stacked layer configurations of pouch LiB-types lead to excellent charge/discharge rate,and energy density of237.6 Wh *** the most promising LiB-configurations,the high specific energy density of hierarchical pouch battery systems may improve energy storage for long-driving range of electric ***,the anisotropic alignments of hierarchical electrode architectures in the large-scale LiBs provide proof of excellent ca.a.ity storage and outstanding durability and *** full-system LiB-CR2032 coin cell models maintain high specific ca.a.ity of～89.8%within a long-term life period of2000 cycles,and average Coulombic efficiency of99.8%at 1C rate for future configuration of LiB manufacturing and commercialization challenges.

Diabetes mellitus,particularly type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),poses a significant global health *** ma.a.ement strategies primarily focus on glycemic control;however,there is a growing need for comprehensive approaches addressing the complex pathophysiology of diabetes *** recent study by Attia et al explores the potential of a novel therapy combining metformin with cholecalciferol(vitamin D3)and taurine to mitigate T2DM-related complications in a rat *** findings indicate that this treatment combination improves glycemic control and reduces oxidative stress,inflammation,and lipid ***,the study is limited by a lack of safety profile da.a.and in-depth molecular mechanism *** editorial critically highlights the study's strengths and weaknesses,compares it a.a.nst other combination therapy research in T2DM,and underscores the need to explore further the mechanisms underpinning the observed therapeutic effects and investigate the safety profile of this novel approach.

Gallbladder carcinoma in the era of artificial intelligence: Early diagnosis for better treatment

Gallbladder carcinoma(GBC)is the most common malignant tumor of biliary tract,with poor prognosis due to its aggressive nature and limited therapeutic *** detection of GBC is a major challenge,with most GBCs being detected accidentally during cholecystectomy procedures for gallbladder *** letter comments on the recent article by Deqing et al in the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology,which summarized the various current methods used in early diagnosis of GBC,including endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)examination of the gallbladder for high-risk GBC patients,and the use of EUS-guided elasto-graphy,contrast-enhanced EUS,trans-papillary biopsy,natural orifice translu-minal endoscopic surgery,magnifying endoscopy,choledochoscopy,and confocal laser endomicroscopy when necessary for early diagnosis of ***,there is a need for novel methods for early GBC diagnosis,such as the use of artificial intelligence and non-coding RNA biomarkers for improved screening ***,the use of in vitro and animal models may provide critical insights for advancing early detection and treatment strategies of this aggressive tumor.

in this paper, the q-a.a.ogue of the Stirling formula for the q-gamma function （Moak formula） is exploited to prove the complete monotonicity properties of some functions involving the q-gamma.a.d the q-polygamma functions for all real number q 〉 0. The monotonicity of these functions is used to establish sharp inequalities for the q-gamma.a.d the q-polygamma functions and the q-Harmonic number. Our results are shown to be a generalization of results which were obtained by Selvi and Batir [23].

Effect of eccentricity in reinforced concrete beam-column-slab connection under cyclic loading

Beam-column connections are one of the most critical elements of reinforced concrete structures,especially in seismically active regions,and have been extensively evaluated experimentally and ***,very limited experimental studies about eccentric reinforced concrete connections including the effect of connected slabs are *** study presents the experimental results of two half-scale eccentric beam-column-slab connections subjected to quasi-static cyclic *** horizontal eccentricity(eh)is maintained at 12.5%and 25%of column width(bc)for specimens 1 and 2,*** da.a.e pattern,performance levels,displacement ductility(μD),energy dissipation,and connection strength and stiffness are compared for both specimens,and the effect of eccentricity is *** is concluded that the eccentricity has no significant effect on the lateral load carrying ca.a.ity;however,the overall strength degra.a.ion increases with the increase in ***,the elastic stiffness of specimen 2 decreased by 14%as the eccentricity increased from 12.5%to 25%;however,the eccentricity had no significant effect on the overall stiffness degra.a.ion.μD decreased by 43%,and the energy dissipation ca.a.ity decreased by 40%in specimen 2 with higher *** story drifts corresponding to the performance levels of the life safety(LS)and collapse prevention(CP)were found to be 28%lesser in specimen 2 than in specimen 1.

Reliable planning of isolated Building integrated Photovoltaic systems

in this paper,two probabilistic reliability indices are presented to define the effect of clouds on different types of Building integrated Photovoltaic(BiPV)*** indices do not match the main features of photovoltaic(PV)sources,such as variability,uncertainty and dependency on weather *** addition,they are time indicators that describe the percentage of total failure time per year without any indication about power or energy *** using the a.a.lable Geographic information System solar-irradiation da.a.ase,the proposed indices consider a similar pattern of expected daily solar irradiation as a model of PV *** different models are studied for diverse building loads:an energy model for flexible loads and a constant-power model for critical loads.A compa.a.ive study is implemented for six different locations:Cairo,London,Berlin,Beijing,Madrid and ***,three types of BiPV systems are studied:fixed,double-axis-tracking and concentrated PV *** presented results show the effects of clouds,PV type and locations on the system performance.

Natural convection of non-Newtonian power-law fluid over axisymmetric and two-dimensional bodies of arbitrary shape in fluid-saturated porous media

Numerical a.a.ysis of the free convection coupled heat and mass transfer is presented for non-Newtonian power-law fluids with the yield stress flowing over a two-dimensional or axisymmetric body of an arbitrary shape in a fluid-saturated porous medium. The governing boundary layer equations and boundary conditions are cast into a dimensionless form by the similarity transformation. The resulting system of equations is solved by a finite difference method. The pa.a.eters studied are the rheological constants, the buoyancy ratio, and the Lewis number. Representative velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles are presented and discussed. it is found that the results depend strongly on the values of the yield stress pa.a.eter and the power-law index of the non-Newtonian fluid.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is one of the most lethal neoplasms worldwide and represents the vast majority of pancreatic cancer *** the molecular pathogenesis and the underlying mechanisms involved in the initiation,maintenance,and progression of PDAC is an urgent need,which may lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies a.a.nst this deadly ***,we review the role of SET and MYND domaincontaining protein 2(SMYD2)in initiating and maintaining PDAC development through methylating multiple tumor suppressors and oncogenic *** the broad substrate specificity of SMYD2 and its involvement in diverse oncogenic signaling pathways in many other cancers,the mechanistic extrapolation of SMYD2 from these cancers to PDAC may allow for developing new hypotheses about the mechanisms driving PDAC tumor growth and metastasis,supporting a proposition that targeting SMYD2 could be a powerful strategy for the prevention and treatment of PDAC.
