Fossil cephalopods are frequently encrusted by epibionts;however,determining whether encrustation occurred prior to or post-mortem to the host,and whether the final environment of deposition corresponds to the habitat of encrustation is *** present paper describes cirripede epibionts,their calcareous bases and their attachment scars on 6 post-mortem shells of nautilus macromphalus,collected from deep water off new Cale*** cirripedes have left both cemented calcareous bases of Hexelasma and scars associated with bioerosion and discoloration produced by verrucomorph *** cirripedes included a Metaverruca recta,with articulated opercular plates and organic tissue(on a shell that had been exposed on the sea floor for at least 150 years),and specimens of Hexelasma velutinum,one of which was partly attached to an internal surface of a *** disposition of verrucomorphs indicates that most nautilus shells were colonized post-mortem rather than during a floating ***,as cirripedes are known to have colonized living nautilus,some Hexelasma,preserved only as calcareous eroded bases,may represent specimens that settled on a living *** degree of bioerosion and discoloration induced by verrucomorph barnacles varies according to the surface preservation of nautilus shells,with deeper and discolored traces preserved on old and degraded *** made by verrucomorphs described here are ellipsoidal and a new ichnotaxon,Anellusichnus ellipticus,is proposed to accommodate ***,verrucomorphs and other cirripede taxa with membranous bases that were attached to pristine shells may not leave any substantial scars,and,thus,will be difficult to detect in the fossil record.

The use of constructed wetlands to treat municipal wastewater reduces energy consumption and therefore economic costs,as well as reduces environmental *** purpose of this study was to compare the purification capacity of domestic wastewater using two species of plants sown in subsurface constructed wetlands with vertical flow built on a small scale that received municipal wastewater with primary *** species used were Phragmites Australis and Cyperus *** this purpose,a constant flow of 0.6 m3 day-1 was fed from the primary lagoon to each of the two wetlands built on a pilot scale with continuous *** unit was filled with granite gravel in the lower part and with silicic sand in the upper part of different granulometry,the porosity of the medium was 0.34,with a retention time of 1.12 days and a hydraulic load rate of 0.2 m *** analyze the purification capacity of wastewater,physical,chemical and biological parameters were monitored during three *** were taken at the entrance and exit in each experimental *** results obtained in the experimental tests for the two species of plants,indicated that the Cyperus Papyrus presented a greater capacity of pollutants removal as biochemical oxygen demand (80.69%),chemical oxygen demand (69.87%),ammoniacal nitrogen (69.69%),total phosphorus (50%),total coliforms (98.08%) and fecal coliforms (95.61%).In the case of Phragmites Australis retains more *** species with greater efficiency in the treatment of municipal wastewater for this study was Cyperus Papyrus.

Drought, flood, salinity, or a combination of these limits rice production. Several rice varieties are well known for their tolerance to specific abiotic stresses. We determined genetic relationship among 12 rice varieties including 9 tolerant to drought, flood, or salinity using inter-simple sequence repeat （ISSR） markers. Based on all markers, the nine tolerant varieties formed one cluster distinct from the cluster of three control varieties. The salt-tolerant varieties were closest to two flood-tolerant varieties, and together they were distinct from the drought-tolerant varieties. （GA）8YG was the most informative primer, showing the highest polymorphic information content （PIC） and resolving power （Rp）. The drought-, flood-, and salt-tolerant varieties grouped in three distinct clusters within the group of tolerant varieties, when （GA）8YG was used. Sabita was the only exception. The two aus varieties, nagina22 and FR13A, were separated and grouped with the drought- and flood-tolerant varieties, respectively, hut they were together in dendrograms based on other primers. The results show that ISSR markers associated with （GA）sYG delineated the three groups of stress-tolerant varieties from each other and can be used to identify genes/new alleles associated with the three abiotic stresses in rice germplasm.

In this paper,a simple and cheap method to prepare porous ZnO by using zinc nitrate,ethanol and triethanolamine(TEA)is *** as-prepared sample consisted of nano and micro *** sample was calcined at 300℃,400℃and 500℃with different heating *** 500℃,the nano pores disappeared but the sample maintained its micro *** emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)pictures confirmed that the size and growth of ZnO nanoparticles depended on the heating *** infrared(IR)absorption peak of Zn-O stretch.ng vibration positioned at 457 cm^(-1)was split into two peaks centered at 518 cm^(-1)and 682 cm^(-1)with the ch.nge of *** results confirmed that Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectrum was sensitive to variations in particle size,shape and *** photoluminescence(PL)spectrum of porous ZnO contained five emission peaks at 397 nm,437 nm,466 nm,492 nm and 527 *** intensity enhanced monotonously with increase of temperature and the ch.nge was rapid between temperatures of 300℃and 500℃.This was due to the elimination of organic species and improvement in the crystallanity of the sample at 500℃.

The fluorescence spectra and photodimerization of naphthalene end-laballed poly(ethylene glycol) oligomers (n-Pn-n) in methanol in the prescence of alkali cations have been investigated. The ion enhances or inhibits intramolecular excimer formation and photodimerization of n-Pn-n, depending on the size of the ion and the length of the polyether chain. This observation suggests that the polyether chain binds the ion, thus adopts a crown ether-like conformation.

In this paper we propose an efcient process of physiological artifact elimination methodology from brain waves(BW),which are also commonly known as electroencephalogram(EEG)*** a clinical environment during the acquisition of BW several artifacts contaminates the actual BW *** leads to inaccurate and ambiguous *** the statistical nature of the EEG signal is more non-stationery,adaptive ltering is the more promising method for the process of artifact *** clinical conditions,the conventional adaptive techniques require many numbers of computational operations and leads to data samples overlapping and instability of the algorithm *** causes delay in diagnosis and decision *** overcome this problem in our work we propose to set a threshold value to diminish the problem of round off *** resultant adaptive algorithm based on this strategy is non-linear Least mean square(nL2MS)***,to improve this algorithm in terms of ltering capability we perform data normalization,using this algorithm several hybrid versions are developed to improve ltering and reduce computational *** the method,a new signal enhancement unit(SEU)is realized and performance of various hybrid versions of algorithms examined using real EEG signals recorded from the *** ability of the proposed schemes is measured in terms of convergence,enhancement and multiplications *** various SEUs,the MCn2L 2MS algorithm achieves 14.6734,12.8732,10.9257,15.7790 dB during the artifact removal of RA,EMG,CSA and EBA components with only two ***,this algorithm seems to be better candidate for artifact elimination.

Geochemical studies of hybrid granite from Madugulapalli area, Eastern Dharwar Craton, Southern India: Implications for crustal mixing

Magma produced by melting of continental crust and mantle at the Archean-Proterozoic boundary are compositionally variable and chemical compositions provide evidence for the mixing of two sources. Understanding the composition of hybrid magma is essential for determining the comparative infl uence of crust and mantle sources during orogenesis. The hybrid granites are less documented in Indian cratons, especially less in Dharwar Craton. Here we present petrographic and whole-rock geochemical data of Madgulapalli granitic rocks situated in the nE part of the Eastern Dharwar Craton(EDC), to elucidate their petrogenesis and role in crust formation. The Madugulapalli granites(MPG) are composed chiefl y of plagioclase, quartz, and alkali feldspar with associated biotite showing alteration and inter-granular textures. Geochemically, they are metaluminous to peraluminous in nature with calc-alkaline hybrid granite. The hybrid granites exhibit both negative and positive europium anomalies;the lower Rb/Sr, Rb, Sr, and higher Sr/Y,(Dy/Yb)n ratios suggest that the interaction of older rocks with residual garnet source melted at high pressures. We hypothesize that hybrid granites are formed by interaction(e.g., metasomatism, mingling, or mixing) between parental magmas and pre-existing rocks with the infl uence of sanukitoid melts(heat source) in a subduction environment. The genesis of the hybrid granites demonstrates the mixing coupled with diff erentiation in the petrogeny’s residue system in a syn-collision setting followed by continental crust stability in EDC during the neoarchean period.

This paper generalizes the method of ng6 and Winkler （2010, 2011） for finding rational general solutions of a first order non-autonomous algebraic ordinary differential equation （AODE） to the case of a higher order AODE, provided a proper parametrization of its solution hypersurface. The authors reduce the problem of finding the rational general solution of a higher order AODE to finding the rational general solution of an associated system. The rational general solutions of the original AODE and its associated system are in computable 1-1 correspondence. The authors give necessary and sufficient conditions for the associated system to have a rational solution based on proper reparametrization of invariant algebraic space curves. The authors also relate invariant space curves to first integrals and characterize rationally solvable systems by rational first integrals.

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus and hypertension are chronic diseases that are on the rise and pose a major public health problem among the priorities of healthcare systems. Objectives: Determine the prevalence of diabetes and hypertension and describe the sociodemographic characteristics of those screened. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study organized during a diabetes and hypertension screening campaign that took place in Conakry and five (05) inland regions on november 14, 2022. Results: 2050 people were screened, of whom 33.12% were housewives, the average age was 44.78 ± 16.23 years, and 55.27% were women. The screening sites were the city of Conakry 741 (36.15%), the Labé region 424 (20.68%), the n’Zérékoré region 298 (14.54%), the Faranah region 241 (11.75%), the Mamou region 210 (10.24%) and the Boké region 136 (6.63%). The prevalence of diabetes and hypertension were respectively 12.5% and 43.38% for the Boké region;6.19% and 16.19% for the Mamou region;3.02% and 21.81% for the n’Zérékoré region;31.95% and 13.69% for the Faranah region;9.67% and 20.28% for the Labé region;2.83% and 20.28% for the city of Conakry. Conclusion: Despite the limitations of the study duration, our series highlighted the high prevalence of diabetes and hypertension among people screened on World Diabetes Day 2022. Raising public awareness of a healthy lifestyle is essential for the prevention and control of diabetes and hypertension.
