Origin of Insignificant Strengthening Effect of CNTs in T6-Treated CNT/6061Al Composites

Carbon nanotube（CNT）-reinforced 6061 Al（CNT/6061 Al） composites were fabricated via powder metallurgy combined with friction stir processing（FSP）. CNTs were dispersed after FSP and accelerated the precipitation process of the CNT/6061 Al composites. However, the strengthening effect of CNTs on the T6-treated materials was insignificant,while the composites under the FSP and solution treatment conditions exhibited increased strength compared to the ***-free zones（PFZs） were detected around CNTs in the T6-treated CNT/6061 Al composites, and a model was proposed to describe the effect of PFZs on strength. The calculations indicated that the strength of PFZs was similar to that of the T6-treated 6061 Al. As a result, the strengthening effect of CNTs on the T6-treated CNT/6061 Al composites was insignificant.

The effects of Sc and Zr microalloying on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a 7xxx Al alloy with high Cu content(7055)during casting,deformation,and heat treatment were *** addition of Sc and Zr not only refined the grains but also transformed theθ-phase into the W-phase in the 7055 *** Sc and Zr additions enhanced the hardness and yield strength of the 7055-T6 alloy by strengthening the grain boundaries and Al3(Sc,Zr)***,a further increase in the Sc and Zr fractions did not refine the grains but instead resulted in the formation of the large-sized W-phase and primary coarse Al3(Sc,Zr)phase and subsequently deteriorated the mechanical properties of the *** 7055 alloy with 0.25Sc addition exhibited the best mechanical property among the prepared alloys.

Seismic prediction of cracks is of great significance in many disciplines,for which the rock physics model is ***,up to now,multitudinous analytical models focus primarily on the cracked rock with the isotropic background,while the explicit model for the cracked rock with the anisotropic background is rarely investigated in spite of such case being often encountered in the ***,we first studied dependences of the crack opening displacement tensors on the crack dip angle in the coordinate systems formed by symmetry planes of the crack and the background anisotropy,respectively,by forty groups of numerical *** on the conclusion from the experiments,the analytical solution was derived for the effective elastic properties of the rock with the inclined penny-shaped cracks in the transversely isotropic ***,we comprehensively analyzed,according to the developed model,effects of the crack dip angle,background anisotropy,filling fluid and crack density on the effective elastic properties of the cracked *** analysis results indicate that the dip angle and background anisotropy can significantly either enhance or weaken the anisotropy degrees of the P-and SH-wave velocities,whereas they have relatively small effects on the SV-wave velocity ***,the filling fluid can increase the stiffness coefficients related to the compressional modulus by reducing crack compliance parameters,while its effects on shear coefficients depend on the crack dip *** increasing crack density reduces velocities of the dry rock,and decreasing rates of the velocities are affected by the crack dip *** comparing with exact numerical results and experimental data,it was demonstrated that the proposed model can achieve high-precision estimations of stiffness ***,the assumption of the weakly anisotropic background results in the consistency between the proposed model and Hudson's published theory for the or

A finite element model based on solid mechanics was developed with ABAQUS to study the material flow in wholeprocess of friction stir welding （FSW）, with the technique of tracer particles. Simulation results indicate that the flow pattern of thetracer particles around the pin is spiral movement. There are very different flow patterns at the upper and lower parts of the weld. Thematerial on the upper surface has the spiral downward movement that is affected by the shoulder and the lower material has the spiralupward movement that is affected by the pin. The velocity of the material flow on the periphery of the stirring pin is higher than thatat the bottom of the stirring pin. The material can be rotated with a stirring pin a few times, agreeing well with the previousexperimental observation by tungsten tracer particles.

Nanopore-based electrochemical technique is a promising tool for detecting single ***,detecting single proteins using a nanopipette in their native state without labeling is challenging due to the rapid translocation,which results in an inefficient signal *** our study,we finely tuned the driving force equilibrium between electrophoretic force(EPF)and electroosmotic flow(EOF)inside the nanopipette for efficient sensing of single glucose oxidase(GOD)*** duration time of GOD within the nanopipette is extended to about 4 *** strategy provided clear ionic current signals with a signal-to-noise ratio of *** EPF increased in the direction opposite to the motion of GOD,we observed a nonlinear growth in GOD’s duration *** extended the duration to about 4.4 times longer at−1000 mV compared to at−800 ***,nanopore-based electrochemical sensing could be used for single GOD molecule analysis as an ultrasensitive method.

The adsorption process of droplets on the liquid-liquid interface and phase separation process can regulate the spatial distribution of the fluid system,which are crucial for chemical ***,the cross-linking reaction,which is widely used in the field of polymers,can change the physical properties of the fluids and affect the flow behavior accordingly.A configuration of microchannels is designed to conveniently generate uniform droplets in one phase of the parallel *** flow behavior of the adsorption process of sodium alginate droplets on the liquid-liquid interface is investigated,and the subsequent process of phase separation is *** the process of droplet adsorption,the crosslinking reaction occurs synchronously,which makes the droplet viscosity and the elasticity modules of the droplet surface increase,thus affecting the dynamics of the adsorption process and the equilibrium shape of the *** variation of the adsorption length with time is divided into three stages,which all conform to power law *** exponents of the second and third stages deviate from the results of the Tanner's *** flow pattern maps of droplet adsorption and phase separation are drawn,and the operating ranges of complete adsorption and complete separation are *** study provides a theoretical basis for further studying the flow behavior of droplets with cross-linking reaction in a microchannel.

marine oil spill emulsions are difficult to recover,and the damage to the environment is not easy to *** use of remote sensing to accurately identify oil spill emulsions is highly important for the protection of marine ***,the spectrum of oil emulsions changes due to different water *** remote sensing and deep learning can use spectral and spatial information to identify different types of oil ***,hyperspectral data can also cause information redundancy,reducing classification accuracy and efficiency,and even overfitting in machine learning *** address these problems,an oil emulsion deep-learning identification model with spatial-spectral feature fusion is established,and feature bands that can distinguish between crude oil,seawater,water-in-oil emulsion(WO),and oil-in-water emulsion(OW)are filtered based on a standard deviation threshold–mutual information *** oil spill airborne hyperspectral data,we conducted identification experiments on oil emulsions in different background waters and under different spatial and temporal conditions,analyzed the transferability of the model,and explored the effects of feature band selection and spectral resolution on the identification of oil *** results show the following.(1)The standard deviation–mutual information feature selection method is able to effectively extract feature bands that can distinguish between WO,OW,oil slick,and *** number of bands was reduced from 224 to 134 after feature selection on the Airborne Visible Infrared Imaging Spectrometer(AVIRIS)data and from 126 to 100 on the S185 data.(2)With feature selection,the overall accuracy and Kappa of the identification results for the training area are 91.80%and 0.86,respectively,improved by 2.62%and 0.04,and the overall accuracy and Kappa of the identification results for the migration area are 86.53%and 0.80,respectively,improved by 3.45%and 0.05.(3)The oil emulsion id

The interface mechanism between catalyst and carbon substrate has been the focus of *** this paper,the FeCo alloy embedded N,S co-doped carbon substrate bifunctional catalyst(FeCo/S-NC)is obtained by a simple one-step pyrolysis *** experimental results and density functional theory(DFT)calculation show that the formation of FeCo alloy is conducive to promoting electron transfer,and the introduction of S atom can enhance the interaction between FeCo alloy and carbon substrate,thus inhibiting the migration and agglomeration of particles on the surface of carbon *** FeCo/SNC catalysts show outstanding performance for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).FeCo/S-NC shows a high half-wave potential(E_(1/2)=0.8823 V)for ORR and a low overpotential at 10 ma cm^(-2)(E_(j=10)=299 mV)for *** addition,compared with Pt/C+RuO_(2) assembled Zn-air battery(ZAB),the FeCo/S-NC assembled ZAB exhibits a larger power density(198.8 mW cm^(-2)),a higher specific capacity(786.1 ma h g_(zn)~(-1)),and ultra-stable cycle *** results confirm that the optimized composition and the interfacial interaction between catalyst and carbon substrate synergistically enhance the electrochemical performance.

This study investigated the effect of 0.25 wt%Sc addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of AA 7055 *** addition of Sc obviously refined the grains of AA 7055 alloy during casting,homogenizing,rolling,solution,and aging treatments due to the formation of primary and precipitate Al3(Sc,Zr)*** recrystallization and precipitation of AA 7055 alloy were inhibited during heat treatments by Sc *** Sccontaining AA 7055 alloy exhibited higher thermal stability than AA 7055 alloy during homogenizing treatment,because of the grain boundary pinning effect of nano-sized Al3(Sc,Zr)*** its structure characteristics such as fine grains,fineη′phase,and lessηphase,AA 7055 alloy with added Sc showed good mechanical properties after aging at 120℃for 24 h,with an ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of 679 MPa and elongation(EL)of 14%.This work provides an effective strategy to fabricate AlZn-Mg(-Cu)series(7 xxx)alloys with excellent mechanical properties.
