Background and Objective Al.hough drugs are powerful.therapeutic agents,they have a range of side *** side effects are sometimes cel.ul.r and not cl.nical.y ***/metformin hydrochl.ride is one of the most widel. used oral.antidiabetic drugs with two active *** this study,we investigated its harmful.effects on the metabol.c activation system in heal.hy human pancreatic cel.s“hTert-HPNE”,and we aimed to improve these harmful.effects by natural.*** benefit from the heal.ng effect,we used the unique natural.products produced by the bees of the Anzer Pl.teau in the Eastern Bl.ck Sea Region of *** Cytotoxic and genotoxic effects of the drug were investigated by different tests,such as MTT,fl.w cytometry-apoptosis and comet *** honey,pol.en and propol.s were anal.zed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(G/C-MS).A total.of 19 compounds were detected,constituting 99.9%of the *** The decrease in cel. viabil.ty at al. drug concentrations was statistical.y significant compared to the negative control.Pl.y significant decrease was detected in the apoptosis caused by vil.agl.ptin/metformin hydrochl.ride with the suppl.mentation of Anzer honey,pol.en and propol.s in hTert-HPNE cel.s(Pl.sion This study can contribute to other studies testing the heal.ng properties of natural.products against the side effects of oral.antidiabetics in human *** particul.r,Anzer honey,pol.en and propol.s can be used as additional.foods to maintain cel. viabil.ty and improve heal.damage and can be eval.ated against side effects in other drug studies.
