Certain amino acids changes in the human Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase pump,ATPase Na^(+)/K^(+)transporting subunit alpha 1(ATP1A1),cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2(CMT2)disease and refractory *** develop in vivo models to study the role of Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase in these diseases,we modified the Drosophila gene homolog,Atpα,to mimic the human ATP1A1 gene mutations that cause *** located within the helical linker region of human ATP1A1(I592T,A597T,P600T,and D601F)were simultaneously introduced into endogenous Drosophila Atpαby CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing,generating the Atpα^(TTTF)*** addition,the same strategy was used to generate the corresponding single point mutations in flies(Atpα^(I571T),Atpα^(A576T),Atpα^(P579T),and Atpα^(D580F)).Moreover,a deletion mutation(Atpα^(mut))that causes premature termination of translation was generated as a positive *** these alleles,we found two that could be maintained as homozygotes(Atpα^(I571T)and Atpα^(P579T)).Three alleles(Atpα^(A576T),Atpα^(P579)and Atpα^(D580F))can form heterozygotes with the Atpαmut *** found that the Atpαallele carrying these CMT2-associated mutations showed differential phenotypes in *** heterozygous for Atpα^(TTTF)mutations have motor performance defects,a reduced lifespan,seizures,and an abnormal neuronal *** Drosophila models will provide a new platform for studying the function and regulation of the sodium-potassium pump.

*** Electronic sports(Esports),viewed as competitive and organized video gaming,1 are becoming accepted as a form of sports.2-4 Many digital video games associated with Esports are played through various platforms(e.g.,computers,consoles,mobile,streaming,or virtual reality)5 and involve either simulating competitive sports(motion-based)or combative(actionbased)activities.2 Esports have been around for more than 20 years1 and continue to thrive economically as a highly profitable gaming industry.2,6 Thanks to the advances in digital media and online game-streaming or cloud gaming technologies,there has been a rapid increase,on a global scale,in the popularity of Esports worldwide,6 evidenced by the exponential growth in participation,media coverage,viewership,sponsorship,and commercialization.

Lowering the synthesis temperature of boron nitride nanotubes(BNNTs)is crucial for their *** primary reason for adopting a high temperature is to enable the effective activation of highmelting-point solid *** this study,we developed a novel approach for efficiently activating boron by introducing alkali metal compounds into the conventional MgO–B *** approach can be adopted to form various low-melting-point AM–Mg–B–O growth *** growth systems have improved catalytic capability and reactivity even under low-temperature conditions,facilitating the synthesis of BNNTs at temperatures as low as 850℃.In addition,molecular dynamics simulations based on density functional theory theoretically demonstrate that the systems maintain a liquid state at low temperatures and interact with N atoms to form BN *** findings offer novel insights into the design of boron activation and are expected to facilitate research on the low-temperature synthesis of BNNTs.

Turbulent combustion in a DLR (German Aerospace Center) Scramjet engine was simulated using the newly-proposed Partially Resolved Numerical Simulation (PRNS) procedure. The PRNS procedure uses temporal filtering to define large-scale turbulence, and the model developed to account for unresolved scales is grid independent. No problem about inner commutation error and inconsistencies will arise from the PRNS, while such issues are of concern in traditional Large Eddy Simulation (LES) methods. The mean results have good agreement with the experiment data and the flow structures with small scales are well resolved.

Electrochemical recycling of waste polyethylene terephthalate（PET） plastics represents a green and sustainable route to produce valuable fuels and address serious environmental issues. Despite some encouraged achievements, their progress is still slower because of the lack of highly active and selective electrocatalysts. Here, we reported an efficient PET recycling route with trimetallic PdCuRu mesoporous nanospheres（MSs） as a high-performance electrocatalyst that achieved selective electrosynthesis of valuable formate from PET hydrolysate（PETH） electrooxidation. Penetrated metal mesopores and trimetallic compositions of PdCuRu MSs synergistically optimized electronic structures of Pd sites and changed chemisorption properties of intermediates, which disclosed a high formate Faradic efficiency of 97% and impressive yield rate of 0.49 mmol h-1cm-2in an alkaline solution. Meanwhile, this electrocatalyst held good electrocatalytic stability, retaining high formate Faradic efficiency and yield rate even being performed for 10 cycles, which highlighted its potential applications for practical PET recycling. Our study provides a powerful strategy for designing high-performance electrocatalysts toward selective electro-synthesis of valuable fuels from various waste plastics.

In this paper, a modified transient finite element (FE) algorithm for the performance analysis of magnetically levitated vehicles of electromagnetic type is presented. The algorithm incorporates the external power system and vehicle’s movement equations into FE model of transient magnetic field computation directly. Sliding interface between stationary and moving region is used during the transient analysis. The periodic boundaries are implemented in an easy way to reduce the computation scale. It is proved that this method can be used for both electro-motional static and dynamic cases. The test of a transformer and an EMS-Maglev system reveals that the method generates reasonable results at very low computational costs comparing with the transient FE analysis.

The output of new energy represented by wind power and photovoltaic power features volatility and randomness. It is a practical approach to use the guaranteed rate with statistical characteristics to analyze the output coefficient of new energy. However, there is a lack of analysis and demonstration on the value of the new energy output guaranteed rate. To solve this problem, a selection method for the new energy output guaranteed rate considering optimal energy storage configuration is proposed. First, the influence of the new energy output guaranteed rate on the new energy output coefficient is analyzed. Secondly, with the goal of minimizing the comprehensive costs, an optimal configuration model of energy storage based on the output guaranteed rate of new energy is constructed, and particle swarm optimization is used for the optimization solution. Then, according to the optimal energy storage configuration results under different guaranteed rates, a reasonable new energy output guaranteed rate is determined by maximizing the comprehensive benefits obtained from energy storage. Finally, an example applied to the power grid in an area of Guangdong in Southern China is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In the past decade, numerous genes associated with autism spectrum disorders（ASDs） have been identified. These genes encode key regulators of synaptogenesis,synaptic function, and synaptic plasticity. Drosophila is a prominent model system for ASD studies to define novel genes linked to ASDs and decipher their molecular roles in synaptogenesis, synaptic function, synaptic plasticity, and neural circuit assembly and consolidation. Here, we review Drosophila studies on ASD genes that regulate synaptogenesis, synaptic function, and synaptic plasticity through modulating chromatin remodeling, transcription, protein synthesis and degradation, cytoskeleton dynamics, and synaptic scaffolding.
