Trajectories of mental health symptoms predict long-term quality of life among Wenchuan adolescent survivors:A 10-year follow-up study

Purpose:Previous studies usually examine the associations between psychological distresses and quality of life(QOL)with a variable-centred approach,while little is known about the effect of the individual variance in time-varying changes of psychological distresses on QOL.Therefore,this study aimed to examine whether individual variance in psychological distresses during the early phases post-earthquake would develop different QOL’s levels among adolescent survivors 10-year after the Wenchuan earthquake.Methods:Data were extracted from the Wenchuan Earthquake Adolescent Health Cohort Study.The current study included 744 adolescent survivors who effectively completed surveys at 6 months,24 months,and 10 years after the earthquake.Self-report questionnaires were administered to collect information on socio-demographic characteristics,earthquake exposure,life events,anxiety symptoms,depressive symptoms,posttraumatic stress symptoms(PTSS),and QOL.Data were analysed using hierarchical multiple regression.Results:Trajectories of psychological distresses were classified as follow:resistance(anxiety 40.73%;depression 54.70%;PTSS 74.46%),recovery(anxiety 17.20%;depression 9.27%;PTSS 10.35%),delayed dysfunction(anxiety 10.35%;depression 18.15%;PTSS 6.18%),and chronicity(anxiety 31.72%;depression 17.88%;PTSS 9.01%).After controlling covariates,hierarchical multiple regression only revealed that the anxiety trajectory with delayed dysfunction remained significantly predictive for four domains of QOL(physical health,psychological health,social relationships,and environment).Conclusion:The current study highlights the importance of focusing on the variations in trajectories of anxiety symptoms among disaster survivors and providing individualized mental health services to improve survivors’QOL.

本文提出了一种利用inverse butterfly网络的自路由特性完成循环移位、短字循环移位等操作的可重构控制信息生成算法。该算法具有高并行度和低成本,此外还支持循环移位、双向循环移位以及短字循环移位操作。据我们所知,这是首个将多种不同类型的循环移位操作统一在一个硬件架构中的算法。本文进一步设计了一种高效可重构循环移位单元,并在SMIC 65-nm工艺下实现了逻辑综合。结果表明:与以往具有相似功能的设计相比,该单元的效能至少提升了23%;当仅支持双向循环移位操作时,该单元具有更小的面积和更低的延迟。

Objective We previously reported that mutations in inner mitochondrial membrane peptidase 2-like(Immp2l)increase infarct volume,enhance superoxide production,and suppress mitochondrial respiration after transient cerebral focal ischemia and reperfusion injury.The present study investigated the impact of heterozygous Immp2l mutation on mitochondria function after ischemia and reperfusion injury in mice.Methods Mice were subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion for 1 h followed by 0,1,5,and 24 h of reperfusion.The effects of Immp2l^(+/−)on mitochondrial membrane potential,mitochondrial respiratory complex III activity,caspase-3,and apoptosis-inducing factor(AIF)translocation were examined.Results Immp2l^(+/−)increased ischemic brain damage and the number of TUNEL-positive cells compared with wild-type mice.Immp2l^(+/−)led to mitochondrial damage,mitochondrial membrane potential depolarization,mitochondrial respiratory complex III activity suppression,caspase-3 activation,and AIF nuclear translocation.Conclusion The adverse impact of Immp2l^(+/−)on the brain after ischemia and reperfusion might be related to mitochondrial damage that involves depolarization of the mitochondrial membrane potential,inhibition of the mitochondrial respiratory complex III,and activation of mitochondria-mediated cell death pathways.These results suggest that patients with stroke carrying Immp2l^(+/−)might have worse and more severe infarcts,followed by a worse prognosis than those without Immp2l mutations.

Metal-free heteroatoms dual-doped carbon has been recognized as one of the most promising Pt/C-substitutes for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Herein,we optimize the preparation process by doping order of metal-free heteroatoms to obtain the best electrocatalytic performance through three types of dual-doped carbon,including XC-N(first X doping then N doping),NC-X(first N doping then X doping) and NXC(N and X doping)(X=P,S and F).XC-N has more defect than the other two indicated by Raman spectra.X-ray photoelectron spectrom(XPS) measurements indicate that N and X have been dual-doped into the carbon matrix with different doping contents and modes,Electrocatalytic results,including the potential of ORR peak(Ep),the half-wave potential,the diffusion-limiting current density mainly follows the order of XC-N>NC-X> NXC,Furthermore,the synergistic effect of second atom doping are also compared with the single doped carbon(NC,PC,SC and FC).The differences in electronegativity and atomic radius of these metal-free heteroatoms can affect the defect degree,the doping content and mode of hete roatoms on carbon matrix,induce polarization effect and space effect to affect O2 adsorption and product desorption,ultimately to the ORR electrocatalytic performance.

The inclined six-roll tube straightener is an important equipment for the finishing line.It can not only straighten the steel pipe,but also finish the ovality of the cross section.In the actual straightening process,the cross section of the tube is prone to deform,that is,the round ness is not good.The flatteni ng displacement is an import a nt parameter to control cross-section forming of tube.According to the established mechanical model,the analytical calculation equations of the flattening force and the flattening displacement were derived using the energy method.Based on the finite element simulation data,the ratios of the finite element results of the什attening force to the analytical ones were fitted.The correlation coefficient after fitting is greater than 99%,and the fitting effect is excelleni.The flattening experiment was carried out on tubes of different materials and different specifications,and the setting method of the optimal flattening displacement during straightening process was obtained.In the actual straightening process,using this flattening displacement,the ovality of straightened steel tube is less than 0.3%.Therefore,the proposed method can provide a reference for the flattening displacement in the actual straightening process.

Constructing oxygen deficiency-rich V_(2)O_(3)@PEDOT cathode for high-performance aqueous zinc-ion batteries

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AziBs)have attracted widespread attention due to the advantages of high safety and environmental friendliness.Although V_(2)O_(3) is a promising cathode,the strong electrostatic interaction between Zn^(2+) and V_(2)O_(3) crystal,and the sluggish reaction kinetics still limit their application in AziBs.Herein,the oxygen defects rich V_(2)O_(3) with conducive poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT)shell(V_(2)O_(3)-Od@PEDOT)was fabricated for AziBs by combining the sulfur-assisted thermal reduction and in-situ polymerization method.The introduced oxygen vacancies of V_(2)O_(3)–Od@PEDOT weaken the electrostatic interaction between Zn^(2+) and the host material,improving the interfacial electron transport,while the PEDOT coating enhances the structural stability and conductivity of V_(2)O_(3),thus accelerating the reaction kinetics.Based on the advantages,V_(2)O_(3)–Od@PEDOT electrode delivers a reversible capacity of 495 mah·g^(−1) at 0.1 A·g^(−1),good rate capability(189 mah·g^(−1)at 8.0 A·g^(−1)),and an impressive cycling stability with 90.1%capacity retention over 1000 cycles at 8.0 A·g^(−1).The strategy may provide a path for exploiting the other materials for high performance AziBs.

The effect of subcutaneous injection duration on patients receiving low-molecular-weight heparin:Evidence from a systematic review

To assess the effect of the injection duration of subcutaneous low-molecular-weight heparin(LMWH)on pain and bruising in patients.Randomized controlled trials and quasiexperimental studies were searched for in four electronic databases.The pooled effect size was expressed as relative risk(RR)andmeandifference(MD)with95%confidence intervals(CI)for dichotomous and continuous data.Cochrane Q and p value were used to assess heterogeneity and the I2 statistic was adopted to quantify the level.Finally,eight studies involving a total of 532 participants met our inclusion criteria.The slow(30 second)injection was associated with a reduction in pain intensity and duration,and lower bruising occurrence at 48-72 hours and 48 hours post injection.The bruising area was also smaller at 48 hours and 60 hours post injection.Nodifferenceswere identified betweenthe slowand fast(10 second)injectionin bruising area and bruising occurrence at 24 hours and 60 hours post injection.With present evidences,slow injection of LMWH is beneficial to the patient's well being,but further studies to identify the feasibility and standardization of the technique is recommended.

Effects of advanced glycosylation end products and rosiglitazone on the expression and secretion of galectin-3 in human renal mesangial cells

Background Galectin-3 is the most recently identified advanced glycosylation end products （AGEs） binding protein. This study aimed to investigate the effects of AGEs and rosiglitazone on the expression and secretion of galectin-3 in cultured human renal mesangial cells （HRMCs）. Methods HRMCs were incubated with different concentrations of AGE-bovine serum albumin （BSA）（0, 50, 100, 200, and 400 mg/L） for different time （0, 24, 36, 48, and 72 hours）, and exposed to AGE-BSA in the presence of different concentrations of rosiglitazone （1, 10, and 100 μmol/L）. The mRNA and protein expression of galectin-3 in HRMCs were analyzed by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） and Western blotting. The culture medium of HRMCs was collected and concentrated, and the content of galectin-3 in the medium was detected by Western blotting. Results Both RT-PCR and Western blotting revealed that AGE-BSA up-regulated the expression of galectin-3 in HRMCs in a concentration- （P 〈0.05） and time-dependent （P 〈0.05） manner compared with the control. Compared with the control, AGE-BSA elevated the content of galectin-3 in the culture medium of HRMCs time- and concentrationdependently （P 〈0.05, respectively）. Both protein and mRNA expression of galectin-3, and its content in the medium of HRMCs exposed to different concentrations of rosiglitazone in the presence of AGE-BSA were increased compared with those of cells exposed to AGE-BSA alone （P 〈0.05）. Rosiglitazone increased the expression and secretion of galectin-3 in a dose-dependent manner （P 〈0.05）. Conclusions AGEs up-regulates the expression and secretion of galectin-3 in HRMCs. Rosiglitazone further enhances the upregulation of galectin-3 in HRMCs induced by AGEs, which suggests that rosiglitazone may play a role of reno-protection via up-regulation of galectin-3.
