A low computational cost cancelable fingerprint template, namely the multi-line codes was proposed. The formulation of a single-line code involves the inspection of minutiae distribution along a straight line constructed based on the reference minutia. Multi-line code is introduced to elevate the performance by combining several single-line codes. Experiments were carried out on a few FVC databases. It has been proven that the proposed method yields relatively low computational complexity as compared to existing minutiae distribution-based methods, while preserving the performance. The equal error rate obtained for FVC2002 DB1 is 4.69% in stolen-key case, and the total arithmetic operations utilized are 14 520 additions and zero multiplication.

This paper proposes a static-output-feedback based robust fuzzy wheelbase preview control algorithm for uncertain active suspensions with time delay and finite frequency ***,a Takagi-Sugeno(T-S)fuzzy augmented model is established to formulate the half-car active suspension system with consideration of time delay,sprung mass variation and wheelbase preview ***,in view of the resonation between human’s organs and vertical vibrations in the frequency range of 4–8 Hz,a finite frequency control criterion in terms of H∞norm is developed to improve ride ***,other mechanical constraints are also considered and satisfied via generalized H2 ***,in order to maintain the feasibility of the controller despite of some state variables are not online-measured,a two stage approach is adopted to derive a static output feedback ***,numerical simulation results illustrate the excellent performance of the proposed controller.

Airborne dust is an important constituent in the Martian atmosphere because of its radiative interaction with the atmospheric *** size is one crucial factor in determining this *** reality dust sizes are varied;however,in numerical modeling of dust processes,dust size has usually been described by choice of a particular size distribution function,or by use of fixed values of effective radius(ER)and effective variance(EV).In this work,we present analytical expressions that have been derived to specify ER and EV for Nbin dust schemes,based on a model-calculated dust mixing *** simulations based on this approach thus would consider the effects of variable ER on the atmospheric radiation and their *** have revealed some interesting features of the dust distribution parameters,such as seasonal and spatial variation of ER and EV,which are generally consistent with some previous observational and modeling *** with the usual approach of using a fixed ER,simulation results from the present approach suggest that the variability of ER can have significant effects on the simulated thermal field of the Martian atmosphere.

Traditionally, small and medium enterprises(SMEs) in manufacturing rely heavily on a skilled, technical and professional workforce to increase productivity and remain globally competitive. Crowdsourcing offers an opportunity for SMEs to get access to online communities who may provide requested services such as generating design ideas or problem solutions. However, there are some barriers preventing them from adopting crowdsourcing into their product design and development(PDD) practice. In this paper, we provide a literature review of key crowdsourcing technologies including crowdsourcing platforms and tools, crowdsourcing frameworks,and techniques in terms of open call generation, rewarding, crowd qualification for working, organization structure of crowds, solution evaluation, workflow and quality control and indicate the challenges of integrating crowdsourcing with a PDD process. We also explore the necessary techniques and tools to support the crowdsourcing PDD process. Finally, we propose some key guidelines for coping with the aforementioned challenges in the crowdsourcing PDD process.

Weak ion diffusion and electron transport due to limited interlayer spacing and poor electrical conductivity have been identified as critical roadbacks for fast and abundant energy storage of both MoS2-based lithium ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium ion batteries (SIBs). In this work, MoS2 porous-hollow nanorods (MoS2/m-C800) have been designed and synthesized via an annealing-followed chemistry-intercalated strategy to solve the two issues. They are uniformly assembled from ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets, deviated to the rod-axis direction, with expanded interlayer spacing due to alternate intercalation of N-doped carbon monolayers between the adjacent MoS2 monolayers. Electrochemical studies of the MoS2/m-C800 sample, as an anode of LIBs, demonstrate that the superstructure can deliver a reversible discharge capacity of 1,170 mAh·g^-1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 A·g^-1 and maintain a reversible capacity of 951 mAh·g^-1 at 1.25 A·g^-1 after 350 cycles. While for SIBs, the superstructure also delivers a reversible discharge capacity of 350 mAh·g^-1 at 0.5 A-g-1 after 500 cycles and exhibits superior rate capacity of 238 mAh·g^-1 at 15 A·g^-1 .The excellent electrochemical performance is closely related with the hierarchical superstructures, including expanded interlayer spacing, alternate intercalation of carbon monolayers and mesoporous feature, which effectively reduce ion diffusion barrier, shorten ion diffusion paths and improve electrical conductivity.

VS2 with natural layered structure and metallic conductivity is a prospective candidate for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)and potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).However,due to large radius of Na+and K+,the limited interlayer spacing(0.57 nm)of VS2 generally determines high ion diffusion barrier and large volume variation,resulting in unsatisfactory electrochemical performance of SIBs and *** this work,flower-like VS_(2)/N-doped carbon(VS_(2)/N-C)with expanded(001)plane is grown on reduced graphene oxide(rGO)via a solvothermal and subsequently carbonization *** the VS_(2)/N-C@rGO nanohybrids,the ultrathin VS2"petals"are alternately intercalated by the N-doped porous carbon monolayers to achieve an expanded interlayer spacing(1.02 nm),which can effectively reduce ions diffusion barrier,expose abundant active sites for Na+/K+intercalation,and tolerate large volume *** N-C and rGO carbonous materials can significantly promote the electrical conductivity and structural *** from the synergistic effect,the VS2/N-C@rGO electrode exhibits large reversible capacity(Na+:407 mAh·g^(-1) at 1 A·g^(-1);K^(+):334 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.2 A·g^(-1)),high rate capacity(Na+:273 mAh·g^(-1) at 8 A·g^(-1);K+:186 mAh·g^(-1) at 5 A·g^(-1)),and remarkable cycling stability(Na+:316 mAh·g^(-1) at 2 A·g^(-1) after 1,400 cycles;K^(+):216 mAh·g^(-1) at 1 A·g^(-1) after 500 cycles).
