An aircraft brake control algorithm with torque compensation based on RBF neural network

The wheel brake system of an aircraft is the key to ensure its safe landing and rejected takeoff.A wheel’s slip state is determined by the brake torque and ground adhesion torque,both of which have a large degree of uncertainty.It is this nature that brings upon the challenge of obtaining high deceleration rate for aircraft brake control.To overcome the disturbances caused by the above uncertainties,a braking control law is designed,which consists of two parts:runway surface recognition and wheel’s slip state tracking.In runway surface recognition,the identification rules balancing safety and braking efficiency are defined,and the actual identification process is realized through recursive least square method with forgetting factors.In slip state tracking,the LuGre model with parameter adaptation and a brake torque compensation method based on RBF neural network are proposed,and their convergence are proven.The effectiveness of our control law is verified through simulation and ground experiment.Especially in the experiments on the ground inertial test bench,compared to the improved pressure-biased-modulation(PBM)anti-skid algorithm,fewer wheel slips occur,and the average deceleration rate is increased by 5.78%,which makes it a control strategy with potential for engineering applications.

OBJECTIVE: Exploring the effect of Optimized New Shengmai powder(优化新生脉散方, ONSMP) on myocardial fibrosis in heart failure(HF) based on rat sarcoma(RAS)/rapidly accelerated fibrosarcoma(RAF)/mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase(MEK)/extracellular regulated protein kinases(ERK) signaling pathway. METHODS: Randomized 70 Sprague-Dawley rats into sham(n = 10) and operation(n = 60) groups, then established the HF rat by ligating the left anterior descending branch of the coronary artery. We randomly divided the operation group rats into the model, ONSMP [including low(L), medium(M), and high(H) dose], and enalapril groups. After the 4-week drug intervention, echocardiography examines the cardiac function and calculates the ratios of the whole/left heart to the rat's body weight. Finally, we observed the degree of myocardial fibrosis by pathological sections, determined myocardium collagen(COL) Ⅰ and COL Ⅲ content by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, detected the m RNA levels of COL Ⅰ, COL Ⅲ, α-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA), and c-Fos proto-oncogene(c-Fos) by universal real-time, and detected the protein expression of p-RAS, p-RAF, p-MEK1/2, p-ERK1/2, p-ETS-like-1 transcription factor(p-ELK1), p-c-Fos, α-SMA, COL Ⅰ, and COL Ⅲ by Western blot. RESULTS: ONSMP can effectively improve HF rat's cardiac function, decrease cardiac organ coefficient, COL volume fraction, and COL Ⅰ/Ⅲ content, down-regulate the m RNA of COL Ⅰ/Ⅲ, α-SMA and c-Fos, and the protein of p-RAS, p-RAF, p-MEK1/2, p-ERK1/2, p-ELK1, c-Fos, COL Ⅰ/Ⅲ, and α-SMA. CONCLUSIONS: ONSMP can effectively reduce myocardial fibrosis in HF rats, and the mechanism may be related to the inhibition of the RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK signaling pathway.

Flexo-photocatalysis in centrosymmetric semiconductors

The separation of photogenerated electron–hole pairs is vitally important for photocatalysis,which can be effectively promoted by polarization field.However,it only manifests in piezoelectric/pyroelectric/ferroelectric materials that have a non-centrosymmetric structure.Here,we demonstrate that the polarization enhanced photocatalysis(with wide spectra from ultraviolet(UV)light to visible light)can be achieved in centrosymmetric semiconductors,such asδ-MnO_(2) and TiO_(2) nanosheets integrated nanoflowers,by using the strain-gradient-induced flexoelectric polarization that is always overlooked in polarization-enhanced catalysis.Under ultrasonic and illumination excitation,the organic pollutants(methylene blue(MB),etc.)can be effectively degraded within 30 min with excellent stability and repeatability.Compared with photocatalysis,the flexo-photocatalytic performance of above centrosymmetric semiconductors is substantially increased by 85%.Moreover,the factors related to flexo-photocatalysis such as material morphology,mechanical stimuli source,and adsorption are explored to deeply understand the mechanism of flexo-photocatalysis.This work opens up a way for high-performance photocatalysis in centrosymmetric semiconductors.

Metal additive manufacturing(AM)has been extensively studied in recent decades.Despite the significant progress achieved in manufacturing complex shapes and structures,challenges such as severe cracking when using existing alloys for laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)AM have persisted.These challenges arise because commercial alloys are primarily designed for conventional casting or forging processes,overlooking the fast cooling rates,steep temperature gradients and multiple thermal cycles of L-PBF.To address this,there is an urgent need to develop novel alloys specifically tailored for L-PBF technologies.This review provides a comprehensive summary of the strategies employed in alloy design for L-PBF.It aims to guide future research on designing novel alloys dedicated to L-PBF instead of adapting existing alloys.The review begins by discussing the features of the L-PBF processes,focusing on rapid solidification and intrinsic heat treatment.Next,the printability of the four main existing alloys(Fe-,Ni-,Al-and Ti-based alloys)is critically assessed,with a comparison of their conventional weldability.It was found that the weldability criteria are not always applicable in estimating printability.Furthermore,the review presents recent advances in alloy development and associated strategies,categorizing them into crack mitigation-oriented,microstructure manipulation-oriented and machine learning-assisted approaches.Lastly,an outlook and suggestions are given to highlight the issues that need to be addressed in future work.

Effect of safety valve types on the gas venting behavior and thermal runaway hazard severity of large-format prismatic lithium iron phosphate batteries

The safety valve is an important component to ensure the safe operation of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the effect of safety valve type on the thermal runaway(TR)and gas venting behavior of LIBs,as well as the TR hazard severity of LIBs,are not known.In this paper,the TR and gas venting behavior of three 100 A h lithium iron phosphate(LFP)batteries with different safety valves are investigated under overheating.Compared to previous studies,the main contribution of this work is in studying and evaluating the effect of gas venting behavior and TR hazard severity of LFP batteries with three safety valve types.Two significant results are obtained:(Ⅰ)the safety valve type dominates over gas venting pressure of battery during safety venting,the maximum gas venting pressure of LFP batteries with a round safety valve is 3320 Pa,which is one order of magnitude higher than other batteries with oval or cavity safety valve;(Ⅱ)the LFP battery with oval safety valve has the lowest TR hazard as shown by the TR hazard assessment model based on gray-fuzzy analytic hierarchy process.This study reveals the effect of safety valve type on TR and gas venting,providing a clear direction for the safety valve design.

A novel Cu_(1.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)photothermal catalyst with boosted surface lattice oxygen activation for efficiently photothermal mineralization of toluene

Developing a novel photothermal catalyst for efficient mineralization of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)is of great significance to control air pollution.Herein,for the first-time,a spinel Cu_(1.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)nanomaterial with enhanced surface lattice oxygen activation was successfully obtained by a novel light-driven in situ reconstruction strategy from its precursor(CuMnO_(2))for efficient toluene mineralization.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)analyses confirm that the CuMnO_(2)phase was converted into spinel Cu1.5Mn1.5O4 phase under full spectrum light irradiation.Ultraviolet–visible–near infrared ray(UV–vis–NIR)spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis,and density functional theory(DFT)calculations determine that the strong near-infrared absorption ability and low dissociation energy of oxygen bond in Cu_(1.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)are beneficial to its surface lattice oxygen activation.Furthermore,O2-temperature programmed desorption(TPD)and in situ diffuse reflectance infrared transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS)further indicate that the surface lattice oxygen of the Cu_(1.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)is easily activated under light irradiation,which can promote ring opening of toluene.This research endows a new design of photothermal nanomaterial with enhanced lattice oxygen activation for deep oxidation of VOCs.

领导力对全球气候治理具有重要作用,推动了联合国气候制度的建立和演变,促进了气候条约的履约和遵约。但仅以温室气体减排为衡量依据、从“领导者—落后者”视角出发的对立性领导力概念无法反映各国在适应、资金、技术及合作上的表现。因此,本文引入关系性领导力概念解释中国的气候领导力。研究发现,中国气候领导力具有互容性、互惠性和融合性特点,将气候治理与社会发展紧密融合,与发达国家和发展中国家平等互利地开展谈判和行动,并结合规则治理和关系治理两种模式参与气候治理。总体上看,中国通过国内目标管理和低碳行动、国际互惠合作和气候援助等方式展现气候领导力,赢得了许多发展中国家和发达国家的认同。相对而言,中国气候领导力兼顾气候与民生、公平性与可行性,明显区别于崇尚规则的欧盟领导力和依赖结构实力的美国领导力,这种区别于欧美“绿色霸权”的特点促进了联合国气候制度的公平合理与合作共赢,帮助全球南方国家提升应对气候变化的能力,推动集体努力不断接近《巴黎协定》的治理目标。

Laboratory Evaluation of Performance Recovery of Aged SBS-modified Asphalt Using Regenerants with Different Base Oil Components

In this study,the regenerative effects of different regenerants on aged SBS-modified asphalt from different perspectives were investigated,including their conventional properties,viscoelastic behavior,creep-related properties,and micromorphology.Base oils composed of different proportions of aromatic and saturated hydrocarbons as well as the styrene-butadiene-styrene(SBS)restorer were used to prepare the regenerants.The results showed that the components of the base oil of the regenerant played a crucial role in determining the characteristics and performance of the recycled SBSmodified asphalt.Regenerants containing a high proportion of aromatics dissolved the hard segment in the SBS restorer,thereby delaying the effect of a reduction in the regenerants on the performance of the aged asphalts at a high temperature.Regenerants containing a high proportion of saturates dissolved the soft segment in the SBS restorer to enhance the lowtemperature performance of the recycled asphalts.In addition,the stress sensitivity of the recycled asphalts increased with the fraction of aromatics in the regenerant.As the aromatic content of the base oil components of the regenerants increased and their saturate content decreased,the state of dispersion of the SBS phase in the recycled SBS-modified asphalts improved.The optimal content of aromatics in the base oil of the regenerants should be set in the range of 33%to 47%to ensure the adequate performance of the recycled asphalts and a high efficiency of the SBS restorer.

Recent trends in road engineering have explored the potential of incorporating recycled solid wastes into infrastructures that including pavements,bridges,tunnels,and accessory structures.The utilization of solid wastes is expected to offer sustainable solutions to waste recycling while enhancing the performance of roads.This review provides an extensive analysis of the recycling of three main types of solid wastes for road engineering purposes:industrial solid waste,infrastructure solid waste,and municipal life solid waste.Industrial solid wastes suitable for road engineering generally include coal gangue,fly ash,blast furnace slag,silica fume,and steel slag,etc.Infrastructure solid wastes recycled in road engineering primarily consist of construction&demolition waste,reclaimed asphalt pavements,and recycled cement concrete.Furthermore,recent exploration has extended to the utilization of municipal life solid wastes,such as incinerated bottom ash,glass waste,electronics waste,plastic waste,and rubber waste in road engineering applications.These recycled solid wastes are categorized into solid waste aggregates,solid waste cements,and solid waste fillers,each playing distinct roles in road infrastructure.Roles of solid waste acting aggregates,cements,and fillers in road infrastructures were fully investigated,including their pozzolanic properties,integration effects to virgin materials,modification or enhancement solutions,engineering performances.Utilization of these materials not only addresses the challenge of waste management but also offers environmental benefits aiming carbon neutral and contributes to sustainable infrastructure development.However,challenges such as variability in material properties,environmental impact mitigation,secondary pollution to environment by leaching,and concerns regarding long-term performance need to be further addressed.Despite these challenges,the recycled solid wastes hold immense potential in revolutionizing road construction practices and fostering environmental stewardshi

满足共轭先验性质的泊松多伯努利混合(Poisson multi-Bernoulli mixture,PMBM)滤波器将目标状态分为泊松和多伯努利混合两部分,分别对这两部分进行预测和更新,具有较高的跟踪精度和较快的运行速度。在多目标机动场景下,使用单一模型不足以描述目标的运动,将导致跟踪性能的下降。针对这一问题,提出了一种交互多模型(interacting multiple model,IMM)PMBM滤波器,充分利用模型之间的交互信息,可以有效实现多机动目标的跟踪。同时,该算法采用序贯蒙特卡罗(sequential Monte Carlo,SMC)方法实现PMBM滤波,可应用于非线性场景。仿真结果表明,所提的IMM-SMC-PMBM算法可以有效地在非线性环境下跟踪数目变化的多机动目标,与IMM-SMC概率假设密度(probability hypothesis density,PHD)滤波器相比具有更好的跟踪精度和稳定性。
