Effect of H_(2)O on Preheating Combustion Characteristics in O_(2)/CO_(2)and O_(2)/N_(2)Atmospheres

This study explores the effect of H_(2)O on the characteristics of the oxy-fuel combustion process preheated by a circulating fluidized bed.The preheating and combustion characteristics have been studied in O_(2)/CO_(2)/H_(2)O and O_(2)/N_(2)/H_(2)O atmospheres.It was observed that the preheating temperature decreased with adding steam.Meanwhile,the addition of steam enhanced the C-H_(2)O gasification reaction,while weakened the C-CO_(2)gasification reaction.As a result,the H2 concentration was increased,while the CO concentration was reduced.H_(2)O was conducive towards increasing the surface area and pore formation of the preheated char,though it had an insignificant effect on the particle size.Moreover,H_(2)O enhanced the preheated char activity,which was helpful for ignition and stable combustion.The NO_(x)emission was observed to increase from 68 to 79 mg/MJ and 62 to 81 mg/MJ in O_(2)/CO_(2)and O_(2)/N_(2)atmospheres,respectively,after adding steam.

Background:Intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR)is a major inducer of higher morbidity and mortality in the pig industry and catch-up growth(CUG)before weanling could significantly restore this negative influence.But there was limited knowledge about the underlying mechanism of CUG occurrence.Methods:Eighty litters of newborn piglets were divided into normal birth weight(NBW)and IUGR groups according to birth weight.At 26 d,those piglets with IUGR but over average body weight of eighty litters of weaned piglets were considered as CUG,and the piglets with IUGR still below average body weight were considered as NCUG.This study was conducted to systemically compare the intestinal difference among NBW,CUG and NCUG weaned piglets considering the crucial role of the intestine for piglet growth.Results:The results indicated that the m RNA expression of nutrients(amino acids,glucose,and fatty acids)transporters,and mitochondrial electron transport chain(ETC)I were upregulated in CUG piglets'gut with improved morphology compared with those NCUG,as well as the ratio of P-AMPK/AMPK protein expression which is the indicator of energy metabolism.Meanwhile,CUG piglet's gut showed higher antioxidative capacity with increased SOD and GSHPx activity,decreased MDA levels,as well as higher m RNA expressions of Nrf2,Keap1,SOD,and GSH-Px.Furthermore,inflammatory parameters including TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,and IL-12 factors,and the activation of MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways were significantly elevated in the NCUG intestine,while the protein expression of ZO-1,Occludin and Claudin-1 was reduced.The alpha diversity of fecal microbiota was higher in CUG piglets in contrast with NCUG piglets,and the increased beneficial bacteria and decreased pathogenic bacteria was also observed in CUG piglets.Conclusions:CUG piglet's intestine showed comprehensive restoration including higher nutrients transport,energy metabolism,antioxidant capacity,and intestinal physical barrier,while lower oxidative stress,inflammatory response,and pathogenic microbi

Flotation separation of smithsonite from calcite is difficult due to their similar surface properties.In the present study,a reagent scheme of depressant calcium lignosulphonate(CLS) and collector benzyl hydroxamic acid(BHA) was introduced in the flotation of smithsonite from calcite.Microflotation tests revealed that the efficient flotation of smithsonite from calcite could only be obtained with the addition order of BHA before CLS,which was opposite to the widely-used order that adding depressant prior to the collector.The zeta potential measurements indicated that BHA selectively adsorbed onto smithsonite surface,then not allowed the CLS adsorption onto the smithsonite surface rather than calcite surface because of the steric hindrance,thereby the smithsonite surface remained hydrophobic while calcite surface became more hydrophilic after the addition of CLS.As a result,the calcite flotation was completely depressed while the smithsonite flotation recovery was still in high value,leading to the optimal flotation separation performance.

Purpose: This paper aims to develop a navigation system based on mixed reality, which can displaymultimodal medical images in an immersive environment and help surgeons locate the target areaand surrounding important tissues precisely.Methods: To be displayed properly in mixed reality, medical images are processed in this system.High-quality cerebral vessels and nerve fibers with proper colors are reconstructed and exported tomixed reality environment. Multimodal images and models are registered and fused, extracting theirkey information. The multiple processed images are fused with the real patient in the same coordinatesystem to guide the surgery.Results: The multimodal image system is designed and validated properly. In phantom experiments,the average error of preoperative registration is 1.003 mm and the standard deviation is 0.096 mm.The average proportion of well-registered areas is 94.9%. In patient experiments, the surgeons whoparticipated in the experiments generally indicated that the system had excellent performance andgreat application prospect for neurosurgery.Conclusion: This article proposes a navigation system of multimodal images for neurosurgery basedon mixed reality. Compared with other navigation methods, this system can help surgeons locate thetarget area and surrounding important tissues more precisely and rapidly.

Background:Sudden sensorineural hearing loss(SSHL)refers to the sudden occurrence of unexplained sensorineural hearing loss.The present study showed that different systemic diseases had different influence on the occurrence and hearing outcome of SSHL.Thyroid hormone is one of the important factors for the development of fetal ear and auditory function.However,the distribution of thyroid dysfunction in SSHL patients and the effect of thyroid dysfunction on the occurrence and hearing outcome of SSHL has not been studied.Methods:In this study,a retrospective analysis had been done in 676 patients with SSHL.We had described the distribution of thyroid function in patients with SSHL in detail,and by the statistical method,analyzed the relationship between the hearing outcome and thyroid dysfunction,respectively.Results:In all patients,24.41%(165/676)had abnormal thyroid function testing results.The onset age of SSHL in FT3 abnormal group(including low and high group)was younger than that in normal FT3 group.Recovery group had more patients with lower-than-normal T3 level as compared to non-recovery patients.Significant associations between T3 levels and hearing outcome were observed in the subgroup with longer time elapse between symptom onset and treatment(≥14 d).Conclusion:The incidence of thyroid dysfunction in SSHL is significantly higher than in the general population.There was obvious relationship between T3 and FT3 item of thyroid dysfunction and the onset time and hearing outcome of SSHL,which indicated that T3 or FT3 indicator may be one of the affecting factors for the SSHL.Early screening and diagnosis of thyroid dysfunction,especial T3 level,may help to evaluate the prognosis in SSHL patients.

In this paper,we propose a novel fuzzy matching data sharing scheme named FADS for cloudedge communications.FADS allows users to specify their access policies,and enables receivers to obtain the data transmitted by the senders if and only if the two sides meet their defined certain policies simultaneously.Specifically,we first formalize the definition and security models of fuzzy matching data sharing in cloud-edge environments.Then,we construct a concrete instantiation by pairing-based cryptosystem and the privacy-preserving set intersection on attribute sets from both sides to construct a concurrent matching over the policies.If the matching succeeds,the data can be decrypted.Otherwise,nothing will be revealed.In addition,FADS allows users to dynamically specify the policy for each time,which is an urgent demand in practice.A thorough security analysis demonstrates that FADS is of provable security under indistinguishable chosen ciphertext attack(IND-CCA)in random oracle model against probabilistic polynomial-time(PPT)adversary,and the desirable security properties of privacy and authenticity are achieved.Extensive experiments provide evidence that FADS is with acceptable efficiency.

From an ingot to a wafer then to a die,wafer thinning plays an important role in the semiconductor industry.To reveal the material removal mechanism of semiconductor at nanoscale,molecular dynamics has been widely used to investigate the grinding process.However,most simulation analyses were conducted with a single phase space trajectory,which is stochastic and subjective.In this paper,the stress field in wafer thinning simulations of 4H-SiC was obtained from 50 trajectories with spatial averaging and phase space averaging.The spatial averaging was conducted on a uniform spatial grid for each trajectory.A variable named mask was assigned to the spatial point to reconstruct the shape of the substrate.Different spatial averaging parameters were applied and compared.The result shows that the summation of Voronoi volumes of the atoms in the averaging domain is more appropriate for spatial averaging.The phase space averaging was conducted with multiple trajectories after spatial averaging.The stress field converges with increasing the number of trajectories.The maximum and average relative difference(absolute value)of Mises stress was used as the convergence criterion.The obtained hydrostatic stress in the compression zone is close to the phase transition pressure of 4H-SiC from first principle calculations.
