Permeability and selectivity synergistically enhanced nanofluidic membrane for osmotic energy harvesting

For the porous-membrane-based osmotic energy generator, the potential synergistic enhancement mechanism of various key parameters is still controversial, especially because optimizing the trade-off between permeability and selectivity is still a challenge. Here, to construct a permeability and selectivity synergistically enhanced osmotic energy generator, the two-dimensional porous membranes with tunable charge density are prepared by inserting sulfonated polyether sulfone into graphene oxide. Influences of charge density and pore size on the ion transport are explored, and the ionic behaviors in the channel are calculated by numerical simulations. The mechanism of ion transport in the process is studied in depth, and the fundamental principles of energy conversion are revealed. The results demonstrate that charge density and pore size should be matched to construct the optimal ion channel. This collaborative enhancement strategy of permeability and selectivity has significantly improved the output power in osmotic energy generation; compared to the pure graphene oxide membrane, the composite membrane presents almost 20 times improvement. Transmembrane properties of ions are crucial for osmotic energy conversion. In this study, to achieve synergistic enhancement of permeability and selectivity, the mechanism of charge density and pore size in ion transport are studied in-depth. Results of the experiment and theoretical calculation demonstrate that the charge density and pore size should be matched to construct the optimal ion channel. This collaborative enhancement strategy of permeability and selectivity is expected to promote the utilization of clean energy in the future. image

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Antipolyelectrolyte Effect and Solubility of Polyzwitterions

In this work, by using coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations, we found that poly（2-metha-cryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine）（PMPC） showed a strong solubility and a so-called antipolyelectrolyte effect（APE）in water. In contrast, obvious aggregations but no APE were found in n-butyl-substituted choline phosphatepolymers（PMBP） solutions. The underlying mechanisms for different solution behaviors of PMPC and PMBP wereinvestigated in detail. Our results indicate that the presence of butyl groups in PMBP enhances both the electrostaticinteractions and the hydrophobicity of PMBP molecules in the system. Both factors were found to contribute to theformations of aggregates in the PMBP system. Further researches revealed that hydrophobicity arising from the butylgroup plays a more important role than electrostatic interactions in inducing the PMBP aggregation. In addition, thestrong hydrophobicity in PMBP was found to be responsible for the absence of APE. These results are expected tocontribute to a better understanding and a better design of the solution properties of polyzwitterions.

【目的】分子动力学模拟是研究微/介观尺度下物质内部运动和相互作用的强大工具,使科研人员可以观察到实验难以捕捉的细节。开发并优化分子动力学模拟软件可以使科研人员能够分析和预测复杂系统的微观行为,推动材料和医药等领域的科学发现与创新。【方法】传统的分子动力学模拟软件主要基于Fortran、C或C++等编程语言开发,其复杂的代码结构使得大多数用户难以增加新的功能。为此,我们汲取自主开发聚合物分子动力学模拟软件的经验,基于解释型语言Python开发了分子动力学模拟解释器PyGAMD。【结果】该解释器支持用户自定义分子动力学模拟功能,还包括了聚合物建模工具、异构加速库、数据处理等工具,用户可以通过PyGAMD轻松组合所需模块完成分子动力学模拟工作。在计算效率方面,PyGAMD的表现在多数场合都非常出色。未来,PyGAMD的发展将侧重于构建高度自由的多模块化框架,同时开发机器学习势能和细粒化等功能。

Noncovalentlycross-linkedpolymermaterials through healing,recycling,and reprocessing can reduce materials consumption and alleviate environmental ***,it remains a huge challenge to fabricate super-strong noncovalently cross-linked polymer materials with mechanical strength comparable to high-performance engineering ***,healable and reprocessable noncovalently cross-linked polymer compositeswith an unprecedented mechanical strength are fabricated by complexation of polyacrylic acid(PAA),polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVPON),and carbonized polymer dots(CPDs)(denoted as PAA-PVPON-CPDs).The incorporation of 15 wt%CPDs generates PAA-PVPON-CPDs compositeswith a tensile strength of∼158 MPa and Young’s modulus of∼*** nanofillers,theCPDs can establish strong interactions with polymers in PAA-PVPON *** CPDs and the in situ-formed PAAPVPON nanoparticles work in concert to significantly strengthen the PAA-PVPON-CPDs composites to an unprecedented *** PAA-PVPON-CPDs composites exhibit excellent impact resistance and damage tolerance because of the high mechanical strength of the composites and the energy dissipation mechanism of the CPDs and PAA-PVPON ***,the fractured PAA-PVPON-CPDs composites can be healed to restore their original mechanical strength.

Aiming at the triangular fuzzy(TF)multi-attribute decision making(MADM)problem with a preference for the distribution density of attribute(DDA),a decision making method with TF number two-dimensional density(TFTD)operator is proposed based on the density operator theory for the decision maker(DM).Firstly,a simple TF vector clustering method is proposed,which considers the feature of TF number and the geometric distance of ***,the least deviation sum of squares method is used in the program model to obtain the density weight ***,two TFTD operators are defined,and the MADM method based on the TFTD operator is ***,a numerical example is given to illustrate the superiority of this method,which can not only solve the TF MADM problem with a preference for the DDA but also help the DM make an overall comparison.

Achieving dynamic privacy measurement and protection based on reinforcement learning for mobile edge crowdsensing of IoT

With the maturity and development of 5G field,Mobile Edge CrowdSensing(MECS),as an intelligent data collection paradigm,provides a broad prospect for various applications in ***,sensing users as data uploaders lack a balance between data benefits and privacy threats,leading to conservative data uploads and low revenue or excessive uploads and privacy *** solve this problem,a Dynamic Privacy Measurement and Protection(DPMP)framework is proposed based on differential privacy and reinforcement ***,a DPM model is designed to quantify the amount of data privacy,and a calculation method for personalized privacy threshold of different users is also ***,a Dynamic Private sensing data Selection(DPS)algorithm is proposed to help sensing users maximize data benefits within their privacy ***,theoretical analysis and ample experiment results show that DPMP framework is effective and efficient to achieve a balance between data benefits and sensing user privacy protection,in particular,the proposed DPMP framework has 63%and 23%higher training efficiency and data benefits,respectively,compared to the Monte Carlo algorithm.

Rice Cultivation under Film Mulching Can Improve Soil Environment and Be Beneficial for Rice Production in China

Rice cultivation under film mulching is an integrated management technology that can conserve water, increase soil temperature, improve yield, and enhance water and nitrogen use efficiencies. Despite these advantages, the system does have its drawbacks, such as soil organic matter reduction and microplastic pollution, which impede the widespread adoption of film mulching cultivation in China. Nonetheless, the advent of degradable film, controlled-release fertilizer, organic fertilizer, and film mulching machinery is promoting the development of rice film mulching cultivation. This review outlines the impact of rice cultivation under film mulching on soil moisture, soil temperature, soil fertility, greenhouse gas emissions, weed control, and disease and pest management. It also elucidates the mechanism of changes in rice growth, yield and quality, water use efficiency, and nitrogen use efficiency. This paper incorporates a review of published research articles and discusses some uncertainties and shortcomings associated with rice cultivation under film mulching. Consequently, prospective research directions for the technology of rice film mulching cultivation are outlined, and recommendations for future research into rice cultivation under film mulching are proposed.
