In this paper, in situ （Ti, Nb）C particle （（Ti, Nb）Cp） reinforced Fe-based composite coatings were produced by laser cladding on the surface of the high carbon steel. The effects of heat input on the microstructure, distribution characteristics of particle, and mechanical properties of the coating were investigated. The results show that （Ti, Nb）C multiple carbide particle is synthesized during solidification of molten pool. The size of particle coarsens gradually, the area ratio of particle increases, and the amount of particles presents a non-monotonous variation with the increase in energy density. The mechanical properties of the coating are improved dramatically compared with those of the substrate, benefiting from its higher hardness and dispersed in situ （Ti, Nb）Cp in it. With the change in heat input, the mechanical performances of the coating vary except the hardness. When energy density is 1 × 10^5 ***-2, tensile strength and wear resistance of the coating achieve optimal value due to moderate content and size of the particle in the coating.

（Ti, Nb）C reinforced Fe based laser coatings were prepared with normal and high scanning velocities of the laser beam. The distribution characteristics of reinforced particles in the coatings were investigated. The mechanical properties of coatings were tested. The results showed that the morphologies of the microstructure and the reinforced particle changed dramatically at high solidification rate due to rapid laser processing compared with that prepared by normal processing. Two kinds of particles were observed in the coating. One was （Ti, Nb）C multiple carbide particle with the size of micron and sub micron scales, in which a mass of dislocations were found. Another was nano sized particle including a Fe and （Ti, Nb）C obtained by rapid solidification. The microstructure of the coatings was highly refined and a large number of twin crystals were found in matrix. The resuhs of mechanical properties test revealed that the wear resistance of the coaling was improved by rapid laser processing, compared with that of the coating prepared with normal speeds. The ahove-mentioned conclusion indicated that rapid laser cladding can promote not on ly the processing efficiency but also lhe mechanical properties of the coating.

AIM： To elucidate the molecular mechanisms of the inhibitory effects of IFN-α on tumor growth and metastasis in MHCC97 xenografts. METHODS： Three thousand milliliter of IFN-α-treated and international units per -untreated MHCC97 cells were enrolled for gene expression analysis using cDNA microarray. The mRNA levels of several differentially expressed genes in cDNA microarray were further identified by Northern blot and RT-PCR. RESULTS- A total of 190 differentially expressed genes including 151 IFN-α-repressed and 39 -stimulated genes or expressed sequence tags from 8 464 known human genes were found to be regulated by IFN-α in MHCC97. With a few exceptions, mRNA levels of the selected genes in RT-PCR and Northern blot were in good agreement with those in cDNA microarray. CONCLUSION： IFN-α might exert its complicated anti- tumor effects on MHCC97 xenografts by regulating the expression of functional genes involved in cell metabolism, proliferation, morphogenesis, angiogenesis, and signaling.

The proppant equilibrium height is the basis of investigating proppant distributions in artificial fractures and has a great significant influence on hydraulic fracturing *** are two shortcomings of current research on proppant equilibrium heights,one of which is that the effect of fracture widths is neglected when calculating the settling velocity and another of which is that the settling bed height is a constant when building the settling bed height growth rate *** fill those two shortcomings,this work provides a novel model for the proppant equilibrium height in hydraulic fractures for slickwater treatments.A comparison between the results obtained from the novel model and the published model and experimental results indicates that the proposed model is *** the sensitivity analysis,it is concluded that the proppant equilibrium height increases with an increasing proppant *** proppant equilibrium height decreases with an increase in the slickwater injection rate and increases with an increase in the proppant injection *** increase in proppant diameter results in an increasing the friction factor,which makes proppant equilibrium heights ***,the increase in proppant sizes results in an increase in proppant settling rates,which makes the proppant equilibrium height *** the effect of the proppant diameter on settling rates is more significant than that on friction factors,the equilibrium height increases with an increasing proppant *** work provides a research basis of proppant distributions during the hydraulic fracture.

In vitro cell loading experiments are used to investigate stimulation of strain to cellular proliferation. As the flowing conditions of culture fluid in loading systems has been little known, strictly people can not detect the influence of strain to cellular proliferation exactly because shear flow can enhance cell proliferation either. Based on the working principle and cyclic loading parameters, we simplify Navier-Stokes equation to describe the flow of culture fluid on substrates of uniaxial and equi-biaxial flat tensile loading systems and four point bending system. With approximate solutions, the distributions of velocity field and wall shear flow to cells are gained. Results show: shear flows are zero in the middle (or fixed point or line) of substrate for all systems, and they get larger proportionally to distance from middle and substrate elongate; the shear flow on the substrate of four point bending system is much greater than those of others. This shear flow in four point bending system, confirmed by Owan, I., et al with OPN mRNA increase in their experiment, could cause more influence to osteoblast-like cells than that caused by strain. We estimate the average magnitude of shear stress in Owan’s device, the results are consistent with other experimental data about shear flow. In conclusion our study makes it possible to differentiate the influence of strain on cellular proliferation to that of shear flow in loading experiments with the devices mentioned above quantitatively.

BACKGROUND Acute pancreatitis(AP)is an inflammatory disease in which the regulatory pathway is complex and not well *** suppression of tumorigenicity 2(sST2)protein receptor functions as a decoy receptor for interleukin(IL)-33 to prevent IL-33/suppression of tumorigenicity 2L(ST2L)-pathwaymediated T helper(Th)2 immune *** To investigate the role of sST2 in *** We assessed the association between sST2 and severity of AP in 123 patients enrolled in this *** serum levels of sST2,C-reactive protein(CRP)and Th1-and Th2-related cytokines,including interferon(IFN)-γ,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,IL-2,IL-4,IL-5 and IL-13,were measured by highly sensitive ELISA,and the severity of AP in patients was evaluated by the 2012 Atlanta Classification *** Serum sST2 levels were significantly increased in AP patients,and further,these levels were significantly elevated in severe AP(SAP)patients compared to moderately severe AP(MSAP)and mild AP(MAP)*** regression showed sST2 was a predictor of SAP[odds ratio(OR):1.003(1.001–1.006),P=0.000].sST2 cutoff point was 1190 pg/mL,and sST2 above this cutoff was associated with ***2 was also a predictor of any organ failure and mortality during AP[OR:1.006(1.003–1.009),P=0.000,OR:1.002(1.001–1.004),P=0.012,respectively].Additionally,the Th1-related cytokines IFN-γand TNF-αin the SAP group were higher and the Th2-related cytokine IL-4 in the SAP group was significantly lower than those in MSAP and MAP *** sST2 may be used as a novel inflammatory marker in predicting AP severity and may regulate the function and differentiation of IL-33/ST2-mediated Th1 and Th2 Lymphocytes in AP homeostasis.

Hard carbon(HC)is widely used in sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),but its performance has always been limited by lowinitial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)and cycling *** compensation agent is a favorable strategy to make up for the loss of active sodium ions consumed *** it lacks agent that effectively decomposes to increase the active sodium ions as well as regulate carbon defects for decreasing the irreversible sodium ions ***,we propose 1,2-dihydroxybenzene Na salt(NaDB)as a cathode compensation agent with high specific capacity(347.9 mAh g^(-1)),lower desodiation potential(2.4–2.8 V)and high utilization(99%).Meanwhile,its byproduct could functionalize HC with more C]O groups and promote its reversible ***,the presodiation hard carbon(pHC)anode exhibits highly reversible capacity of 204.7 mAh g^(-1) with 98%retention at 5 C rate over 1000 ***,with 5 wt%NaDB initially coated on the Na3V2(PO4)3(NVP)cathode,the capacity retention of NVP t NaDBjHC cell could increase from 22%to 89%after 1000 cycles at 1 C *** work provides a new avenue to improve reversible capacity and cycling performance of SIBs through designing functional cathode compensation agent.

Although solar steam generation strategy is efficient in desalinating seawater,it is still challenging to achieve continuous solar-thermal desalination of seawater and catalytic degradation of organic ***,dynamic regulations of hydrogen bonding networks and solvation structures are realized by designing an asymmetric bilayer membrane consisting of a bacterial cellulose/carbon nanotube/Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)nanorod top layer and a bacterial cellulose/Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)nanorod(BCH)bottom ***,the hydrogen bonding networks inside the membrane can be tuned by the rich surface–OH groups of the bacterial cellulose and Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)as well as the ions and radicals in situ generated during the catalysis ***,both SO_(4)^(2−)and HSO_(5)−can regulate the solvation structure of Na^(+)and be adsorbed more preferentially on the evaporation surface than Cl^(−),thus hindering the de-solvation of the solvated Na^(+)and subsequent nucleation/growth of ***,the heat generated by the solar-thermal energy conversion can accelerate the reaction kinetics and enhance the catalytic degradation *** work provides a flow-bed water purification system with an asymmetric solar-thermal and catalytic membrane for synergistic solar thermal desalination of seawater/brine and catalytic degradation of organic pollutants.
